  1. Neidan vs Qigong

I think it points to the difference in Taiyi and Taizhe. Taiyi - primal illumination (big bang); original light and fire... Pure Unity Taizhe - creates life TO me, the latter is Yuan Shen, Yuan, Qi, Yuan Jing in motion... creating... but already split up. IMO, and this is probably unfair, I think Taizhe was meant to represent Taiyi (of historical lore) but it was misrepresented.
  2. Neidan vs Qigong

I saw this connection too... but they used different characters: Taiyi (太一)vs Taizhe (太乙). I have pressed the idea that Taiyi is even pre-Dao... I don't get the sense that Taizhe is pre-Dao but post-Dao (or concurrent). I've not seen Taizhe used in other texts so I would need to explore it more. Dao is an 'arising' concept... it arises In this cycle of creation and consciousness.
  3. Neidan vs Qigong

This is what gets threads towards the PIT... To be fair... is Mo Pai on the false list? ANd if so... Do you agree? If yes or now, explain why (is Mo Pai not neidan, etc)
  4. Neidan vs Qigong

    FYI: Rainbowvein is a lady
  5. Neidan vs Qigong

I've got no idea about what is golden lotus practices... but it seems like an interesting connection if you could explain it... but probably a new thread.
  6. Neidan vs Qigong

The Chinese characters for Golden Flower (Jinhua 金华) hide the word light (光) in it. The lower part of the character for Gold (金) and the upper part for the character Flower (华) make up the character for Light (光) Link: http://thesecretofthegoldenflower.com/hide.html
  7. Neidan vs Qigong

That may be... and why I don't like to pander to neidan terminology. My usage background is in Medical Qigong... and transmission/reception of divine light energy. I gave my usage and experience and did a bad job of trying to tie it to neidan seeking results.
  8. Neidan vs Qigong

I use "YUAN" are pre-heaven... Original, before heaven/earth formed; before forms. I use True Ying and True Yang as simply ONLY YIN and ONLY YANG. Forget, Yi Jing; forget, neidan; forget TCM... this is my usage

  10. Neidan vs Qigong

Two premises I take in regards to this stuff: 1. It's all spirit... whatever we make of any part in the manifest, it originated in spirit 2. The physical/manifest world of forms requires Yin and Yang. There is neither pure Yin nor pure Yang; that does not materially exist in a form. I personally don't like to think of any pre-heaven stuff (Shen, Qi, Jing) as broken down to Yin vs Yang; This only ocurs in Post-Heaven manifestations or rooting. JMO. I do see Yuan Shen as transforming to Yuan Qi and that in turn to Yuan Jing... all three get rooted in the fetus. How can these exist in the body? They exist in Yin/Yang form and their energies are split in various ways to balance with everything else. In restoring Yuan Shen, we are letting that which is deeply rooted in us to connect backwards to the primordial origin... this manifests (this communication appears) as light to us but it cannot contain the full power of the primordial as the body is not equipped to handle beyond its duality limits and what Jing as 'form' is about; if Pure Yin or Pure Yang are approached too much, the body dies. There are a lot of views on Hun and Po and the numbering of spirits to assign. Above I mentioned the progression from spirit to form as: Yuan Shen > Yuan Qi > Yuan Jing. So Jing is the most base, most yin and together with Qi creates our being. Spirit is rooted too... Spirit of the Body: Hun><Qi><Yang><Shen><Returns to spirit of heaven Po><Jing><Yin><Ling><Returns to spirit of earth Even the Yi Jing said: "What is Dao? One Yin and One Yang"... but this leads to lots of duality concepts, but Dao is the process of what arises, and the manifest world requires Yin and Yang. RE: Only Qi and Shen: I would only loosely agree in that Jing is the most base, most earthly and lowest of the formless and yet the truest form of Qi and Shen... so our bodies are naturally and constantly using and transforming Jing. One cannot work with Qi without the foundation of Jing inherently there. If one thinks of their own respiratory and muscular systems... as you exercise, your [Jing] muscles support you frame and work hard... and your stamina increases dramatically and your exchange of air/energy (Qi) reaches higher and higher levels.
  11. Neidan vs Qigong

I don't agree with this but I'll have to think about why later... but part of it has to do with Hun / Po are Yang / Yin associations ; Yuan Shen is above such distinction...
  12. But your talking about it... so your aware of it... this suggest we can experience it... seems empirical Now you talk of it as something has made up as 'unaware of'... So now I take it that you have no personal experience yet with reaching the subconscious... and therefore, it does not exist for everyone else too
  13. Why Daoism over Buddhism

Many foot paths up to the mountain summit...
  14. Working with Destiny

If we take fate as determinism... then TT means to 'reject determinism'.... which would be an allowable ZZ idea as no idea should be given a higher idea. Meaning: An invocation to return or reject should both be accepted (and rejected). In the end analysis... if we do this... IMO... we're only left with Fate... So it is almost a none issue
  15. Why Daoism over Buddhism

Laozi 22: "Embrace the One". For those who like the biblical equivalent... I would be remiss if I did not point out that the older LZ text differs: Received version: The Sage Embraces the One to become the model to the world. (this is not well understood but ONE here is Tai Yi and model is the cosmograph as the center of the universe) MWD version: The Sage Holds to the One to become Shepherd to the world.
  16. Inner heart or above the head...

"As above, so below". I am finding it is two sides of the same coin; just one side has been the focus most of the time.
  17. Flowing Hands Interview Completed

I did some research on Mount Mao based on the interview. It seems very hard to find truly ancient origins for it. I'll send you some info I found and how we can maybe discuss it.
  18. The Center has no Location

Speaking of the Queen... can you say more about her, here or in another thread? I still have habits but my wings have seen her... in retrospect: that may of been the wings of another I was flying on...
  19. Why Daoism over Buddhism

IMO, it is similar to buying a car... the reasons for driving a particular car could be a novel describing reasons and our every past event leading up to it and thus weaving a web which predicts it... but in the end: It is the car we drive because it is the car we drive... and as all cars go: They simply get us to places we want to go. Next car (next life)... what are you or I going to drive?

re: no-mind Isn't this just sameness as One [universal] Mind? Meaning, I take No-mind to mean No [separate, individual] Mind (?)
  21. To mention another thread... Working with Destiny... Wuwei is working with destiny To act outside of Wuwei is to place oneself into the burdensom position of not being able to accept Destiny...
  22. Working with Destiny

Ok.. cleaned up Zhuangzi: - Fa (return) Ming (destiny) 聖人達綢繆,周盡一體矣,而不知其然,性也。復命搖作而以天為師,人則從而命之也。憂乎知而所行恆無幾時,其有止也若之何? Tr. Burton The sage penetrates bafflement and complication, rounding all into a single body, yet he does not know why - it is his inborn nature. He returns to fate and acts accordingly, using Heaven as his teacher, and men follow after, pinning labels on him. But if he worried about how much he knew and his actions were never constant for so much as a year or a season 4 then how could he ever find a stopping place? Tr. Legge The sage comprehends the connexions between himself and others, and how they all go to constitute him of one body with them, and he does not know how it is so - he naturally does so. In fulfilling his constitution, as acted on and acting, he (simply) follows the direction of Heaven; and it is in consequence of this that men style him (a sage). If he were troubled about (the insufficiency of) his knowledge, what he did would always be but small, and sometimes would be arrested altogether - how would he in this case be (the sage)?

  24. Primordial Spirit: Heart or Head?

Ling (Spirit) is considered Yin relative to Shen (Spirit). I mentioned before the origin of the character and the rain being called forth is Yin in nature. But what I failed to note was that in LING, there are TWO shamans/Wu calling down the rain
