  1. DGS's Dizzying DVD Collection

Are there any sample videos of bamboo palm at the DGS website? Not sure how to recognize it. Right now I'm just trying to glean some basics and eventually build from there. Also, which training drill do you mean? Btw, the Bagua Poetry at the DGS website .. Awesome!!
  2. Heart As Qi Circulation Focus

Actually, come to think of it, there's a qi gong movement, "open the heart" which basically pulls energy into the middle dantien from the universe for a while and then gives it back. I find this really sort of loosens up a lot of inner resistance to receiving and giving. By the same token, this loosening of resistance seems to carry over in allowing qi flow and accepting it into different areas, then letting it continue on to different areas. So it makes sense to me from that, sort of "intuitively," that an open heart allows all the other organs to function harmoniously by non-interference and nourishing. That said, "know the male, but keep to the female" - Lao Tzu.
  3. Higher Spiritual Attainment

Is it? Maybe it's just like having a weight on one side of the coin...?
  4. Higher Spiritual Attainment

or maybe like someone running around in the lake trying to catch a fish, muddying up the water, rather than taking their time or floating on top of it
  5. People ought to use a cup of water to rinse their shaving razor, rather than running the water the entire time they shave. Then you can also toss the water in the toilet rather than clogging the sink. The razor cleans out way faster this way too. Buying organic makes a pretty huge difference as well, not just on personal health. Of course, using plug in kettles and toaster oven uses way less electricity. Not for everyone, but eating vegan a few times a week or more is super cheap, and good for the world. If your worried about protein, just snack on shelled pumpkin seeds. -my 2c
  6. In Taoism what reconciles yin and yang?

didn't think you were Yes, Tao seemed like a fairly obvious answer to me, but there is much more to say about what it actually could mean in this question.. ditto. Seemed like maybe you were also implying that man was sort a reconciler, as the two between one and three?
  7. Chi blockage.....help!

I'm not doctor, but I'd say just be sure to drink lots of orange juice to get plenty of Folate. Alcohol destroys folate which is what causes some of the disconnect in the nervous system after a binge drinking. Folate basically connects the nervous system and receptors, so when you binge drink, the next morning your nervous system is weak because there is no folate to make the connections so you feel off. I'd also suggest drinking green tea before qi gong as it can help the practice, in my experience. You might look into a safe detox tea as well. Just do be careful of mixing herbs with prescription medications or pre-existing medical conditions. The Chinese doctor might prescribe some other herbs or something better if you give him all the details you've mentioned.
  8. In Taoism what reconciles yin and yang?

Well, yeah, I just mean in terms of "so there is three forces yin, yang and a reconciling force which unifies both together, without the trinity and third force how can there ever be a harmonisation?" There is harmony because Tao is Tao, because Tao is the way of harmony. Like Liu I Ming talked about the way holes are filled and mounds are leveled. Yin and Yang cooperate due to the nature of Tao.
  9. Heart As Qi Circulation Focus

May be of use to consider that the heart is viewed as the "emperor" of the other organs, in a Tao Te Ching sort of emperor's way, in that if the emperor is at one with Tao, all will be in harmony. So during meditation, so long as the heart is one with Tao, things sort of take care of themselves, imo. The Neiye talks about this as well. There is also an alchemical writing, "Compass Center Directions", which talks about the main focus being on the mysterious middle area between the heart and the lower dantien.
  10. Some questions about Taoist yoga & Microcosmic Orbit

Yeah, once I tried it more I could see it didn't really require much method for moving the fists. Sure, maybe something in the Taoist discussion for longevity practices in general?
  11. Do You Have A Hidden Agenda ?

Right, especially when some lonely people resort to saying offensive and provocative *&%#, trying to stir up conversation by passive aggressive slaps in the face in hopes they might get a response. Most people might ask a question, however, the lonely passive aggressive is too insecure to consider other's points of view, so they just rape people of their time by sticking them and forcing them into a defense against gross hyperbole or bits of truth packed in a paragraph of lies.
  12. A vicious frog

This, seemingly your only definition of God, appears to be the bane of your existence. Yet you seem like you would so love to take his place. God wouldn't hate you for being transgendered, but maybe spewing so much loathing and hatred on those who see things differently than you.
  13. DGS's Dizzying DVD Collection

Maybe somebody here could help me with this. I've been doing some Chen style silk reeling, and added a "serving cups" routine with a few other bagua fists. From there I'm adding a few things from watching DGS demonstrations and the silk reeling video above. Serving cups generally keeps the palm facing upwards. The flowing wrists of Bagua could put some additional strain if not held right. Is there something to be sure the wrists are proper? Maybe the balance of loose and flex or not holding something in the palms?

  15. Some questions about Taoist yoga & Microcosmic Orbit

Looks like they are mostly pulling up a with the fists too. Great share! Thanks!
  16. Earth music

I'm pretty sure if the Chakra frequencies are correct, they would be in the low low registers, like C at 32.75hz. I'm starting to think there might be something to the original correspondences, since there are earth resonances in the 30 to 45hz range. The lowest earth resonance is 7.8 which, by my calculation, would make it almost a B 7.71, which we can't really hear though we can probably feel. C at that range is 8.187, so a semi tone would be unnoticeable. So to Manitou's original question, yes, there are a few things to B, though others as well. This is probably why there was conspiracy theories about Haiti being victim to an earth quake weapon. They have bad soil erosion (could be fixed by growing industrial hemp crops) so this simple knowledge, known by anyone familiar with basics of light and sound, might be used to disturb the earth this way. There is already a weapon used on protestors to make them shit their pants using the same application of sound.
  17. Dabbling in bagua zhang

No idea, but thanks for bumping this thread!
  18. Do You Have A Hidden Agenda ?

Vmarco, I think if you meditated you might not be so consumed by hatred. Would that not be a healthful and positive endeavor? Maybe it's not the offroad for you personally right now, but there might be some peace in this world for you yet..
  19. WU LIU PAI

Looks like there are many correlations to Stillness-Movement, about which I know basically nadda, other than that it involves some spontaneous movement, is comparatively simple, is incredibly effective, is connected to Wu Liu Pai, and I want to learn it more and more every time I hear something about it. Personally, from my perspective, simplicity of methods is a good sign of authenticity as that seems to be what is written the most by lineage ancestors. Sort of like, Tao is simplicity, if you meet it half way it will carry you home.
  20. WU LIU PAI

Yo, Sinfest! Time to shine dude!
  21. Higher Spiritual Attainment

There is an expression I like about a Taoist master "keeping his gold in a tattered sack" like "shooting a sparrow with your most precious jewel" to paraphrase Ssu-ma Ch'eng Chen

"See with your ears, hear with your nose, smell with your whiskers, feel with your eyes" Your cat?
  23. Auditory hallucinations

can you say what kind of qi gong or meditation practices you do?
  24. Yeah, I think it's important to express how you feel, but you don't have to let your control you. They say the heart is the king in that it controls the other organs and emotions (you can also cool the heart by breathing though). So you can easily express your point of view without losing domain over your heart. Maybe that person needs to hear what you have to say. It might actually do them some good and if you tell them without disturbing your pulse you might teach them something like "we don't have to be vulgar to have our dignity and assert ourself." You might bring the person to a more open state of awareness by dealing with the situation in this manner. Sometimes people are not aware of the impact of their actions so you would be right to bring this fact to light - that what they did was disgusting, just with "oh come on man!" A good example is when thelerner PMed me. I made a comment and didn't quite realize all the implications of it in response to a comment by thelerner which basically made the same oversight. I think we both gained from the conversation in the end since neither of us got too ahead of ourselves in the process. We both seemed to have the interest of informing the other person so it didn't get too "off the hook" or past the point of no return. So I'd say speak up, but don't sacrifice your dignity in the process. Mostly people just look really foolish when they become angry. "The wise learn more from fools than fools learn from the wise"
