From the different interpretations of Lao Tze between Master Wang and the scholars, I truly understood the difference between a practitioner and an academic. These scholars studied the written words of Dao, it was a theoretical discussion, it lacked any kind of practical values. Whereas Master Wang study the paths to Dao, it is based on empirical experiences, it had much deeper meaning and value. http://longmenpai.blogspot.com/search/label/Lao%20Tze

Thoughts on a Still Night Before my bed, the moon is shining bright, I think that it is frost upon the ground. I raise my head and look at the bright moon, I lower my head and think of home. Li Bai

Listen friend, Your pursuing Vajrasattva around this forum and trying to pull down everything he says got old a while ago. You have made your point-repeatedly. We know where you are coming from. Once the point has been made, then constantly repeating it is just plain boring. Now, you make some interesting posts and I enjoy your contribution, but pursuing this vendetta is just going to switch people off to reading what you have to offer. With regards to qi, I am sure Vajrasattva has posted before that it does not replace the physical. Hell, even the Mo Pai has its own martial practices. Silat is a plenty effective art, the Cimande based styles very much so. Yes, I've tried some, met some people from the Netherlands who were hard as nails and hit like the proverbial freight train. They trained 'full contact' and I think they also did some competition. Even the Thai boxing people didn't like going up against these people. Silat Sera? Well, the reputation of the de Thouars brothers speaks for itself. Ask around. Best, Mike

Can you help them? Do you know someone else who can help them? Are they willing to be helped? You are not under any obligation to allow someone to drag you down with them. You can choose to let them, but they cannot choose for you. If they can't, or won't, accept help, then yes, walk away. You may well feel bad about their situation, but there is no need for you to feel bad about yourself. Ultimately you need to follow your own heart in this. Best, Mike

Thank you for confirming what I suspected, i.e. to put it politely you are living in a fantasy world with no actual connection with the Mo Pai. No point in furthering this conversation. Best, Mike
