  1. Welcome to the "Animal Farm".
  2. What Qigong style is it?

Seem to be there are many variations I also have seen one of Master Master Wu Weizhao with two exhales and one inhale. Thanks for the variation (It was also new for me that Prof Cong was behind too.) with no breathing and the 4th beat. Something I can add for the normal walking from my observation with one palm facing the dantien and the other hang down at the side. The arm that hangs down is having the back facing to the front not to the side! This has to be done by taking back the chest. When the chest sticks out like soldier the hands will rotate the arm making the palm to the side. This can develop a breathing habit which is a bit high and not so good. People call that Supermansyndrom. Edit : Here you can read this article http://www.breathing.com/articles/superman-syndrome.htm Also the arm making the palm facing the Dantien has to have open armpits. This is a said since some people press the ellbows against there side and close the armpit. A bit awareness on expand the lungs on that side is increase the expansion while checking to release some extra tension. The halfstep serves at that time to almost no presssure to breath in also because of the more stronger bend knee and the second step gives pressure. I find from my observation the Walking Qigong is awesome high tech build form if one can read it for higher oxygination, expand of breathing space and fluidity of the breathing by connecting to breath parts.
  3. What Qigong style is it?

Little because I had in the late 90th get it in the Esotera, a new age magazine. Also played with the normal walking where one hands project to the abdomen. I found also the video years ago in the internet and found it abit off how it is puplic teach in the variants of only nose and by using tones. When they "sang" XiXiHu I was perplexed as I realized that time the six healing sounds came from observing of sound created in stressful situation and at times also change spontaneus into other sound which would be categorize for other organs. In the end the hearable sound cease to soundless. When sound was produced by the organ by putting awareness it would spontaneus cause a sound if one allow. I found that it also varies in different degree with the six healing sound Mantak Chia use. Which seem to be the degree the stress is in the organ. Taken the Liu Zi Jue has the sound Chart I find most real and practical http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liu_Zi_Jue 嘻 XI [pronounced like 'she' with tongue high, and well forward, in the mouth] - 'mirthful' - Regulate the Triple Burner Qi[1] 呼 HU [pronounced like 'who'] - 'to sigh,' 'to exhale,' or 'to call' - Cultivate [or Shore Up] the Spleen/Pancreas Qi So this combination is from analyzing another book : Energy Medicine by Donna Eden very interesting. Ms.Eden said something when I remember correctly that the Triple Burner has to often sedated and trace the Meridian backwards and a bit forward at the end to lower the Adrenalin or so. Also the Spleen has very importance in that system. It gives a light body. Also the double inhale is highly interesting to watch for. As it is not two short but 2 full inhale. Actually when the posture change one can inhale again mostly as if one has breath out. There is a time that 2 times inhale does not work when one has full balanced the inhale that one can do 1 inhale with the amount of 2 Inhale. (This result in 1 inhale and 1 exhale) I like the flow of this discussion Soaring Crane, thank you!
  4. What Qigong style is it?

Ah so you also practise Guo Lin Walking Qigong? I get it from the XiXihu, two times inhale and one time exhale. It was also very popular in China to treat cancer and was developed by Guo Lin by an more ancient form of Qigong she learned. A word is that it looks much like stepping in Xing Yi Quan with its half step and this again look much like the Pace of Yü which is to step on foot, feet together reverse foot doing the same.
  5. What Qigong style is it?

Oh you heard it too about the Zifa part?
  6. What Qigong style is it?

Oh that means as the other teacher utilize the system for the physical aspect you can do one for the spiritual aspect! I feel alone the poems and meaning behind the form are beautiful.
  7. What Qigong style is it?

    Only German http://www.qigong-gesellschaft.de/dqgg-publik/qigong-material
  8. What Qigong style is it?

I am aware some moments ago that this System develops a Embryo. That is an interesting information when it is accurate.
  9. What Qigong style is it?

You can watch the style in the first link under "Die Übungen" http://www.fanhuangong.com/video/
  10. What Qigong style is it?

I google it and sum up since Fanhuangong was not mention here on TTB in detail. I am not familar with this system, I only heard it once when I was with my former main teacher who had a student who was also teacher in that school and for Fanhuangong. I was eating with him in the break but he was keep mouth sealed when I asked about details. (Well he is Qigong teacher and information is buisness so I guess) I read it here : http://www.fanhuangong.com/ "Bis zum 20. Jahrhundert hinein war es eine sehr geheime Übungsmethode, die nur von Herz zu Herz übertragen wurde, daher gibt es fast gar keine schriftlichen Aufzeichnungen und auch sehr wenig Praktizierende." I may interpret it false if it is meant a only "oral" transmission. for the "heart to heart". As some of the school I expirience have "energetic" transmission. I also expirience myself that most exercise run its own but if one get the energetic transmission one is catapult in development. This is what happens when I was on Seminar for Sifu Wong, one can introduce the Chi Flow how it is called with using the infomtion in the book and free on Youtube but the personal is again is "heart to heart". Also this page here desribe the exercises more clearly I think: http://www.qigong-ausbildung-berlin.de/pages/fanhuangong.html
  11. What Qigong style is it?

Can you tell us Soaring Crane (I am the only one who feels odd that you carry the Name of the Qigong Ralis mentioned ?) "What are the aspects of the most advanced Qigongs?" For the other readers: A short what Fan Huan Gong - 返還功 - Return (to) Source Work. It is a DaoYin with 8 Movements and is said to be a Set of Movements practised by Quanzhen. Also it is Heart to Heart transmission method. So a visit for a teacher is needed to receive a transmission. You may add information you think are important Soaring Crane.
  12. What Qigong style is it?

Ok then change the rest to 能量 功- Energy Work - Neng Liang Gong. Today we called Neng Liang Gong instead of Qi gong and change "氣功" to "空气功". Air Work.
  13. What Qigong style is it?

Oh sorry Ralis to involve you to answer, I asked "Chidragon", Ralis :"Some styles neglect the breath." ChiDragon: "Then, that is not Qigong at all." Friend:"What is it then?" or "How to call that Style then?"
  14. What Qigong style is it?

    What is it then?
  15. What Qigong style is it?

I have seen the Soaring Crane before in a book as one of the first Qigong Books I read and it is different than the "Lifting Qi and Pouring Qi down" in the Zhineng Qigong, which I first hand use to to open up the body below and above which is stronger focus on this opening than in the Soaring Crane which do different things and there are also part for specific health issues in this Crane Qigong, but well it is nearly 20 years now - cant remember well the Soaring Crane.
  16. Deng & Blofield works. Is it ethical?

What do we learn? People have to cultivate more resilence. Also to question the reason "Why is it so?" and beside the negative choice try to find the positive choice. To tell what is wrong and who said it is enough to keep ones equilibrium. Any more word to instigate is not tactful for the other readers. A person who is in right makes someone else angry too is same as someone who is not in the right who caused the anger. It is also cause anger when one talk about the stuff that make one angry with others. The other is having compassion to listen and feel the same as they are on the same side. So let people listen complaining to gain approval makes one feel better but spread the negative story to as many one tell it. An example on what is appropiate is : How powerful we become in martial arts the law forbids to acts violent even when on is the victim and the one who gets attacked. Martial Artist when they punched the culprit have bad cards in front of the officers. It is different when one control culprit and seal the attack. As well in the heated surrounding a word of swear is enough to make officers loose composure. People who want go more specific should read "Dirty Ground" by Kris Wilder and Lawrance A. Kane. One may be absolute right but if the culture of the place has unspoken subrules then one has to be careful about word. If the teacher is easygoing with other teaching beside of his you can talk about and discuss the methods. If the teacher is about to his lineage is the only one, talking about other methods is affect the relationship. There are countries you can openly swear to the authority with little consequence while it is written in the laws that it is forbidden. And at times even the police is asking twice to give a chance to correct the words spoken in agitation before giving a fine and only in extreme cases will use locks and those who have bad mood will getting more rough. Other countries will go and give a head shot by the rules and right to stop the stir up of rebellion and oral offense against the authority as it 'might' inspire others to do this also. It is the form an information is presented and where and when. So my opinion.
  17. Feeling A Little Lost.

In the name of everyone you are official excused and forgiven. Have nice sleep at night and try better next time.
  18. Author Tom Bisio?

Nei Gong Zhen Chuan This one has to be read with google or with an acupuncuture book as it mention lots of points and structure allignment which had been better done with a drawing. The reader has to expect to know the Triagrams and TCM good. Also it look like notes. I think it is better explained when someone shows it personally as the whole stuff takes less than ten minutes from a teacher of a Bagua Lineage when doing a correction. The reading is exhausting and time consuming. A summary had been nice after each chapter since the definition of the terms alone making losing the connection of application. For me it has little use except the pointer on page 65 by using breathing to draw Yongquan (K1) to work on Zhen Qi but well other methods use similar methods. More use is the third scroll in the book especially I took into awareness by the words of "When attack there is falling and fear" which is quite useful when one has developed the force that maintain the body errect and gives at least the useful of martial arts practise to raise the confrontation abillity to resist treatening force and maintain balance. Update: I also read now also the Circle Walking Book as well Snowmonki comments on amazon. I see that the goal of the book seem only to present the Meridans and the posture to work on two meridians at the same time which is a similar idea as Erle Montaique but having a stimulating of one Meridian mostly: http://www.taijiworld.com/tai-chi-healing.html A thing is ... I can not find the blog from Mr. Bisio with google - help please! Also for circle walkers I would recommend something "Japanese" "Nanba Aruki" http://www.tofugu.com/2012/07/24/namba-aruki-samurai-walk/ http://www.tofugu.com/guides/namba-aruki/ This may helpful for arts such as Xinyi, Wing Chun as well. I tell you to be extreme careful with changing walking as in kinesiology this sort of walk considered unilateral as I understand and is draining and can damage health. For example when I change the walking recently because of my relaxed carring, the stuff would slip out of arms as it weakens. So you can guess if one walk normally with opposite arm and legs lifting and start fighting one may have a disadvantage to use a "uni-lateral" technique One need to balance this with which is about using 12 times same arm and same lifting (uni-lateral) and the double amount 24 times lifting the opposite arm and leg at the same time.(bi- lateral) (Donna Eden- Energy Medicine) This is to make avaible on is strong when one do bi-lateral stuff. You can say it is unwise to sit crosslegged on the floor while the system is running uni-lateral, the meditation will void and deplete ones system. From this I have try a bit around and found that with reversing 12 times and bi-lateral and then 24 times will polarize to uni-lateral. It is just the polarisation doesnt lead to right balance. Actually it is best to be strong either uni-lateral and bi-lateral. So to balance this one do several times bi-lateral and uni-lateral balancing and switch back and forth until both are strong. How to explain strong without a partner doing muscle test? It is a feeling that one feels first awake and second that the movements seem to be more easy and almost rise from its own while the body is errect when strong but slump when weak. Other source I would recommend is to look into Alexander Technique and the use of two chairs on both side of the body and do marching. This is used to learn and correct the body to have the hip and shoulders are on the same level, such as above in the links for Nanba Walking. I think this may boost your practise.
  19. What are you reading right now?

Thanks for mention Taomeow. This book gives me a lot to think and to reflect on. I read the book and I think there is the need to see into our society in the moment. Many people now own many different things and also in great variation because of the wealth and the mass consume by making rare stuff avaible to everybody and the result of the different tools to express the individulalty. In addition the possesions (possesive?) have become more information based because of the development of personal computers. Especially I listen attentively when she said that the things we own are filled with our energy and the more we like and use it the more it is filled (german version-my understanding). So a territory we have to look inside is "What is on our PC?" Mostly we have lots of links, bookmarks, musicdata, games, electronic writtings and the things are here and there with lots of pictures and manuscripts and programs. So this would be also a place I would consider to take care about. Especially people who play online games might "forget" their password and leave a game behind and it is useful to formulate a mental command to to let go of the "alter ego" and "the universe of the game" and do a formal ending to the possesion. I think people here have their own ways. Actually I also found after reading a part of this book that I have things I have not touch yet. One are two books about Bagua by Tom Bisio and the other is a set of Bagua Tai Chi and the third is Tai Chi Ruler by Terry Dunn. Arcording my understanding of the books information unfinished and unused stuff or incomplete stuff are draining. I guess I have to read and see the stuff to increase my energy, since it is precious information (which is maybe a trap... that I 'may' need it ) So if one think a bit further it is also ask for more concentration on one theme. Exercising different systems may limit one unconcious. I expirience that if one put a specific amount of effort into whatever it is then I seem to have less for something else. The 100 day Gong as it practise in Zhineng Qigong seem a wise idea. Actually a thing I also ask myself and others. How many things can we remember we have when we close our eyes and 'where' is it? I heard in the past someone said it is best to mediate and practise in a plain room with nothing than the 6 walls having a plain colour - or non colour if one want count white in . The next thing is how much we know the details of the things we have? The thing I understood from reading that book is that the ignoring of something cost energy (especially clutter, things that have to be done) Beside the stuff we have today they have lots of details in form of different fonts. I think be able to remember all the numbers and alphabet on the keyboard you are typing is already difficult. Such Item is an example how complicate things become. This information is back up from some magic book I neither own or know the title but it was about getting an item and observe and then close the eyes and remember as many details as possible, open and seek what was missing and correcting when it was plain wrong. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well I read through chapter 6/22 and have gained such insight until then. Maybe something to add ... I will edit then below the line above. Typing is more time consuming then reading. Update: So I end up reading the whole book yesterday, result in throwing sentimental stuff away, like old video games, cd and mangas and plush and figurines. For videogames I have some word to say. Mostly the theme is "one against all" from the symbolic and for the association it isnt nice to have such theme in life. Also even it is that one start to do things on one own. I read in yesterday something like "being a team isn't just about to protect others getting protected is also a team" quote from a translation in 'Kuroko no Basku'. Shocking was I found even a book I not even remember when I bought it and cds I never listen to. I whole get rid of 40 kilos of stuff in three bags. I found the book until chapter 15 really interesting then it is read like a repetition on 'Simplify My Life'(Good book to organize ones life but has not much of the psychological stuff of space clearing and de-cluttering and its influence on the Feng Shui). So now I look.... Chapter 12 is about Books and this one was hitting me hard. Having Books for substitute for Relationships was said in that chapter. By the idea of to make the book express the momentary development I through some books away. (Imagine someone has in his room 80% free space and still through away 1/2 of the 20%) Well it cut me 4 hour of recompensation sleep from the week, seem to work this decluttering, I had belly ache while throwing the sentimental stuffs away. I have then put all stuff I havent read and listen or experiment with on the same place. I can say its a odd feeling to see such mental distortion when watching it - really pull energy down . Update: Aiya, there where stuff that where so boring I throw them away. Truly one wants a lots things to archieve as it seems to be nice to be able to do that, but well... if one has it and one not use - like drawing Manga. I have a whole set for how to draw Manga, someone who actually draw will inherit them. It was a nice dream.
  20. All This $earching... For What?

Money works because it is a symbol of trust that one owning favor one can exchange for something with relative value. Beside it is as I believe can lead to happiness under condition and can be categorized from my view with the pyramid by Maslow. Which also render us to different defintion what happiness is predominant. It is a seeking in the outside for values to set a standard when happiness is and this makes guru attractive and especially when to their standards is pricey as it people believe the difficult one can get it the less other people get it and that it must be precious that only the few can have. The socialisation make us believe to compete and be victorious in the process. Here one has to find and search for something to happy over and over again by setting a new and more different goal each time. Even the values are set so that people think the "rare" it is and "more time was invest" or "more difficult it was to attain" it, then the more precious it must be as it is "special". The feeling of "exclusivity" and "privilege". The words of "hidden", " secret", "most powerful" are used often. Especially if also given entrance test and high failure rate to challenge. So lets say someone goes monthly to a $2000 workshop will have only less than a handful people and say "Only if you are special you can do it" compared to someone who make those for $200 and say "Everyone can do it" It is the mind fallacy that something cost more and is not much avaible is more precious. If people have a different amount of money to spend as standard then the higher equivalent amount is needed to cause a feeling of risk. It is same when you come from a country which has say a fellow with low wage of 1000UnitA you go then to a country where one exchange it to 1.000.000UnitB and lets say for a meal you pay 2 UnitB while a month wage would be 5000 UnitB. In the moment one has turned into someone rich. While when compared to the own standard in the country one has to have 4000 UnitA to be considered rich. The mind fallacy in the other country that happens often (which because people come from such a country told me) is that they think it would be so easy to get money but forget that the equivalent is also risen and maybe is even worse than in Country B. Say for the living Country A will eat up 90% for home, food, electric, water, travel while Country B only use up 60%. I was said that the people in Country B was so envious and jealous of their familiy member who go to Country A to work and send Money to Country B while these one where working 14 hours and 7 days without vaccancy eating little and owning a room and bed. Country B believe he must live better then them. The good story was the Country B familiy member was go to Country A also and they were apologizing afterwards to the other family member in Country A. This is when people believe they are happy when they have reach the goal, while I find it wise to follow saying that the way is the goal. Happiness can be created by pursueing a higher or new goal over and over again. But Buddha show that the getting rid of an desire also leads to Happiness. When others have a car and one does not have one because one dont "want" one then a spot is gone where competition and fighting can happen. Because one has no car , nobody can steal, scratch it, steal your way, give you fines for driving too fast, anger with parking, making of driver licence etc. So it sounds very well but that doesnt mean one has no car but to reduce the attachment to it and choose common sense. The problem a human is often facing are worries. Worries leads to "anxiety of maybe's" and mostly are about the worth of oneself, the others and the things one can name. Suffering comes by giving the worries to label the things that happens with all of the things that are perceived at that moment. The thought creates the believe, the believe creates the action. The suffering is always there at the same time as the happiness because they are the same coin. It depends on the inside how one perceive the coin. So one comments of lost or win in Zen Story someone said : Is it so? One has the option to react postive or negative or to interfere by thinking first or let go of judgement. It is a different mind set when one one stay in bed and think :"I dont want go out of bed" and "I like to stay as it is comfortable". To have money to live and chase for money are two different thing. So living a modest life will reduce the need to chase for money. Someone who has much desire and want or has a family, house, dog, 3 cars and children, security, pension, and has a low wage job should not wonder that he is suffering lack of money, health and short of privat time. For a standard of life a certain success is needed to maintain. Chinese say : "One loss - one gain" The meditations are part of going back in contact with oneself and nature, to take time for oneself, where else one tend to say "I have no time for s.th" and by this to realize one is part of the world that all are suffering in their own way which creates compassion for oneself and others but also have their own ways to deal with it and so acknowledging their free will. This will stop the filtering as one takes time to be aware and see things that was always been there but never given attention to see the details. On the way to Tao there are many things and these things will be there when they have to ....but it is like a toy... when one is adult then one just remember and one stop play with toys... unless one has a child and use it to share time in their world and have fun with him. So I think.
  21. When the person is K.O one can do, if it is a child one has to ask permission from the parents and if things are unclear one ask the High Self and try to perceive an answer of permission. Else on can offer an healing by sending it in front of the energy field of that person. The deep conciousness is allowed to accept or accept a part by taking what is needed without being invasive in such case.
  22. Gift of the Tao II Neigong Movements

Jox, the system is safe. You can do exercise whatever you want. It is only overwhelming if you use a system that project energy on yourself (I have one, and that is too much since the orginal projection just calculate with personal energy) The other is that when you exercise other techniques which does not have spontaneus movement it will cause spontaneus movement, especially if it is static exercise to regulate the posture and body allignment. At times when one use visualisation one has also to watch out that at times the pictures are changing on its own and maybe showing colours and forms different than you imagine which is also part of Zifa - spontanues. Zifa Gong is part of the Jing Dong Gong system that triggers on its own with long practise and especially of static exercise but can also happen in GoT. The difference to Jing Dong Gong is that Zifa Gong can happen natural without doing nothing and allowing everthing and that time and practise expirience is needed until there is enough energy build to cause spontaneus movement. A different thing is that also cause and triggers Zifa Gong is when one use movement. Such an example is Shaolin Whanam arcording Sifu Wong Kiew Kit. The movement triggers a Chi Flow. Best introduced and teached on the example of Lifting the Sky. What he passes on is a greater Chi Flow which reduce the repetition for movement to cause the Zifa and with his years of increasing practise it become that the student need to exercise less and less. This is different than in Jing Dong Gong as here the great Quantity and Quality of Qi and the inherit energetics that cause the movement and is internal, the GoT comes from the Jing Dong Gong and is helping to manifest certain qualities of the Jing Dong Gong. One can say the movements are in the beginning of JDG chaotic and mostly selfadjusting but with longer practise manifest the movements of the GoT on its own. By using GoT one smooths out and ease the manifestation and so shortening the time they have to appear in JDG. The form goes from physical, energetical, mental result into without intent of Wu Wei. GoT is a manifestation as a set of movements as the ancient found by doing their quit standing practise with Zifa in nature and this resulted in Primordial Tai Chi which later become Tai Chi Chuan in Zhang Lineage. The aspect of GoT is that it is between the Primordial Tai Chi and the Zifa Gong. So the energetics are easier to manifest and turn back to the source of Zifa Gong, as in GoT it happens that one go into a different pattern of Zifa. So the practise of Tai Chi Chuan may takes very long to develop energetics if one has heard of certain lineage approve it and Primordial has more the energetic aspect which I find after perfoming is indeed syncronize with Jing Dong Gong, the thing is Primodial and the Chuan are became linear. Linearity cause stucking by loosing the Zifa aspect (which I seen that two school are try to avoid that- one hidden school I should not name and the other Shaolin Wahnam) by the intention behind the movements and its precision because of the gain of control. In Zifa one not control and ask for symmetric and body alignment (So Tai Chi Chuan Reiki 2.0 isnt so far away. Only just Chuan is 4th generation as Reiki is also modern. The only mistake may come in the 2.0. It is as if one said a dinosaur is an offspring from something of our age. The answer is "What was before Tai Chi Chuan and Reiki?" Actually on can see this a flattery : "Oh you look so young like your nephews!")
  23. The Inner Work

From my perspective in the moment. Without anything one still has oneself. If one ignore to quote teachers and books one has reduce one sort of filter. The filter look to through "the expirience of those one quote". Books and teacher lead to specific labeling of things. It as the well known of decribing and eating an apple. One tend more to see through what is quoted and this also maybe set a filter into others to define the situation one meets. Other details which might been perceived are reduced or ignored. As well it set a sort of authority fallacity into ones judgment. We might trust Doctors more than an alternative layperson who found a simple solution by common sense. Aware people do fall less into this trap and see things more clear. To speak from one own expirience can include the testing of the things in book and by teachers. It is the dimenision of creating an expirience by passed down information. To talk about ones own expirience will give the individual perception of a situation. Still in the inner work one can crystallize ones own wisdom which can be very new and different but one become the sort of quotes.... Eliminating the information one gives lead to having the mind of the person gain the suprise effect which can lead to a deep expirience. If one knows something already and the situation occurs then it might not be expirienced as deeply. The mind and knowledge interferes with the expirience by seeking and comparing at the same time while expiriencing the situation - while one may have a different expirience in a different scale than the book and the teacher. One do have heard of the idea that the world is shaped by ones thought. If one know something one has a suggestion in the subconcious. One know for example the signs in the process and the awaiting of the signs lead to having the signs without the result. One do also know that a joke is not as much funny when one knows the outcome. There is a word for it : Spoiler Secrets are at times needed and been discussed when one has obtained it by own inner work without knowing of the secret.
  24. Makes you offical a Shaman by surviving Lightning. This is as well one gain the power of the Lightning and if one get teached or have skill can use it in addition.
