  3. What is more important: To ask comparative questions about Truth and Love or just embody everything, accept everything, be everything... and then lose every concept as meaning... and then come back to see such questions with a deep smile.... So back to questioning So, you just want an answer? Truth or Love? They are the same... for those who know what each one means. if pushed to pick one from a manifest thinking, just LOVE EVERYTHING. Therein is the truth of everything. And the truth will set you free... as somebody once said
  4. Taoist view of Afterlife?

If you go to any Daoist monastery in china, you will get an answer... but is it what you really need ? So you ask the bums instead There is no before and after in a sense... and there is, yet... from our manifest perspective. If you can visit past or future then you would gather the 'great recycling' that is going on. So what is your real question?
  5. Under Trump

As he said... the US sells Billions of arms stuff to Taiwan... and the news wants to go up in arms about a phone call ? Lets at least be fair to both sides of an issue... I think this is the ultimate problem. FWIW: The reason I don't have any reaction to any cabinet selection ? They have not done anything in the position yet to comment on. Folks love to look at the past and I sometimes wonder why a site devoted to cultivation looks at the past so much...
  6. Bernie Sanders

You really struck a cord with me on this... you're replying to Brian, I know. Is the US a huge country and a huge market? Maybe we're still too green and in a buying frenzy compared to most of the established world and markets... so are we the norm or outlier? And it does seem part of the problem is our variation or stratum... aka. Diversity... *cough*... It seems the US left the manufacturing gig for the technology gig... but we now see many around the world getting into the manufacturing gig... I'll use an idea I think you'd use: Gas stations make pennies on gas... so they depend on millions of transactions in a month... equates to *whatever*. But they go for the slow and long game of it. Defense contractors and manufacturers benefit from the governments approval of sales. Obama just approved $20 billion in sales to foreign purchase of Boeing aircraft . How many americans will truly benefit from that ? Are the top echelon to reap more than the average Joe ? I'm also not sure of the solution but it feels politics still looks through rose colored glasses at the $$$ which affects a few.

  11. Lets Talk Obama - Was he a good President?

"will always stand for humans rights around the world" .... seems code word for, ,"I just don't comprehend the rest of the world... and likely should not of been president". Maybe every president might issue those words out of US diplomacy but they just don't really understand the world... JMO.
  12. China long-term visa

Very interesting that as customs officials seek to reduce time out of the US, that china is issuing visas to increase the time out of the US. Here is my take on this conundrum. China is relaxing how foreigners can visit china and the main implication is those married to chinese... ergo they are not foreigners but national citizens. What customs looks at is not US citizens but their own foreign folks, aka: green card holders. Customs has for over the last 10+ years tightened the screws on greencard holders visits aboard. Why ? A green card means you want to "Live" in the US... if you are vising another country (code for your native country), then what was the point of the green card? Here is the dilemma: China issues extended stays for US citizens (foreigners to china) to stay in china but from a practical point of view, many are husbands of chinese citizens. An american citizen married to a chinese national is only going to visit china with their spouse (in most cases).... and so that means their ability to now visit longer goes against what US Customs Officials view as a violation of "out of country" for a green card, for the spouse. It is a really weird circumstance but that they are relaxing the residency rules is a huge change... that was very difficult to get in the past... Many thanks to CT for this link
  13. Football question

I agree with that... ergo... video
  14. "Holding up" perineum

I agree... for others: Try to see the belly as a 3-D sphere... when the belly pushes outward, so does the back and bottom... the bottom is the perineum. For those willing to find the perineum, it flexes like a muscle and you can move it without the belly... if you can do that, then you have control over your perineum... and I found that has been a life long education and benefit.
  15. Football question

Without a video it is hard to comment... but I think in football, anything needs to cross the plane to count; to be inbounds or across the goal line. the ball doesn't matter. In soccer, it is all about the ball
  16. Microcosmic Orbit Questions

I think that the open Yang/Governing Vessel and your closed Yin/Conception Vessel is not uncommon... I would be inclined to supplement other practices to open your front... as OldWolf suggests... even some of us here could maybe do it remotely to you to help open it. I did a quick remote check and can feel your throat/issue. As you like Chia, consider his Inner Smile: http://albanyqigong.com/images/Inner%20Smile%20and%20Six%20Healing%20Sounds%20Practice.pdf Should you focus on the block? There are so many variations on the MCO I read over the years... some say never focus; others say focus for a short time. What you will need to do is ensure you practice it in a way that is beneficial and not harmful, but even that is difficult without a teacher around. As you now have a teacher, I would follow his method to see if it works for you. But if you decide to do your own thing (and none of us here are that way ), here are a few ideas: 1. my method is to just keep the intention of the cycle going... I never stop and focus. If needed, you can visualize the creation of a pearl that you are moving, slowly along the way. 2. I've read a method that said to stop at the major areas (on back and front) for a few seconds and then move on... keep it consistent and don't linger. The mind can cause problems, is my warning. 3. There is a natural cycle that will unfold and others can talk to that method but that may not be what your current teacher would support (?) Tongue position has been discussed here quite a bit in regards to the MCO... I am a fan of 24x7 fire position... never let the tongue down... all day... all night... Keep the circuit connected in everyday life. That being said, what your current teacher says seems ok. Once the Qi flow is past the mouth, the tongue/circuit may be less important. And what I realize in the idea is, your tongue moving downward may be like a person waving a flag to move downward. I would personally experiment with that idea but later you should realize that is just a physical ploy to 'lead Qi'.
  17. Taoist view of Afterlife?

Define soul... and body... You're asking two overlapping questions.
  18. China long-term visa

As Dust mentions the idea of a 'loophole', I thought I'd expand on the above as re-entry, as he says, is a pain if you need to do it several times. This idea really requires you know someone who knows someone in the police and they are willing to issue you a visa. This would invalid your current visa (they stamp it cancelled). The number of entries would be "0" as you're already in china. While they could put re-entries, now you back to having to leave the mainland. I've done this once but can't say if it can be done repeatedly but in theory it could be if you know the right person.
  19. China long-term visa

http://www.mychinavisa.com/china-visa-faq/ Who is eligible for a 10-year visa? All US passport holders can apply for a 10-year multiple entry visa in the following categories: tourist (L), business (M), and family visit (Q2 & S2). US passport holders who apply for a student visa (X) will get 5 years. 10-year visas are not available to non-US citizens.

  21. Feng-English: Discuss The TTC

This may be the subtlety in this chapter... the earth may change things as it follows the 'way of heaven' (ch. 25) and thus natural forces are at work and will cause some change or reaction at times. but Earth doesn't get caught up in a mindset or desire as a part of the change.
  22. Is social media dead?

I'm on FB but you won't find me as my account is basically on lockdown. I only use it to communicate with a handful of people but there is other software that might be more useful if some are in say China... like WeChat is the new norm. I don't really get social media... but then, I don't have cable TV nor a radio in my car... I guess I just avoid being told what to think... but I can't seem to find my wife's volume or mute button
  23. China long-term visa

First thing I'd do is get the 10 year visa. Then depending on your visa type, each 'stay' will be 60, 90, or 120 days. Mine is 120 because my wife is chinese. So in theory, I could stay 120 days before having my 'stay' expire. Regardless of the length of stay, you just want to know how to renew it for a more continuous stay... The most common way is to leave mainland China and then re-enter to trigger the next 'stay duration'. Being in Chen Village would then require trips to, say, Hong Kong... There was a way to do it with the local police but it amounted to getting another visa... now with the 10 year visa, it doesn't make sense. This is the visa company I have used for many years: http://www.mychinavisa.com/china-visa-faq/

  25. Dantian Disappeared?

my remote prognosis is that there is something tightening up on the left side of your body... My advise would be to do a full body scan and relax every inch of your body along the scan.
