  1. facebook friends

I joined FB about 6(?) years ago and then immediately never used it...many years later did a group for a very short time and went back to never using it. I constantly get notices to this day from random people. Double a penny in 30 days and you get 5 million... such is the interconnection of the WWW...
  2. Upper Dantian 101, please . . .

As Dao is supposedly the summation of That-Not... One could say: The Dao: That Dao; Not Dao. As maybe Marblehead has rhetorically asked, is anything 'Not Dao'? We want to answer No to suggest its singularity... but that is still keeping with duality. Door Open; Door Close; ... still a Door... What does this have to do with the UDT? I'll say it another way: Window Open... Window Closed... still a Window..
  3. And bam! Done If you want sub-forum areas, just post those here as well
  4. Title: Why don't 'high level' beings post on internet forums? My question: Why don't 'high level' beings post on internet forums?
  5. True... when Sean consolidated a few sub-forums, this one got the brunt of all those pinned posts. I almost thought of a Sub-forum to hold only the tech pinned posts... or maybe a notable section which is read-only for forum stuff. I created another sub for the majority of the pinned topics... Better???
  6. This idea was shot down in the past. The owner doesn't really like to add sub-forums without strong reason. If we setup one sub-forum, we're lucky enough.
  7. I once thought something under Healing Circle would be interesting...
  8. Upper Dantian 101, please . . .

Yes, a bit like a shell game.... Take three shells and put man between heaven and earth. or like a plant: Roots develop; a stem grows; and then suddenly it blossoms...
  9. ferocity of Tao

If Dao is all things then why concern ourselves with neat descriptions of gentle, calm, balanced, ferocity. Generally Dao is described as Wu Wei or Zi Ran; these cover the spectrum of gentle><ferocity. So we can get in the weeds of distinctive names or aim for the more singular representative descriptions which LZ offers. While they are also just words they seek to cover all cases. If something is balanced, then there is no change occurring... but it was said that Dao is constant change... ergo, Dao cannot be balance. I personally don't think Dao contains a concern for balance or is about balance. It is suchness or Isness, which brings us back to Zi Ran. It effortlessly (Wu Wei) allows anything to occur; each thing according to its nature. That is going to bring lots of conflict on some level. The universe was produced and a swirling mass for billions of years... now that we find ourselves here, we see life now like a slow moving frame by frame... when we look at a frame and then the next one, they look the same, unchanging... yet run it at Dao speed and it is never static, never in a pure balance. We think a car engine runs 'smoothly' as if it was in a constant balance, yet if you look at the combustion necessary, you really it requires constant change at the right time (spark) to keep things appearing smooth. A pleasant sunrise or an earthquake are the same from the perspective of Dao. Both processes occur completely naturally (back to Zi Ran) and effortlessly (back to Wu Wei). One never changes.... yet is ever-changing... Where is Rene to say, 'both/and'... I resolve this differently but that was another thread...
  10. Waking up, is an experiential attainment.

I never really did like that word... but it seems fitting that we got here So I'll not ask six times about waking up.. but ask another question (or two): What is sleep? and are we ever truly asleep?
  11. Waking up, is an experiential attainment.

So what are you waking up to?
  12. Waking up, is an experiential attainment.

what are you waking up to?
  13. The Dream of the Butterfly

I'm not sure I follow... Is LZ material or immaterial here? And how do you infer the meaning?
  14. Ideas ARE Immortality

My only thought is: Ideas are Mortal. The question may be whether ideas lead to immortality...
  15. Do you know the eye pressure points? Pressure incrementally along the brow as one test for fleshy or pain... But there are specific points to test.

  17. Petition to bring back Deci Belle

Banned members are not really 'invited' back. I have made the bans less permanent in most cases to allow the member to request a return after a year, if they want. That was because it became clear that long suspensions meant little to some. Staff will entertain a request from a banned member and evaluate the member's plan to not fall into the problems.
  18. The meaning of Tao?

On some level, this is just a fixation on language... language is limiting in regards to even physical explanations so I am not sure why language is a litmus test in any sense. IF LZ and ZZ talked of Dao, I think we can. I would of quoted more but it takes up too much space... but I do *like* your explanation... I think one has to have spirit in the equation as it is all spirit (to me). Energy=Qi=Light=Spirit. We get local interpretations and we can experience/sense something beyond the local aspect; That is the realm of light and Spirit. I don't really disagree as we have local mind interpretations... but the output is language... I would focus on the input... and if it is only physical then it will be only philosophical output in most cases. You're usage of 'see' may be limited by what your mind thinks it can think and see... Can you see the past or future? Can you see the spirit realm? Seeing is perceiving and beyond the physical aspect is beyond humanness. Tao is simply your essence or interpreted in physical terms as an essential function of arising and returning. As long as there is a difference or separation, then it is the idea of Tao as essence and function and us as manifestation. When there is no longer a separation then there is the Zen moment of 'mountains are mountains; mountains are not mountains'... but this is really being stuck in an understanding of singularity and not yet within the last phase where once again 'mountains are mountains'. One tries to explain the other side of the mountain to their clan... and words elude them as they have no real experience of it... once they travel to that other side, they bask in the experience of the other side... but nobody in their clan hears them... their words are only in their own mind/experience... once one travels back to the clan, then they can attempt to use the limits of language to explain something outside of what previously their language lacked. The mind has the picture and experience but the words are lacking. Take that example to the other side of the physical world... to realms unknown...
  19. It is not found... it is obtained/contained. See LZ 39 and ZZ speaking of those who 'obtained/contained the Dao'...
  20. The meaning of Tao?

This is proof that Marblehead is closest to Tao... as he appears to have not made any differentiation between 'like' and 'thank you'.. he is freely clicking away and away... it is all 'One' to him
  21. The meaning of Tao?

If the translation is wrong about defining then this isn't the defining Tao...
  22. The name of the site

I see the opposite... the larger city gets broken down into towns and folks can connect more. Where better than to rest in the garden with others or go into the privacy of the haven. Without some sub-division there would be a singular forum area to post and it would be like everyone is lost at sea. But I see the complication when we're talking about the permissions issue... I think folks who use the areas will come to understand it. Those who stand at the fence looking in will see something different... and those who keep posting in areas they like don't even feel any change.
  23. Telepathy

It DOES copy the text as it exists at that moment...
  24. Spirits knocking on doors

Just a few examples... I've had what I would call a few 'visits'. Usually it is like someone has grabbed my head and stuck a hot poker into my crown and my head goes immediately flush. After one episode my wife asked me what was wrong, seeing my face... I had some really strange happenings with my smoke detector when appealing to the deities... it seems the periodic beep was possibly annoying and it always stopped during the exchanges... The simple solution was to just change the batteries... but I kept wondering why the noise stopped in that particular room during this event. One night, I was jolted awake and felt rather paralyzed by an energetic current of voltage-like sensation throughout my body... it lasted two hours. When it was done, I was dripping wet... needless to say, my wife also woke up dripping in sweat and asking me if we needed to open the windows
  25. The meaning of Tao?

Dao is the Way of all things; The Way that is in everything. De is Dao in all things; in everything. Yes, nice link. Some things are constrained by language and then there is simply thought, experience and transmissions. All this is the matrix of the physical-energy-spirit matrix. Dao is the grid. It gets interesting when you realize your on one side of the grid and your just jump to another layered, realm, grid... and transmit with a deity... Where/what is Dao at that point?
