Hi fellow Bums i want to clarify something. As i have may have mentioned in my previous posts of me doing meditation unguided and screwing my reality up. i would like a step by step breakdown of what meditation is. and what the benefits are and what different types of meditation there are, what the main goal of meditation is. etc.. I want to start meditating again but im worried i may do it wrong again and go on a weirder path rather than a spiritual path. also one kung fu master of the crane and tiger shaoilin said that meditation is a waste of time because it deludes you rather than being in action. which was an interesting perception. so yes please give me an understanding of what it is and how to do it safely. i would like an in-depth explanation and also a summary so i can get the gist of it. any input would be appreciated thanks. Much love LaoTzu21

in this book it states the protiens are coming from the natural enzyems and amino acids before actual induced protein is far more healthier than having high protien for muscle devlopment. its basically stating that the need for a high protein diet is a common misconception. it apprently according to the studies in this book is the leading cause for heart problems and cancer. the main premise of this book is to eat like chimpanzees do. and the way we would eat if we kept a hold on nature. the book also states that we have been only cooking foods and eating animals for the past 10,000 years where as the other 990,000 years we survived on natural based fruit, nut and leaves. another thing it says about cooking foods is that the added heat from the process of cooking food adds toxins to the food that is not needed because the body cant absorb the true neutirents of what the food was in the first place. its like having a barbeque and putting red peppers on there and u see that black bit. thats the posions that youll be adding into the body. so says robert martin.

so to summarize should i give this diet a trial run? and keep you guys updates of the effects?

my main point is that doing this diet must be better than the diet of ready meals that im currently on i just want something that will work for me and give me the most energy naturally. i thought that this could be the answer. especially now when ive started fasting and i can taste teh difference and feel the difference when eating processed foods.

how do you open your third eye?

thank you astral its cleared a few things up. i just still feel a bit on edge like im being watched by some sort of demon i notice things move when there is no air circulating like wind. things just fall for no reason and they always have done. and its casuing me stress to think about it for some reason i cant let go and enjoy my meditation at the moment and a aprt of me wants to meet them which i strictly know is not a good thing. so your basically saying that i have to increase my own power through meditation. ive only recently started again but i am a sensitive soul so everything seems amplified when i do spiritual things. or even when i think about things. i just want to relax and be at peace and know i will have a safe journey.

i want to firstly meditate to heal my i.b.s (irratble bowel syndrome) and then for spiritual purposes such as breaking the circle of life.
-
its just freaking me out a bit im thinking about it alot and im wondering why i want to think about it because thinking about it will invite them.

he said you could actually see them clear as day infront of your face when you become a certain level.

maybe make this sticky?

Hi My Names Nick Weiland im 23 almost 24 now. altho this wont matter as when this gets older itll still say this age when in fact ill be older. I have been into spirituality and soul searching since i was 13 years old. Ive practiced meditation and shoalin kung fu (crane and tiger style) and been doping martial arts since i was six altho unfortunately i had to give up and all my flexibility is gone. but i practice chi kung and tai chi and go swimming and to the gym when i have time. My main profession in society is a musician as i find the tao and music work hand in hand. I feel a very close connection to the way of things. i always have since i was a little boy. but i still need to understand to become one with it. whilst living and after death. I have been keen on The Tao culture as my master says. since i was 15 im just learning the basics of it right now as expected. from my teacher whos a taoist monk from china.who i met by accident when i was talking to him in a chinese resteraunt about chi kung he asked me what do i know and i told him and then he expleined that chi kung isnt about movements and techniques and breathing its about your attitude towards life. if you practice a chi kung attitude naturally you will gain this energy. i really enjoy his words of wisdom. but sometimes find it hard to comprehend probably because of the translation from chinese to english and sometimes because its hard to comprehend anyway. maybe i can use this form to put his ideas into words and maybe someone with better english can help expolain what he means. also i will be using this forum for my own means to understand how to progress myself so i can win my inner struggle. so that one day i can do the same for many people through my music.

Is A.A (alcoholics anonymous) something somene should beleive in?
LaoTzu21 posted a topic in General Discussion
Is A.A (alcoholics anonymous) something somene should beleive in for a well balanced mind. I have a friend who has been an alcoholic ad has fund Th AA program for him to work. which is a good thing of course but then when im feeling down sometimes r a bit negative he hen said something that shocked me he thought i was an alcoholic because of my extreme emotions i have sometimes. He then wanted me to read this book to see if it would help me. I refused as I didn't think this was the right path in my nature. My question is does The AA do good for people or make them deluded? I've looked into the history of AA and the guy who wrote it seems to be a paranoid delusional. from some internet sources. and some scientific evidence that the Giving up rate for alcohol addiction gets worse from having AA. id like to see some pint of view from people on this forum. -
do you have to be strong to help someone or do you get stronger by helping someone?

No real experience what do you mean? -
i think what im really looking for is a way to end my suffering under i.b.s so i can function normally. its all emotionally related. so maybe its why it hurts when im doing chi kung coz i have been told by my tai chi teacher that chi kung helps you let go of things when you practice it. but i think my problem is letting go of what i have thats causing me pain. it causes too much pain to let go of it. its like punching yourself with a knuckle duster. and expecting not to feel anything afterwards. a constant struggle to let go of something that really hurts.
