  1. Dan Tien Breathing

Belly breathing is not forceful. So whatever you were doing was not natural to the practice most call belly breathing. You should be belly breathing 24x7. If your not, then your chest breathing. You can practice belly breathing to get yourself to be doing it routinely. SHoulders: What exercises or with weights do you do to strengthen the area?
  2. What happens when we die

Death asked Life: "What's it like?". Life responded: "Its to die for". Life asked Death: "What's it like?" Death responded: "I'm dying to find out".
  3. What happens when death dies?

I thought I was beyond duality... beyond life and death... not to just singularity/oneness but Not-oneness. If you talk of process, you're back into the manifest recycle Maybe we get back to Zhuangzi forum LOL!
  4. Have you ever meet Yahweh? I'm always curious at folks who claim to speak for deities but have never been in their presence... Spoiler alert: I've been in his presence. And I am reminded of the words of the book of James: even demons believe in him and tremble... and john said in revelations that he saw him and fell as though dead. BTW: We're not created new... we're recycled goods... most of us.
  5. Mair - 1:4

I tend to not see a conversely in this... but as I mentioned in the previous section, whether the dunce (as in dunce cap too) or sage, their relation to others cannot be measured (or sold)... the outcome is forgotten.
  6. Mair - 1:3

I'm going to agree that 'virgin' is the wrong translation, but as well is naive teenage girl... a [young] [elegant and] slender girl/lady. Corresponds, ultimately, to one who is blind and deaf... Whether the dumb sits in wholeness or the sage... it is oneness.
  7. Mair - 1:2

Yao feels the weight of his rule... and wants to pass off that burden... Yet, Hsu Yu has tasks at hand which seem more an undertaking than ruling...
  8. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

My take, on ZZ, is that every being is as-is. there is no inherent comparison. Life creates many colors and types. What manifests is 10,000 things. From the ever-creative perspective of ZZ: are you 'living' or are you 'life' itself? he is forever creating a riddle...
  9. What happens when death dies?

‘When Death doth close his tender dying eyes’ King Henry VI, Part I - The immediacy of death is well known to parents. And from Galatians: And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature, with all its passions and desires. Neither case above, Shakespeare or the bible, truly understands death dies. Death can only exist [as a concept] because of the concept of life. The only way to escape death is to escape life. When that is done, where did one truly go?
  10. I had the pleasure of seeing IPS4 several months ago and already anticipated some permission transfer issues.. like would the PPDs setup correctly and would we lose our ever-contentious 'owners permissions' The theme is important for the front end (Apech says his is all good)... but there is quite a bit missing from the back-end and so support for add-ins and enhancements which were in place need to be looked at. Just to be clear, from my point of view with a major software re-write which appears to create some serious issues in permissions and add-in support... I just want the theme and original use of PPDs to be working as expected. A shout out to and Daeluin for assistance. No, we're not going to do the reductionist view. It is reasonable but the upgrade reduces us already And no puppeteers are needed. MS and Wilfred are doing the good deed... And if anyone else wants a thankless job of moderation, we are looking for a few... WOMEN !!!
  11. Making the PPD section Pop more

I admit that this sounds good but I don't find any setting for ordered by last post. The problem is we're dealing with Threads and not Posts. Just so you know, when I create a new PPD for someone, I have to manually set that PPD into a location... so they are fixed. I personally don't use "new content" but I know that many do. The best way, IMO is to click at the bottom left, "Mark Community Read", rather frequently... then only the newly posted PPDs will show up
  12. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

Realize that the P'eng you reference is not the bird but a man... or you knew that...
  13. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

And I think part of what interested a [very] few was to maybe look at the chinese... We don't need to get in great debate but your point about the quote that should be been extended makes sense. So here is the section in question... and 'mingling' is a sometimes translated as a tree or turtle but given the very next comparison is a tree of much longer life, something other than a reference to a tree would make sense in the former case. I like the fact that Mair will make a stand and translate his choice as part of the work. In the end, trees do play an important part in ZZ's relatively, shifting perspectivism. Mair

I just feel your approach is very scattered. I don't even get answers to my suggestions or questions. I'd just make a schedule and plan. And have a program for how you do certain practices, and for a reason and a teaching.
  15. Wait till you adjust your back end...
  16. Dan Tien Breathing

Where are you living? Maybe we find someone in your area?
  17. FYI: We're testing the next generation release, called IP4. It is a major re-design in mostly the back-end but which means what the front end can do. We'll update with some comments. Post on

Let's separate out issues of pain vs progression. Shoulder pain is due to a few reasons, from my experience. Over-use can use the tendon or muscle to move out of place; there can be just irritating pain too. this pain must come from swimming or some exercise involving the over exercising of the muscle. Western medicine doesn't deal well with a misplaced tendon or muscle... you are better to self feel and massage the area to see if you can encourage it back. You said, "due to your posture". why would your posture affect your shoulder? While I agree that bad posture can affect many areas, the shoulder seems an odd correspondence. Are you sitting, standing or laying down when you do this belly breathing? The shoulders are irreverent. The stomach is the focus. it is more meditative and the huiyin moves with the stomach. Where does the energy go after going into the LDT: There are two methods... naturally flows or directed flow. I'd suggest stop thinking so much and let natural breathing and natural flow occur.

  20. If one follows their heart, then they will be drawn to comfortable and uncomfortable places. If we can get past that idea, then we can share something with another freely. This is the crux of the issue... not can you heal but what do you feel about yourself as a healer. We want to naturally help others but we need to see our own boundaries of what we can do and offer to others. Personally, I would never see myself as a healer but if someone asked me to look on some fatal ailment, I will decide if it is within instinct to look/help... from there is the rest of the story. I once asked someone if their terminal cancer family member who cannot be helped vs another friend who could be helped... they wanted their family member helped. Terminal cancer. It was past the due date. There was no magic to be bestowed. I declined. I could help them accept the outcome but the wanted a different outcome than I already saw. I could of helped the other friend but they didn't ask for that. There is a strange eternalness which most of our realities have not seen yet. As Batty apparently said, unscripted, in Blade Runner: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. I agree with following your heart. It may be swayed with family or circumstances but the heart also heals... self and others. And it sees others circumstances, like it was a TV show playing out in front of us. I'm getting to a more detached concept as we remove the observer from what is observed, but yet we are there, see what is going on with another. We can't control outcomes. We can offer something in-between. Maybe I should say, we shouldn't try to control outcomes or be too focused on outcomes of our choice. I grew up near Washington DC and to read the newspapers was simply depressing. When I was in the Air Force in Nebraska, life appeared almost untouched and free... then I went back home... to the depressing news... and then moved away from it.. first deep north... and then deep south... In the end, we need to ask ourselves: what are we trying to heal or escape ?

yes, bowel movement. If it is in your chest most of the time, then your not yet naturally doing belly breathing. Watch an infant. Their stomach moves like a machine. our modern life moves our breathing up into our chest. I'm not a meditation type so you'll have to get advice on that from others who found use in it. My main background is in Qigong and then Medical Qigong and now Light practices with deities. There is an old saying that one sinks their mind into the lower dan tian (LDT). I think Spotless said as much, to reside or be one with that. There is likely several benefits, not just developing the LDT but keeping oneself out of the monkey mind aspect... not thinking so much. I had a friend challenge me to do deep belly breathing 7 days non-stop and I would flip my natural breathing to belly breathing. It worked for me. Ever since, I'm back to infant breathing. So there is a goal to sinking your breathing back to where it belongs and can nurture natural energy processes. Your pain... my first thought was a GI issue. At least check it out.... also, touch deeply into your stomach in area, like a deep massage... do you get pain? I once had a pain in my GI area, lower right and could touch it and a colonoscopy found nothing... it later disappeared. who knows. anchor... life line.. close. Ultimately the LDT is connected the the middle (MDT) and upper (UDT)... when it is a unified energy field of all three interconnected, then you understand why the LDT was the reason to start there. For example, the chakra system explains the years of life from bottom to top. Root= years 1-7; each chakra progress through 7 years. We're playing catching up later in life by developing those lower areas. 'Good for someone my age'. So do you do it because you read it or you internally feel the need? Follow feelling. you didn't know you could crack your back till you tried it...so why did you first try belly breathing? Just read it? Regardless, it is an essential first step. Let me ask you: Where does the energy go after it gathers into the LDT? What do you or your body do with that accumulation of energy? This is a more Qigong question and so just seeing if your path is in that direction. Qigong is like a cake... many ingredients mixed together in the right way results in something completely new. This is just my opinion, but the energy [naturally] wants to move... so if you focus on the LDT and breath into the LDT, what is the next step? I feel I am repeating my questions but just want you to realize the bigger picture. Your talking of meditation, standing postures, and belly breathing... all very good for stillness aspects but where is the movement aspect? Energy wants to move
  22. This is an interesting topic for me. And I hope I am forgiven for not reading all the posts I remember my strong pull to heal at an early age and proclaim I wanted to be a doctor... let's pass over the HS scene of abusive tendencies... and get to something rational. That tug came again and I found a taiji master and medical qigong master... two of the latter. but one of them said, "If you want to come to me for healing... then this is the wrong place [physical healing]... the implication was about karmic healing. Since then, I have gone to light practices. The ability to heal has expanded in a sense that I seem to care less about healing but the need of healing seems to now come more. When it comes, I selectively decide what I will be involved in. WHat is my basis of choice? Nothing but a feeling or intuition or sense or agreement. Now, I don't get caught up in the outcome but the process to reside with another... be with their need of healing... even prepare them for the final outcome. Which is harder? 1) The gravity that you should heal 2) The full understanding and acceptance of the issue which necessitates the need for healing which cannot be realized If a healer cannot heal... should they just give up? If so, what was the goal? Healing is maybe the wrong word but the one we use to remedy this local body existence from suffer and disease and death. Healing is not just being confirmed... nor aligned with an idea... healing is an acceptance of the outcome.

What is your posture when doing this breathing and experiencing pain? Besides the lower back, where else? What is your goal or aim of the deep belly breathing? If you are not doing deep belly breathing, does your stomach naturally follow that pattern anyways (inhale=belly expands)? As someone mentioned with the spine, I think that is your attaining a relaxed release going on. For example: Do several slow, deep belly breaths prior to wanting to take a 'dump'... and then sit and continue doing that breathing... what do you get? You mixing lots of interrelated items (standing, celibacy, detox, etc). It is good that you see a more holistic side to all of this but you should follow where you are led, and don't chase. The odd mix in all this is your comments on celibacy; they don't resonant with the rest of your ideas. So you're forcing that idea on some level.
  24. I have visited Shiva several times. I found an 'Elder' group surrounding him, so I referred to them as "the Elders'. The Elder group easily comes forward and lays a hand on visitors. That is my experience. I did not have any past understand of the Hindu gods/goddess. Your post hast made me realize or think that the 'Elders' are the group you describe. I will plan to visit some others you mention in the group.
