  1. Hi, I just noticed these titles on Amazon yesterday: The Golden Book of Wisdom: Revelation of the 4th Tarot Card According to Franz Bardon by Seila Orienta (Author), Peter H Windsheimer (Translator) Alchemy ? The Mysteries of the Philosopher's Stone: Revelation of the 5th Tarot Card According to Franz Bardon by Seila Orienta There are no reviews at present. Does anyone know anything about them?
  2. Gott im himmel!! I think that Frater U.D.'s a good writer, but he reckons Bardon's approach is too pedestrian.
  3. There does seem to be a fair amount of literature on the subject in German which hasn't yet been translated, such as e.g. the books by Peter Dexheimer.
  4. This is worth bearing in mind: http://thetaobums.com/topic/35211-mo-pai-puppets-and-sleepers-banned/
  5. Bums Average Age

On Margate Sands. Nothing connects with nothingness..
  6. At the moment I do 5 minutes, but I've just started and I hope to go a lot longer. What I would like to do would be to do about 20 minutes low horse stance and then straight after go into Zhan Zhuang for thirty minutes, so I could do altogether 50 minutes. Is that advisable? After all the first is physical, the other is more energetic, so I'm not mixing different cultivation energies as such, which is said to be wrong.
  7. Got Any Fiction Recommendations?

M31: A Family Romance Going Native both by Stephen Wright
  8. Which 'Neigong Forum' Banner Is Best...?

Substitute a more generic image as opposed to John Chang's, since none of this has his endorsement.
  9. Which 'Neigong Forum' Banner Is Best...?

Using a silhouette of John Chang, I notice. A shame he's not willing to teach Westerners. Until then we have to make do with a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy of the first page of a book that is several hundred pages long.
  10. Mo Pai Discussion, anyone?

I think the trouble is that Mo Pai zealots think it invalidates every other cultivation method - thus they will always be at odds with everyone else they can't convince.
  11. Superbrain Yoga/Qigong balances brain hemespheres!

The compass cost $5 and isn't made by Apple.
  12. Superbrain Yoga/Qigong balances brain hemespheres!

It certainly looks like a technique worth trying out. You have to face in a certain direction, which is why I've bought a compass to assist me. The exercise is an old Hindu one: http://jayasreesaranathan.blogspot.co.uk/2009/03/thoppukkaranam-scientific-effect-on.html I've recently bought "Your Hands Can Heal You" by Master Stephen Co, an associate of C K Sui: http://masterstephenco.com/ What's interesting is that in the book, not only does he discuss the Five Tibetan Rites, he also mentions something I hadn't heard of before, breathing exercises from the Institute of Mentalphysics, which sound good: http://www.mentalphysics.net/
  13. What is the secret of being ultra smart ?

This has been in the news recently - brain training which allegedly makes brain functions four years younger. Although it may not boost your intelligence, it certainly seems to prevent its degradation. http://www.positscience.com/
  14. Northern Star Meditation

In the book Qigong Empowerment, Shou Yu Liang gives a number of exercises that involve absorbing Chi from celestial sources. Have any other forum members tried these exercises?
  15. Has anyone tried Iron Vest Qigong?

Sifu John Allen also produces DVD's on chi strength training - e.g. Stone Warrior and Iron Buddha. Is there anyone on this forum who has used these techniques? http://www.greendragonkungfu.com/
  16. Superbrain Yoga

Hello, I've recently bought SuperBrain Yoga by Master Choa Kok Sui, and am thinking of practicing it. It is supposed to boost the intellect and counter attention deficit disorder. I would be interested to know if anyone else on the forums has tried this.
  17. I've bought and read the book. Some parts were good, but advanced techniques seemed to involve crossing your eyes while looking at the tip of your nose, and drinking your own urine. There are many paths of cultivation, but this particular one doesn't appeal to me.
  18. Hello, can anyone suggest introductory texts on Dzogchen for me please? I've heard about Dzogchen but have not looked at it in depth. Thanks, TomBrad
  19. Hello everyone!

Hi, I've been following Taobums a long time and enjoy reading the posts on the forums. I attended the Stillness Movement seminar down in London in 2011. I hope there will be another one as I got a lot out of it.
