In chat I did answer generically given prohibitive requirements in chat. What that means can be many different things. But I did not say that cause-effect you mentioned. BTW: You and a few others asked for prohibitive requirement changes to chat... a fundamental change from the historical usage of chat. That is how this whole thing got started. For now, I'm trying to focus on a poll that sees what folks think regarding the use (requirement) of chat. This will be considered in whether the chat should change from its original use or just go back (with or without some other additions--notice, link). It may even take a second poll to understand more. Software solutions will continue to be explored but we're not able to upgrade yet as it won't support our current PPD and Owner's Permissions... The next version is a huge change in functional permissions. We may not be able to support that in the end (separate issue but fyi). In regards to chat, in the end, Sean will be consulted so he can weight in and be allowed the final decision.

I think this meets the original meaning in the OP... but I don't find that going on at this site by anyone. Ergo, why I think the concept of transmission is not so directly understand at times.

I think this is nicely put and the three (bolded) seem less the issue and a final fourth, 'outcome experienced' (including days later or in dreams) is what I have heard as complaints. In this sense, if you sense something that is your experience and it doesn't mean you necessary 'received' anything; you could of been the one transmitting... I think part of the problem is, the concept of 'transmission' is over used as much as "it depends on the receiver". Transmission is only half the loop and there is Reception. What I think is missed is at least two issues: 1. In a loop, it may not be clear who is transmitting vs receiving to what degrees... Most of the uses of "transmission" I keep reading are not anything about how I have practiced most of my life, except when directly doing Medical Qigong... but even then, there is intention receiving in a sense to purge Qi. 2. If one views it more as energy sharing and exchange, then one will be cognizant that there are always two sides interacting... but doesn't imply another is transmitting to you cuz they initiate something. I get the sense that folks feel if they 'sense' something, then it was transmitted to them. That is actually incorrect in many instances, although there will be instance it is true.

I don't disagree and I closed that thread two weeks ago... seems it touched on some nerves for sure as people continue to talk about it. Yes, worldwide timetables is a bit of a problem which will be considered. It is not about really turning into something else but it has already become something else. The answer to one or two or three not wanting any group energy work and instead wanting 100% chat is not the historical design nor use. If folks want to hang out in chat 6 hours a day for 5x a week, they cannot be catered to any more than a desire to over-run it with energy practices. I wonder how many times this year, nine months in... how many times was group energy work performed? I don't think one could add it up and use all their fingers. The goal is to get back to what was original intention of chat without too much significant change unless folks cannot accept the original and historical use. What I'm hearing is that folks should be able to pop in and out to chat... but not pop in and out to do group energy work? that was never a restriction till you raised it. I have listened to that. I also listened to others complain of energy sensations in chat. Hopefully we get to a more responsible overall approach by all sides.

maybe that is easy for someone to say who doesn't use the chat room, yes? Why not just go back to the way it was since the beginning? Because self-segregation unfolded. The chat room has been used for energy stuff for several years but now there are complaints that folks can't 'chat' without feeling the effect of energy. I think all these discussions are a good wake-up to what energy is and how we are living in its midst. And it may reflect shifts in how TDB could harness newer technology to meet some of these needs.

I'm not aware that it was simple as that. Two issues I know of are: 1. complaints of energy leakage based on sexual practices and that it affected someone after two weeks of visiting chat to feel it repeatedly and affected their dreams. 2. Use of sexual, vulgar slang terms made some uncomfortable

I have been researching the chatroom options and it seems to me the #1 problem is a single chatroom. While there is private chat, it is only 1v1. One small twist is that we'd like to go to the next version but there are major changes in access/permissions and we reported at least one bug which prevent even our current use of PPD for some members. I like the group add-on I shared, if at least in some limited way to ease the pressure on chat. That would need some kind of testing to even know what it can do but that is for the next version... I have thought about the idea mentioned here of scheduling certain times of day for different things. It would likely need to be on the entry notice as a schedule as well to remind folks.

I think this is a reasonable thing so far. It's going in the general direction that I foresee anyways. If the members arrive at some useful 'notices' and 'advice' on energy usage in chat, I would be able to see if it fits with the next step. So far, what I see is that likely Chat will go back to Sean's original feeling/thinking as something energy practitioners use... but we'd have an entry notice with the "I agree" button, and a link for further into that could provide a range of info from advice to shield.

I'm not sure that is the message I'm hearing... to me it is more like: Not all energy is for everyone. IF we remove assigning energy as good vs bad, then we are left with the idea that it is our interaction with energy that senses good or bad. And even the sense may not be completely correct but it is our sense of the interaction. I remember in Medical Qigong that for most of the group, the MCO was something they had never tried and some were scared at the sensations that arose. One has to see if they are doing the practice correctly; if they are sticking through it to a point where it moves past the initial issues that will arise, and importantly for this practice that while you are trying to open blockages you do not actually cause stagnation of energy yourself. I think member Link said well, in such cases like this, attachment and focus may be making some issues worse, so there is an aspect of letting go on some level. And even what I describe above is not for everyone. Not all energy experienced is due to transmission but that may be another point and thread...

While we could look at the actual characters for 'pure' and 'impure' we wouldn't get any closer than just looking at the text; the text provides its own commentary: Let's not get so caught up in "pure" and miss "active" nor so caught up in "impure" and miss "passive". Pure=Active=Heaven & Man Impure=Passive=Earth & Woman I don't think we would worry so much about Earth as impure but use woman and it starts something that it is not. Just think this way, if it is better: Pure=Yang Impure=Yin Active in terms of Energy is like Transmission (male) Passive in terms of Energy is like Reception (female) Together they are a loop... their is a dance going on here... Heaven and Earth are dancing as well...

I think your two words are actually two sides of a coin on some level. Faith can proceed on the strength of belief or the weakness of willingness. The former seems rooted and the latter seems fragile. Yet both reflect the engagement of the concept in its own way. A lack of faith is not the end all because it could be simply void of faith... so there are two sides to this coin. No faith as in a determined decision to not accept something. No faith as in there has not formed the need for it. If there is a lack of judgement or lack of criticism, then this kind of lack of faith is simply dormant. I would argue the first 'no faith' means the gate is close but the second lack of faith means the gate is at least unlocked. IMO, the important thing is to not lock the gate... the more open the gate the better but even being unlocked is better than locked.

The medium is just a connector/path but it could be else where... but a chat room likely amplifies as it draws it all closer together. I have had two experiences with the same he/she and the first was a bit painful and the second seemed more harmful... But I don't splash generalizations of accusations that they are painful or harmful in their practice. That is part of the loop: Something was sent and received; sent back and received; and sent back and received.... One person feels calm, another harm. Both are right to say that is their experience but both are wrong to try and claim anyone else will have that experience. yes indeed... many scenarios...

if we defined a 'group' as two or more engaged in the same or similar transmission... and if intention includes that your directing your energy to another.. than astral sex meets both of the items you're arguing against. I personally think it is a simple top level: 1. Intentional 2. non-intentional Within each would be single vs group... as well as whether it has been informed and accepted... but in either of those cases, to me astral sex goes into Intentional right at the start. I tend to agree with all of this and it is nothing more than I would think Sean original envisioned and thus, there should just be no rules against anyone doing energy work as long as there is informed consent. Which would mean we just go back to the way it has been done since the beginning... So where is the 'problem statement'? (really rhetorical)

I don't want to give the impression that the current decisions are set in stone. I'm happy to loosen some issues but it does have to make sense from several angles (I first wrote angels ) I appreciate the thread and comments.
