  1. This is a good Tutorial Relates to Chi Kung

That is understandable Oh I can do this from now on - I do practise a lot -a lot of things -read alot of things, watch a lot of things, experiment alot and discover a lot and I expirience enough and with the information I turn them to practise and some results are bitter earned that it is difficult to hold of comments and I do not have the patience from mjbecker or Taomeow yet. I hope you tell then more about the practise part. Also I hope we hear results from your training. When you say "The ultimate goal in Chi Kung is have to ability to perform abdominal breathing" then this obviously wrong. From what I read, expirience from energy arts view/believe/expirience there are many goals and abdomial breathing is a tool and not the goal. Mostly from what I encountered ,Qigong is done for health, martial arts, sorcery and spiritual development to yield the best possible result one personal can gain in these areas.

This is what the physical body does. Chi is in small potion in the Air. The lungs are filed and the whole respiration process one can see in the Wiki while energy is seperated from the air and run into the Dantien- if it ever come into the body and if the body is take it down to the Dantien and if the Dantien takes it. Air do not pass the lungs, energy does. Edit And even when it is only air. Abdominal breathing gives you 1/5 of breathing and Chest breathing even less. As long the the breath is segmented it will not result in Full Body Breathing and hit 100%. With abdominal breathing one only get 1/5=100%. 4/5 of the space are left out. When get better in abdominal breathing it is the growth of this 1/5 not of the rest of 4/5.

This looks useful. Master James Lu named his form 5 Elements Breathing and not 5 Elements Qigong and he told that most people only use 1/3 or less of their breathing. Since I exercise this Breathing Form I find that this is true. And the form is a very advanced to make breath about 4-5 times higher and done as told still 2-3 times higher. I would prefer you say that you "believe" and not "is". I do not believe "Abdominal breathing is the ultimate goal" it is for me "a" stepstone- a very small step stone "in econmical use of resources of the human to express the potential a human has" Nah, I practise and one can sink breath, one can sink internal breath, one can sink heaven qi, one can sink local qi and can even sink sound. Breath is only a small part. But if you would say getting 100% and expand this 100% then I would like to hear this since this would be a good base to explore Qi and since one is in a high state of breathing one is familar and would not mistaking Qi for Breath. In the 5 Elements Breathing "one can" build lots of energy in the particular organ and it is necessary to be able to "sink Qi into the Dantien". For example I can build so much force in the lungs that they pain. And I can dislocate the pressure into the lower dantien without having any pressure in the lungs but the lower Dantien. Well correctly for those only introduced into breathing. Words with double meaning are to camouflagge the meaning. Hunter X Hunter (Hiatus X Hiatus) author had a scene where the teacher Wing was telling his future students Gon and Killua the theory of NEN. He had not lied but result in "moral teaching". Later he told them the real meaning behind the obvious words which result in "princip". Who knows maybe he is in some sort of japanese Taobums - who know what authors are here in this forum since people need inspiration, I must only mention Kungfu Panda and Avatar- for insiders. Sink "Air" into the lower Dantien and Sink "Energy" into the lower Dantien are two different things which can run togehter but not necessary. The first one you desribe is easier to aquirre- really easy with Hsin Tao by Ratziel Bandler and the second is an azzhole(how long it took personally) but can be figured out by the Water Path Breathing Method from Bruce Kumar Frantzis lineage. good job. Teaching selfresponsibilty is good job."
  4. Old neigong manual

No PDF Version? Would also pay only for the Neigung part the amount.
  5. Sitting posture

If you sit comfortable it mostly not errect. So if you do correctly you will bend over when you sit relaxed and comfortable. When Burmese or half lotus one bend on the same level more over and in a Lotus one will kiss the ground with ones head. So you may put many many pillows on the ground on the level the head is bending. If you sit almost straight. Sit in front of a wall, the head will touch the wall. If one is more errect then one can sit in front of table since you can but your legs below the table. In all cases Qi should sink and then rise and make the upper body errect while opening the body up, something one do not need to do- only to check how much one bend over and take care that all parts of body are moved by breath. Some are even rising little by little with time while sitting in the same session. The strength of sitting practise is to use less the energy in the legs to make the energy rise in the upper body, the energy and system modicfication one gain again support standing practise as the part the legs would make the spine raise will do other things. 6. Sitting posture

From my perspective you have not gain the breathing space opening by Yin Yoga which is caused by holding a posture for a several time under the tension of stretching of body. When one breath correctly the whole body breath and moves the body- all of the body which makes possible to maintain smooth and flexible. In the posture there will everywhere in the body a feel of stretching only the place which is streched by the posture has greatest intensity. Which this sort of stretching one gain overall slow progress in open the body, while more space for breathing and so greater motion to make the body move. If the place not move enough it becomes stiff the concept is "use it or loose it". The problem is maybe that the breathing motion is only fixed on the respiration system around lungs and diaphragm. So try to observe the part in the body that moves. Observe an animal, when it breath the whole body moves and even the limbs, even when it is sleeping. Also you need to move around the joints before sitting, like rotating them, because when the joints are not moved by the breathing motion they are in a stiff state and moving them is to warm up the place and make more space avaiable. A other things it to observe the force one use while one is in a streched position and in non streched position. When one breath then the body moves. The more stronger the breath the greater the risk to overstretch parts of the muscle by breathing. So use less force when the stretching is greater. One may be able to do several sort of complicated contortion but loose the gracefull movement of a tiger. Sitting higher is also an option for sitting -like on a cussion - but one has to sit on the hip bones, else use towel and something simliar and fold it to the height on sit and can breath more easily and deep. And befor sitting one move up the Pelvic floor, take the sitting posture and release the tension back to its natural tension. As well if you follow the "Seven-point posture of Vairochana" use them loosly, just remind yourself often about the posture but relax and let go. Take the Vairo again from time to time and let go to sit comfortable like a flatend balloon. The Vairo is the Ballon one wants in the future to have fully filled, but for now one is the flatend ballon. It will be filled with growing inner strength. It is diffcult to fill a form when something else is already in it. Control of the posture is like filling the ballon with stones so it has the form of an air filled ballon - well only stiff and stones are heavy. If one sit straight with much effort one have a pull from the back on the hip area and this will cause a movement on the muscle and sinews which are run from the hip areas to the knee and this is because of the push of the buttocks down to raise the spine into an errect postion. Well this cause stiffness in the hips and knee pain from my observation. So one do find ways to make the back and especially the lower back more subtle so that one needs less force to sit errect. 7. I seem to google and do not find any books under the name of yours and of the label. Would be fun try it out.
  8. Religious Taoism & The Monkey King...

Josh, I just understand Journey to the West as a text of person in confrontation with life situation, each of the group represents several main aspects of a whole person which influence each other. If Sun Wukong is Ego/Mind than he still try to serve Xuanzhang the true self is a point in the story and often it does rampage and shake the heavens, break the rules and dissobey them. Still he is loyal which I see with his own teacher who teach him the 72 Transformation (power)(able to learn this need great potential, even the test of knocking the back of his head is a test of perception) while Xuanzhang get him out of the mountain. The Mind/Ego is surpressed by the 5 Elements and the true self is resucing him. In some way the story seem to tell that the true self- because its purity -do not understand it well if other things like demons want to trick and often it is Sun Wukong who see behind the scheme and try to warn especially after obtaining the fire eyes. So the mind is need in times to perceive with clarity. So much about sharing one of many possible interpretation of part of this story. One of the thing to worship the deity is not only to pay him respect with prayer, rituals and sacrifices but to have the virtue of this deity cultivated. So you will need to cultivate clarity, sharp senses, intelligence, loyality and cleverness for example- and stay out of things the deity dislike. Best, Q
  9. Since when you became Sifu "Herafield"? Time 1:00 Edit: The sitting is something I try to figure out. The concentration in the middle Dantien is great and the movement of the hands moving the energy trough all three Dantiens. The development is sort of quantity which is needed in the standing form. The standing is quite interesting, looking forward for the second DVD. But I feel it has something with the potential I see which is the explosiv use of the LDT- field in expansion backing up the hands in connection of the Mantis hands pointing field. The speed to expand and contract the LDT is... slow, I think developing the internal force behind is .... slower. And the main point is first to have enough energy to produce a big enough field. Can understand why on has to use the Mantis Hand else other hands do not work well. I find the this set quite interesting.
  10. Indeed, one of Hu Yaozhen is teaching and is on this board. You can guess what I used for healing.
  11. This Golden Mantis Hei Gung is not beginners stuff and is strongly pushing and can be very demanding on the body as it forces structures open. Forces are mainly work in the chest in sitting and standing in diaphragm. One has to take care of breathing more gentle. It would be wise to exercise other more gentle things like Red Dragon or Sunn Yee Gong. Quality is good this time. I still have some additional recommendation: When a form is long one do a fast run of the form so it stays in the brain. Else media player can fasten the speed so it is optional. From Information and showing an exercised form it is well done. Other things are decoration.
  12. Suggestive believe..... hmm I did a healing. A person asked me about Qigong. I not even said a thing about spontaneus movement. When I project energy she had spontaneus movement, posture and even cried, her pain in the shoulder was released and the left ear becomes clear. She said she could not control them. Well I do not say a word in the session and not even do or said something for comfort when she cried and her eyes were closed. Suggestive believe.... hmmm I did a healing.
  13. Stillness and Movement Kung.

I said so because you neither have a course with someone in Stillness Movement Qigong, the book, the DVD or practise any of the exercise of them, this why I think you are not to be able to describe it yet . Chidragon, do it like the great kings for the I Ching. Do not change anything 實事求是 The kings, confucius do not change the text but put their names and their interpretation below, as well they do not change the interpretation of others. So please put you filteration under the unfiltered origin.
  14. Stillness and Movement Kung.

As if you are able to describe- yet.
  15. A very old topic but the Stuff is one of the more useful things out there for me to mention. As it is said it is not labeled as Qigong but as a Breathing. When one is not able to read the exercise it may just bring an overall well being and maybe one luckily reach +66% as intended for this form. But what makes this form interesting is that there are things either Mister Lu could not tell or is not aware to tell. There are two secrets one is "the center to move change." "And the maximum breathing" before "shift of center to move change" Each submovement has a different center also has different space where breathing can fill out. So look deeper Best, Q
  16. Stillness and Movement Kung.

    He is no chinese.
  17. How effective are the Taoist practices that you do?

Secret.... Precious things are rarely handed out freely. Wisdom is often confuse with Ignorance. The intent to do something good may lead to worse things and I heard a saying that those who had good intention was tyrannic in history. Wanting to be an hero means you also wish for situation one can be hero, and this situation are those of catastrophe and disaster. I see nothing wrong with a Christian. When you have understood the Christians teaching you would have let go of Dogma. The Christian Saints had done this and they were free of Dogma. What is cultivated is kindness and the rituals are fool of meanining in the esoteric. Also the mainstream things have their secret sides. Because when one ask for more, someone who has undertaken the steps see that you if you have developed the awareness and do not tell you because you can not perceive the things to have the gain. It is a time a teacher come into the seminar and project a big sphere but nobody can see this so he teach only what is mainstream but he would have teached anybody who could see the big sphere, secrets. You must know there is a lot of offer, but each offer is also a test for readiness to receive. And the internet is full of techniques which are meant to be secret. Also the techniques have secrets inbuild which can be unlocked by progress, time and effort. Demanding things is as well to be holier than others in my view. People have their freedom to decide if they want or do not want to share. I think it is up to John Chang to decide. Else I remember he was Christian and the techniques are not Taoist. The current mainstream understanding is superficial. The techniques in the mainstream with easy access through, books and internet are not, some see the silver around but inside there is a "gold mine in an other universe". And the deeper meanings come when it is like Chuck Norris joke: "Chuck Norris do not read books, he stare at the book so the book tell him what he want to know" ... only this is not a joke, the exercise will reveal gradual step by step things that are not written. And if the potential and talent is low even a high level technique is just some callinestics and 40 years still has lead to nothing. "A 100 meter high tree can not grow to its seize when the ground is not fertille enough to let it grow so high in nature. But human are clever they will find different ground or fertilze it." Peace, Q
