  1. My interesting email conversation

Or maybe they still can't quite accept the alternative yet... Not sure if I missed it here or in another thread... but indulge me Can you name a specific book, person, movement, teaching which you most identify with.. or represents something very similar to what you would like to do. The main reason I ask is that back when I was attracted to Christianity about 25 years ago, the people who I really caught the bug from were not working within the church and their message was much more powerful.
  2. Personally, I don't think proximity to the time of Jesus matters that much. John and Paul both write more in revelation like manner instead of historical. And the above is one reason why I left 'Christianity'... the ideas they did embrace just seemed to 'miss the mark'. I was personally much more into Apostolic Christianity and Jews for Jesus unique take on understanding the Old Testament in the New Testament.
  3. What is the resurrected body? Jesus said he was the 'light of the world'... and I mentioned else where Paul talks of the mystery... is 'Christ in you'... And yet there is the verse on 'the holy spirit has been with you but now will be IN you". Many verses to refer too but this draws enough of a picture to me that Jesus is the manifestation of light (for the world) which allows the HS to reside within... for Light to reside within the manifest world of beings. His ascension is a metaphor for leaving the worldly/darkness (old wine skins) for the spiritual/light (new wine skins)... This link shows: http://cejournal.org/GRD/DeathandResurrection.htm
  4. I agree and the circumstance is not always clear too Paul explained there was a mystery that the forefathers did not understand... but was now revealed... this darkness was made light... and Paul said that mystery was "Christ in you". John said "In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. " So what does it take to comprehend it?
  5. IMO, this is generally in the correct direction... although you have not spelled out what is sin but I agree it becomes a focused stumbling block... so it might be better to define 'father' and 'god'.
  6. The Father and Son of Taoist Philosophy

I was talking to someone the other day about why I don't particularly like focusing on 'suffering'... it doesn't give one an idea of the source of it. IMO, it is boundaries.
  7. Hello

    Welcome back
  8. The homeland of nothing whatsoever

Yes, but folks seek a state which sometimes is the next foot forward
  9. What Results Do People Here Have From Training?

I still enjoy getting carded for alcohol... Yesterday, the lady laughed so much after she looked... and said... I would never of guessed...
  10. There is no Duality

You have great clarity to duality... stay with that. This is the manifest world. You're seeking some disorientation beyond the manifest... to make sense of the manifest... The manifest is-what-it-is... WYSIWYG... this this this first computer truism.
  11. There is no Duality

Exactly our imagination... and on the World Wide Web somewhere on a server
  12. There is no Duality

    A new beginning....
  13. There is no Duality

Your still chasing along the circle... don't just arrive at the circle's end... be the circle... and then realize the circle is just pathway...
  14. There is no Duality

Nice We perceive what comes in... all mind... The question is: Is there something beyond mind? Can mind even know this? IMO... I think this the key.... we focus so much on 'mind'... and lose a focus on what is beyond mind... If we lose the concept of mind... what remains? Mind remains... and yet, what appears? Beyond mind. How?
  15. There is no Duality

Yes... in this manifest world... duality rules our minds. The center? It is just the center of duality. A local smile on a greater understanding. We are aware... locally... within our mind environment... although it may be expanded.
  16. There is no Duality

IMO... mind is a just a gateway... you get filtered something in this dimension. The subconscious has a deeper picture... where there is no misery
  17. The Father and Son of Taoist Philosophy

This thread is really great and I only wish I saw it more frequently... Carry on !
  18. There is no Duality

Yin is nothing; Yang is nothing. When you add that together.... I will guess you get "two nothings" ? There is a reason they teach math at such a young age... they just want kids to 'add it up' in life...
  19. There is no Duality

Says who... The mind? Sometimes the mind talks too much.
  20. The homeland of nothing whatsoever

When you walk into 7-11 to buy a soda... and the cashier says "a dollar twenty-five"... Are you in the womb not concerned about self/other distinctions? Or are you in this world not concerned about self/other distinctions?
  21. My theory on the 11:11 phenomenon

11:11... this is "Singles Day" in china... when it was 11/11/11 they flocked to get married. means something like, forever together or as one. See if that meaning has some meaning to you
  22. There is no Duality

what is the mind's source? duality or non-duality?
  23. What Results Do People Here Have From Training?

I was telling another member here, who I will bow to, my recent experience and was told in confirmation in reply: ... a brilliant blue light, the size of a tiny seed, that appears to the meditator whose energy has been awakened. The Blue Pearl is the subtle abode of the inner Self. - Swami Muktananda, Does Death Really Exist?, p. 36 This is only a small nugget... visiting other dimensions and being visited by other beings seems more telling. We're not alone
  24. There is no Duality

True... in our manifest world... everything is duality... what gets interesting is whether there are different patterns in different dimensional worlds.
