Clearly, that's just a load of carp.

I like these (in part because they are nearby...): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shining_Rock_Wilderness https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joyce-Kilmer_Slickrock_Wilderness https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linville_Gorge_Wilderness https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bald_River_Gorge_Wilderness Of them, I've spent far more "alone time" in the Linville Gorge (particularly along and below Jonas Ridge).

Something I find curious is the modern assumption that somehow this particular iteration of "civilization" is permanent, that we've got it right this time and nothing the universe nor our own species can throw at us will bring the house of cards crashing down THIS time.

Please correct this error, thanks, drew hempel, M.A. You actually sign your e-mails "drew hempel, M.A."? I love it!

I find Shaman Flowing Hands' transmission usually cuts more cleanly, including this time.

Sincere behavior is not calculated for appearance, and vice versa.
-
I think the illustration of the principle via government is fitting (particularly, perhaps, in the current environment?) but I especially like that the transmission given to Flowing Hands avoids what might otherwise seem a proscription for governance. The principle is universal and runs deep in both human nature and the Tao.

Perhaps this forum would be more suitable for you: http://neigongforum.com/

You have a PPD. Post your personal experience and then, if you wish, lock the thread and walk away. You lurked here for more than a year before responding to X2471990's introductory post so not engaging in an argument you anticipate will happen shouldn't be hard. Frankly, I suspect the issue will simply be that others won't find your experience so singular and exceptional as you do, just as I suspect a description of the actual methods/techniques/mechanics of your practice would reveal that there's nothing unique about the physical practice of the first few levels of MoPai.

I have learned that sometimes a single lesson has multiple levels which are accessible according to one's frequency. Different people will learn what is appropriate for them and the same lesson delivered again later will be recognized to contain previously missed. I find this quite wonderful!

For those who don't know, HMS Jersey was a prison ship anchored at NYC in which more than 11,000 colonists died, far more than died in combat. Meant as a form of psychological warfare, backfired and was one of the most galvanizing influences of the period.

Remember HMS Jersey!

"... becomes a child..." is the pivotal phrase. As we grow up, we accumulate filters and attachments and misconceptions and such. As we awaken, we drop accumulated baggage and unforget how to see.

So... Tell me, Aunt Gertrude -- what did YOU study in college?

Hard to take someone like Gore seriously when he's made millions off his supposedly altruistic mission and he lives like he doesn't believe what he preaches.

I take it you didn't actually read the PDF?

http://www.consciousnessandbiofeedback.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Anomalous-Electrostatic-Phenomena-in-Exceptional-Subjects.pdf Before you say it, no, that scientific paper didn't name the test subjects. That's not how such things are generally done. However... Ken Cohen received the 2013 Alyce and Elmer Green Award from the ISSSEEM and that award identified him as one on the nine "exceptional healers" recorded in the 12-year-long Copper Wall Project experiments. The Greens were quite open about Cohen's identity subsequent to the journal publication.

It was part of a research study called "The Copper Wall Project." http://journals.sfu.ca/seemj/index.php/seemj/article/view/123/0

One shouldn't worry about or try to "open their pineal gland" or any other energy gate, chakra, etc. One should just practice a legitimate system and let unfold whatever unfolds, at whatever pace it happens.

It's still one of the few really awesome cults around, for those who like that sort of thing.

Have you seen the Terry Gilliam film with Robin Williams? I highly recommend it. There seems some lack of clarity in the various stories as to who didn't ask whom about what but my take has been the point was precisely about clarity -- that the mission became guarding a piece of pottery as a clandestine museum artifact rather than cherishing and sharing the power of its message. Asking "the question" would have thrown the situation into stark contrast in a clarifying and enlightening moment of revelation.

There are several legitimate high-level energetic systems discussed on the forum which would be beneficial for you. voidisyinyang mentioned Spring Forest Qigong and that is certainly one of them. My personal choice is Stillness-Movement, taught by Michael Lomax (who uses the screen name "Ya Mu" on this forum).

"...this is why nei Gong is kept secret we do not want people like this getting information..." Just wondering who "we" is in this run-on sentence fragment.
