I think it is useful but not everyone is ready for it on two levels: 1. Energy related - Their level of ability to establish and feel the connection may vary. When I look back on my Medical Qigong period, lots of folks were able to do it. But I see at the level I now sometimes engage, with Light energy, it is a narrower or sub-set level that fewer can establish. 2. Physical related - Whether one can feel the connection or not, interact occurs (as others are saying). Stuff gets broken up and released emotionally as well. There is a kind of refining period, if it is done often enough. Some folks have a more difficult time with this than with whether they are feeling the connection they feel the effects/outcome of the connection. This means to me that folks should be careful in the sense of the level of interaction they are willing to get exposed to. Qigong level will be more accessible due to the more basic level of energy; Light energy is very refined and hits and moves on more so. Jonesboy mentioned something that is true; one can pickup the issues from another. If someone else in the group has a particular issue, others who have that same issue can pickup on it from the other person. As stuff moves off of us, it is really a collective 'us' when the group is connected. So it can get passed around a bit. JMO.

He explained the month and day but not the year... so this might be posted every year on this day.

Can you define happiness ? Will it become very personal or individual ? Can you define pain ? Is that the inability to gain happiness? If we just remove both definitions from our mind, are we still living? It seems to me, that we build up 'reasons' that exist, yet we exist prior to those reasons. you seem to be asking: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Problem_of_why_there_is_anything_at_all What to live for ? Seems back to the point of, why are we even alive rather than not.. As an alternative: Why does the grass grow, flowers bloom, fish swim... and people breath and wake up each day.... Oh shit... this thread was about detachments... or attachments... I've lost the thought on it... I think this is really about what we value and love... and hold dear to ourselves.... Shady... I hold you dear but I don't wake up for you.

I'm not sure many would watch a 100 minute video on Trump either... I prefer something no longer than 15 minutes myself but 3-5 is what I would tend to listen to regarding anyone.

Dantiens and Chakras - the same or different?
dawei replied to amoyaan's topic in General Discussion
That's Jerry Allan Johnson (JAJ) ... his Medical Qigong program that I was in, before. it is useful but it is local mind/body stuff. Even once they are felt as connected, then what is the next connection... many transformations to come... -
Is it true that focusing on developing your middle dantian (heart), also develops and refines the upper and lower dantians too?

I think I answered that, as you quoted me. -
Dantiens and Chakras - the same or different?

I did a practice where one passes energy between the solar plexus, heart and lungs. UP and DOWN. You isolate two to non-movement and then move one with energy; then pass it to the next stop. I think you will find the solar plexus. If you want, pass it downward to the navel... is that the solar plexus ? -

yes, processor... seems inherent if they are processed there but good to be explicit on it. sure, the heart is more than physical, as is our entire body, or mind... If this is a purely physical discussion then I'll agree... when we get past that, then I can likely talk more. -
No more nonsense. Looking for a concise, simple, step-by-step, guide to open your chakras and cleanse the meridians

Chakras don't open by rules or steps... They open by an operative word... being 'open'. Try this: 1. Drop all judgments and believes about steps, needs, accomplishments, getting it done, expectations. 2. Go back to #1 -
Long ears has something to say ....

I tried to show that in off-grid and it didn't go over well... standards vs no standards ... outwardly vs inwardly... Judging or not isn't the issue... because that presupposes it was spoken but judgement is from the heart and then spills over to speech. Freeing oneself from the restraints of knowledge is to 'know' what judgement means.

No need for emotional responses or innuendo... if the heart is in the right place, no need for further exposition. And 'right place' is not a physical nor emotional place... I'm still on a different plane of speaking beyond the physical. -
Better is, no word at all. But I get we are talking and need a word maybe, there is 'nothing'... or 'no-thing'... yet there must be an observer to that no-thing. It is a unified, connected, space void of nothing, no-thing. To reside with no-thing in a unified, connected space void of no-thing... is no-thing.

ONE is still a differentiation

your heart is always rooted in a place. where it is rooted, the heart knows. There is no need for ethics of right or wrong. -
Dantiens and Chakras - the same or different?

From my past practice and experience, I'd say: LDT: 1-2 MDT: 3-4 UDT: 5-7 Chakra 3 is the Yellow Court, where unprocessed emotions reside.... the heart, chakra 4, is processed emotions. ergo, the MDT pair. -
please continue... I think the opening words say it all... it is because [insert your name] cling to [insert what you cling to] it is way past just the mind or emotion... clinging may also be more reactionary need. There is no self-substance, is the Way.

yes... but on a more primordial level, ''bottom' doesn't necessarily equate to roots, IMO. It would seem it matters more, where the heart is rooted. JMO. -

I've read this thread many times and wondered how binary questions can arise in regards to a destiny path. Either you have the destiny to pursue it and get there or you do not. No amount of practice and threads will force what destiny has not decided... that being said, I'm ready to comment. In general, and typical, the energy work regime is to do, bottom-up. In such cases, start with a reliable MCO (microcosmic orbit) and see where it goes. I've meet plenty of folks who have side-skipped that lower development (cuz it is naturally developed) and worked with the heart.... In Qigong and Medical Qigong, the heart is the General, calling the troops movements. But that alone still has to be understood within some context. The point is: one is where they are; what they feel; what they can develop.... then, what they hope to develop. Without a destined feeling about it, one may be treading water. when you arrive at the shore, then you can ask and try something. Maybe ask yourself: Are you at sea (treading water) or shore (on two feet) ? -
if its all a journey, then every step is farewell... and hello... and goodbye... and hello, etc... endless cycle of both/and. Where is Rene when I need her

That's as honest and real as it gets That's why you need to be here, among the jerks and freaks... And I love this line: First point is true enlightenment itself... the rest is...

I found it strikingly odd that they claimed they practice the alarm thingy every day.. really... like you're going to forget which button to push... like exactly what happened anyways? Didn't really add up to me but maybe they do run the drill everyday... but now they said would not...

Realize the long term view is that there is really no difference between Jing, Qi, Sheng, except as phase changes (think five elements) or think four seasons. For the latter, overall, it is singular as what we call, weather. You were a child, then a teenager, then an adult, then a elderly adult... just different words to describe the same unfolding physical body. If you were to engage in weight training or something like Tai Ji or Qigong... you will use labels like beginner to intermediate to advanced. These are just words to describe the journey. When you hold the left side of a rope and then pull it until you hold the right side of the rope... you don't change your characterization of this as a rope. you just change the words in terms of the direction... ergo... words describe direction or time phases. Realize, we use words to fit our understanding and our parameters of definitions to describe things... it is not actually the true meaning of the thing at times. Now, in terms of protein... just think anything you consume... which may include protein, carbs and fats.. the body only absorbs so much.. and will get rid of what it can't absorb. So, consider what is most worked by protein... spleen and liver. your articles doesn't mention protein and kidney. See here for TCM thoughts on protein diets: http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/mpacms/at/article.php?id=32817 I might ask, why pursue a protein diet... that needs explanation for comment. What is your blood type and body type?

ok... I have an opinion ! There is no A or B.. even forget about C and D... forget I told you to forget.... but if you read on... forget that I told you to forget. 3Bob lays out the logical reasoning that there is no separation... while he mentioned a guru takes one to a true essence, I might agree this is pre-no-separation understanding... once into 'no-separation' (some might call non-dual), there is no guru... no true essence.. except what words make of them. It is like sleeping when injured; you feel no pain when asleep. When you awake, you feel pain. Let me ask: When you wake up to no-separation, what do you find? Another question: when awake to the realization to no-separation, what do you do? I think this thread was about merge stuff... if there is not separation, then we are all, always merged... what is the issue ?
