Yes... The whole thing was just like a dvr playing back a recorded memory. I decided to try and alter the situation by 'stepping' into it... and I felt a strong shift inside me... and I suddenly felt female

I don't think we control all entities as such. Entities visit. Shit [a Entity visit] happens...

How do you explain your past life visiting you? At first I thought it was a dream... but I was awake... like a streaming consciousness. Even if I fell asleep the same story continued; wake up to same story; sleep to same story. All night and into the morning.

Why is yin/yang expressed at the moment of creation?
dawei replied to Bindi's topic in Daoist Discussion
In the daoist tradition... I have researched this for many years but I find this is one ancient daoist answer, or two: The Han Book of Divination and it's Great Stages which it takes from Liezi... There are six "Great" stages: Great Beginning (太始) - One as singularity in non-existence "This is Numbered One" Great Supreme (太極) - One undifferentiated [energy] but ready to split Great Change (太易) - The split [of energy] occurs. "This is Numbered Two" Great Materialization (太素) - Transformation complete; spirits and life arises. "This is Numbered Three" Great Origin (太初) - Heaven and Earth arise. "This is Numbered Four". Great Antiquity (太古) - Life forms consider this their beginning The Huainanzi: Prior to the Opening of the Universe and pouring down of all life forms This is called the Primal Illumination. Dao Dao awoke out of this boundless void. ONE The boundless void gave rise to the cosmos; The cosmos gave rise to [Primal] Qi. [Primal] Qi spread as a shoreline. TWO That which was clear and bright formed into Heaven; That which was heavy and impure formed into Earth. It is easy for that which is clear and bright to uniformly gather [as the sky] But difficult for the heavy and impure to solidify [as earth and matter]. Therefore Heaven was completed first, and Earth afterwards. The coiling essences of Heaven and Earth formed into Yin Yang. The uniformly gathering essences of Yin Yang gave rise to the four seasons. THREE The disseminating essences of the four seasons created the ten thousand things. -

Yes, useful to contemplate... Where does it come from? The source. When it occurs? is a better observation. Why it occurs? is tantalizing In the end, you never do it yourself... Your path has a way of showing you how to do it yourself

Liver Qi - Stagnant/Sluggish, How To Move It?
dawei replied to alchemystical's topic in General Discussion
I did learn exercises for each area but in the end, it seems to me that there is a lot to be gained from focusing, poking, slapping and smiling. Self diagnosis and inner focus on the body will get you really in tune with your body. The next step would be if you find a really tender area or know you have an energy center issue, to put your hand about 1 inch over it and just feel it. DO you get heat, tingle, itch, prickly, etc... Just get used to feeling an area... Later you can even feel another person's area well enough A simple trick is to remember that sound purges and colors tonify. So if you focus on an area, you can use that idea. So you could use the appropriate sounds with slapping at the same time to breakup stuck energy... then breath through the crown and out the feet, feeling like you are washing away any bad Qi... see it carry outside of the body and out of the house. The tonify with focus, smile, color. Some threads you might find interesting: Liver Qi Stagnation Questions about the Six Healing Sounds Yin/Yang Healing Sounds? -
Does this include mental clarity for you, is that separate or combined ?

Liver Qi - Stagnant/Sluggish, How To Move It?
dawei replied to alchemystical's topic in General Discussion
Just to extend this idea... The Middle Dan Tian houses lots of emotional issues. The slapping technique can be applied to the entire area. IMO, people should slap the liver, spleen, stomach, heart, lungs... AND the rib cage. The rib cage is not talked about much but it grabs emotional energy. Use your finger and poke around the rib cage and see if anything is tender. And the upper chest lung area also does this. Find them. Deal with them. A healthy dose of medicine is to know yourself.. that includes slapping yourself too -
Unless you are incredibly, intuitively plugged into to your subconscious and can let go of seeking/attainment/attachment/goal as part of a natural path unfolding in front of you... then I would say statistically speaking you're going to hurt yourself at some point... I did that Good point... but hoping for achievement/attainment is not the Way (my past Zen reading speaks up) Relative. Some get great results. Outliers in data are as interesting as the norm. Zen said, 'seek nothing to attain nothing'... Your introspection leads to seeking. but I think in a good way as it leads to questions If you could cease all wondering/questioning then your mind would be at ease and ONE with what you experience, you'd get further along... but I suspect we'd get the question later Can we get a button that has a "hug" This is not just sensible and safe... it speaks to the majority of thoughts arising and falling and arising again on their path. Unless you are born with an ability and thereafter can create your own path... there is a long history which probably covers your ideas. Having said all that, I am personally a homemade practice... I have no system, lineage, teacher which someone can look up to say, "ah ha... I see". To got to where I am, I followed a path which brought me to several masters/gurus and even deities/spirits/entities. I now have experienced ideas from everything from qigong, daoist martial, medical qigong, light-energy, indian tantra, etc... I don't subscribe to any one... As Bruce Lee said, "Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own". As a caveat: We are ten thousand arising... some can follow this destined path and some like systems, lineages, masters, etc. Look within and find the answer.

Is it possible to remain in the Non-dual state and function in the world?
dawei replied to dwai's topic in General Discussion
I can't remember which Zen master this involved but a student asked what practices lead to enlightenment which the master replied, "None".. upon which the student asked [paraphrasing], "WTF are we doing them for"? The masters reply was that while in the dualistic world, they provide a good guide to avoid making decisions based on illusion, attachment, and desires. But once one reaches the non-dual state, following practices by rote reading pale in comparison to how the true self can do that naturally and effortlessly.- 208 replies

This is a key step... having no boundaries... this will always hem you in and force you to make a valued choice which is what clouds the voice of Tao from speaking from within
