Lao Tzu left China on a Water Buffalo. Jesus came into town on a Donkey. Yellow Emperor rode the dragon to heaven. I like airplanes. But I wouldn't mind walking into town with a Pikachu, or riding to shore on a Dolphin, or fly with a Raven. What animal would you pick to ride on?

The pipes can be opened in an instant. But if the water is dirty, there is no benefit. The pipes will just get clogged again. -
MCO Practice Times (11am-1pm) & (11 pm - 1 am)
thetaoiseasy replied to Sebastian's topic in General Discussion
When it is 12 am, the body qi is concentrated near the beginning of both the CV and GV channels -- the hui-yin. When is it 12 pm, the body qi is concentrated near the end of both the CV and GV channels -- the bai hui. In such a way, one might say they are "connected" at those times. Look at the Tai Chi which describes the cycle of the sun. 12 pm, near end of both CV and GV Du Mai, along spine Ren Mai, along front 12 am, near beginning of both CV AND GV Traditionally, 12 pm is not a good time to practice. The energy is too hot and may gather in the head. 12 am is an important time, however. The energy is often called "budding yang." Before it transforms into sexual fluid or dreams and sinks down, you can harvest the good energy by meditation or some qigong. -
Two simple questions: Earth = yin? and What exactly is Personal Energy

Dawei, Are your color highlights suggesting that the word order in the translation indicates the respective yin/yang correlation? Because in Chinese, heaven is always said before earth, in the phrase "Tien Di." And Yin is always said before Yang, in the phrase "Yin Yang." It is just a manner of speaking, not indication of order in this context. If what i suggested is not your intent, and you are a native speaker, please forgive my misinterpretation. I just read your explanation twice in this thread, but still do not comprehend. ________________________________ From my perspective, In the I Ching, Yang is a single unbroken bar, ____ An unbroken bar resonates at around the third eye, in the upper body. Yin is a single broken bar, __ __ A broken bar resonates around the hui-yin, in the lower body. The ancients discovered all the trigrams by energetic correspondence in their own body. Heaven consists of three unbroken yang bars: Earth consists of three broken yin bars: Heaven is yang. Earth is yin. -
The "Official" Mo Pai & "Things You Might Not Know About Real Mo Pai" Thread
thetaoiseasy replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in General Discussion
Chuang Tzu said something along the lines of, "if a person calls you a horse, say yes! If a person calls you a cow, say yes!" He also said, "Don't talk about winter and fall to insects that only live the length of summer." Jesus said something similar, "Don't throw your pearls to swine, or they will trample on them." All three quotes are getting at the same thing: It is difficult to discuss certain things because everyone comes from such different levels of understanding and conditions. And people can only speak at the level they are at. The good thing is, in our minds, surely we could never be the horse, cow, summer insect, or the swine -- only other people are! Threads that span over 32 pages....well, people already know what they want. Nothing anyone says will change their minds, logical or not. -
