The Way of Energy: Mastering the Chinese Art of Internal Strength with Chi Kung Exercise
LaoTzu21 replied to Encephalon's topic in Daoist Discussion
ive found a local senior practitioner in a town not too far from me i may try that but i bet nothing beats being taught by a master. -
the reason why they took it off is because scientifically homoeopathy has proven to be ineffective. this is not to say science is discriminating spiritual practices. theyve just cross referenced data to see if it does and doesn't work. and i wont admit defeat ever. how can i live my life like this when i need to be strong for the things to come.

well the way british healthcare works is first you go to the doctor then he recommends you to another until you find the right one. the first one you go to just signs you up to health from the professionals and helps you be diagnosed.

i dont think you can diagnose someone with ibs to eat a particular way. there maybe something common with some foods like gluten, or dairy products that might aggravate it. for someone with ibs they may eat anything. its just that some foods will make it worse. and tend to stress the person who has ibsw to the point of constipation. its also a mind set too. for instance its a downward spirial. and its like which came fiorst the chicken or the egg. what i mean by that is. is the body weak or did it start from the mind thinking negatively. my teacher said that alot of people underestimate the power of emotions causing long term illness. so from that im inclined to think that maybe my emotions caused this problem. but now i have it. its like i said its a downward spiral. first you get pissed off and irritable with your attitude to life because you have low energy this is caused by the i.b.s you have then it affects every aspect in your life. the taste of food looses its taste. music doesn't sound beautiful any more. and everything has a dull glaze over to it. its like wearing beer goggles when you look outside or walking about. but ive noticed when you meditate and practice chi kung i get this things back slightly. but it still affects my life for when im working mostly.

im just asking for directions and some knowledge to follow. as i have limited knowledge of my own on food. i mean sure everyo0ne knows what's healthy but i would like to know exactly what's good for me yet i dont know the best way to go about it. i think i might go and see my GP and ask him/her. but still sometimes even they don't know how to answer the simplest of questions. furthermore i dont have trust in gp's as the outcome for anything seems to be a prescription for some drugs that releive symptoms rather than cures them (the root cause). either that or they see would you like to see a councillor. my main aim to get this going is to a) first understand what food has gluten in, if someone can say almost every food that has it i will do my best to avoid such food items. whats the best amount of calories per day C) what vitamins and minerals does the body need in order to maintain the optimal functioning body. D) some good recipes for said diet. E) i have made the choice to start eating less meat and start eating more fish/vegetables. minus gluten and dairy. i have replaced milk with soya which seems to be much lighter on me. so if i could get some tasty recipes on these types of food in a healthy and nutritional way id appreciate it allot. plus if the posts are relevant and good allot of people will gain good knowledge too. i think this topic is well overlooked. another reason why im looking into to this topic is for meditation purposes. it seems if your not eating correctly its harder for the mind to focus on the dan tein with all these blockages. and eating the wrong foods is definitely a cause for these blockages. im just trying to get my foundations right.

until raw and 80 /10/10 has some science to back it up as in impircal evidence and cross reference's from real scientists and docters. until that day i will try and have a more balanced fish/vegetables diet.
-
i think im going off the idea of raw stuff and onto a more well balanced meal such as vegetables and fish minus dairy/gluten

Hi guys another problem solver for you, whenever i do half lotus meditation my legs start to shake especially my left side. then my back starts to ache and this causes me to push my limits in this position can anyone give some pointers on the correct position. and how to make it most comfortable. im currently using a zafu and zabuton. made of buckwheat. for comfort.
-
it would be nice to have that explained
-
lol thats funny but seriously ur saying i have to site through it? i think what i might do is one day sitting in a chair one day in half lotus or bermese. this way im getting relaxation and training
-
for now im going to read the 80 10 10 diet im sure this will help my problems with dietry advice. but im sure ibs is linked to dietry issues. hopefully its not a symptom just all on its own or is it?
-
can someone give me a breakdown of what i actually have to do. thers a lot of suggestions but what is the definite answer?
-
but that sounds so easy when you put it like that. i feel i cant relax at work and i mean u cant because u need to always focus and get on with the job. i just feel unfit as a human to have a job and do it well. because im focusing on how much it hurts. not intentially focusing but because its always there. and if i ignore this pain which i can do i dont go to the toilet for 3 days.
-
you actually cured your ibs?
-
off topic have a private convo please only contribute if its a valid education purpose not a slag match. thank you. but thats called a bigu fast its nothing to do with the 80 10 10 diet
-
i think im sold on this diet ive done alot of research and it seems to be the be all and end all of optimal diets. and for those who dont know what 80 10 10 means it means 80% carbs 10% protien and 10% fat.
