These are really just all subsets/levels of energy that we tend to treat like there is some linear arising because we tend to progress in a linear fashion.

Foods that are good for clearing the digestive system
dawei replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
Use Epsom salt to clear the digestive area... -
I will join you... so three share one.... the one disappears into the three... so the three can claim to contain that one beer....once we flush it later.... there is no-One...

The cup's content's disappears... into a body... and the body flushes it away. So what is the body? The One Cup remains in the cabinet. Enjoy that cup remaining as One.

sure.. enjoy duality... have a cup of joe.... the concept of One is still duality
-
that is just mindspeak... duality. to try to explain non-duality (one Coin). Forget the two sides... then forget the coin holding two sides. It is not the release of a preference for either side, it is that neither side is even there... if neither side is even there, is there even One ?

What is the healthiest way to sleep, and for how long?
dawei replied to Phoenix3's topic in Healthy Bums
IMO, a hard surface encourages the back to relax into a straight position... as the surface is... well... STRAIGHT. It tends to give chinese the flat butt look. If I go to sleeping on my back, I'll sometimes put a pillow under the knees to flatten the lower back area. Everyone should explore what helps. -
Looks like there can be a few reasons for this. I was able to definitely determine one is causing it. If the thread has any insecure links, then the 'lock' will not show up. Now, it doesn't have to be a link that takes you somewhere, it can be a link to an image. I deleted the image in question and the lock showed up on that thread. Moral of the story: Only click on a link that has a https if you concerned about whether to click or not.

What is the healthiest way to sleep, and for how long?
dawei replied to Phoenix3's topic in Healthy Bums
I'd drop books and internet on this... you need to sleep each night and can test it for yourself. That is my main point. Find some feeling. For myself, as my chakras are somewhat realized, if I lay on my left side, my heart feels the pressure. The right side resides better. I can't sleep on my back so easy due to a back problem. I personally use 3 pillows: for head, shoulder/arm, and between legs to ease hip rotation. I prefer, over all of this to just hug my wife because within 2 seconds, I begin to internally melt (every muscle relaxes). When I said to empty space with energy, I mean you are moving / breathing / releasing energy downward through the entire body. If you want to try a standing up version, imagine oil pouring down your crown... it will point over all four sides... and yet, we also imagine the internal energy moving downward with the oil flowing over the outside of the body... move it down from crown to sole, and then outside of the body without any ending (ie: till you fall asleep). -
What is the healthiest way to sleep, and for how long?

1. Don't sleep on your heart (left side sleeping) 2. Figure out if sleeping on your back is good or not... may depend on bed and comfort issues 3. If you are sleeping with another by your side, how often do you fall asleep with them in your arms? 4. Count backwards from 100. 100 is your head/crown... as you count downward, see/feel energy move downward and empty each space just left to the lower area. Without an idea of your lifestyle or obsessions, this is what I would suggest. -
That is more than a mouth full I agree that 'One' is still dualistic.

I rarely post in this area as I have no understanding of Hindu Discussion... but this topic is of interest. I would agree that the dropping of dualistic identification is where there is no longer subject vs object, no Yin vs Yang, etc., a kind of negative of Both/And, here it is Neither/Nor... In Daoism, this is closest shown in Zhuangzi. Jeff posed a slightly different idea (not speaking for him but my read), it is where subject = object, Yin = Yang, Form = Emptiness... a complimentary pair that resolves to One [whole]. I think in Daoism, Laozi talks of this: When beauty arises, so does ugly... the two sides are relative but LZ deftly shows this is but a spectrum of One. I don't think the issue is, which view is correct as I see them both as correct on some level... back to a Form view = an Emptiness View. But I would add that if we engage in such reductionist theory, then if we go to Not-Two, it is logical to go to Not-One. So if we're going to define talk of Form (Two) and then mention non-dual (not-Two), but then bring in Emptiness... that is then not-One to me. Is Dao, One ? Earlier Jeff said it comes from Dao... so Dao is not-One. The topic was non-dual but maybe non-dual is just a representation for some more reductionist idea.

Let's please keep videos close to the topic. Two were hidden. And it would be better to have some comment along with it, if possible.

Good point... I should not state it like a fact till there is evidence of it... ok, how is this... some media outlets are reporting he was banned from a mall but nobody has provided evidence of it yet.

Personal Practice Discussion Thread Request

Staff hears you loud and clear... I was testing V4 a year before we upgraded and I was aghast at how they turned the permissions, security, ACP upside down with no regard to some historically simple functionality. For example: 1. Permissions we have been using for years no longer work... they claim that it was removed intentionally but won't really say why. We did submit 2 bugs but I had to accept there was only 1 bug as 1 was 'intentional'. 2. There is no longer a group called validating or banning... I guess they felt these are not what they wanted to fall under the definition of 'members'. 3. Editor stuff as you found. 4. ACP lost so much functionality, its not even worth trying to explain. Good to share and ask questions on the new version as it is frustrating to try and figure out where some functionality went. BTW: Button to reveal formatting code... intentionally removed -
I tend to not take a position early on as who knows the truth... so I hear you. But the hearsay got stronger by the reporting that he was once banned from a mall for hitting on teenagers and several mall workers confirmed the appearance of that. Getting a bit creepy if not predatory sounding on some level. Maybe he would give a different story or spin and maybe should be trying the clear the air a little bit more. Not sure just completely ignoring it is best. Although I agree with the problematic timing of all this, the apparently sketchy lawyer who is holding on the yearbook is known for such political attacks. If I was trying to press the issue, I'd leave behind the yearbook as it has questions while the mall issue seems to be on to something.

It doesn't have to be illegal for public scrutiny to question the circumstances and the voters will ultimately decide. But the overall pattern and stories that continue to come in are disturbing given he seems to have targeted teens. Coupled with his having been removed from the bench twice, I am not sure I think he is the best fit for the job.

With all the talk of what Jesus meant by 'I AM'... Has anyone thought through how to differentiate Jesus vs Yahweh vs The Father ?
-
I do realize that... but I can't see 10 separate topics on the same kind of accusations. I'm sure folks will continue to talk about Moore as the signature issue seems to give pause. why hasn't even one of them just said, "I'll take a lie detector test"...
-
Yes (many times) and Yes (very effective).

If folks want to talk about the political or entertainment industry and sexual accusations... whatever. I now see porn stars accusing other porn stars of rape... it is turning surreal.

if you truly believe you have immediate need for Kidney support, I recommend this: http://www.chinesenaturalherbs.com/index.php/product/ge-jie-nourishing-kidney-pills-bu-shing-wan/ You need to stay away from caffeine for now until your system balances out. I have a feeling your CNS is tweaked a bit... try Passion Flower too. I think we don't hear enough about your daily routine... work, exercise, energy work, meditation, yoga, drinking, etc... so really hard to comment.

So what did you think of his next comment here? A bit far in the end but I can see what he means in the start.

I think the I Ching says something similar: One Yin and One Yang is Dao. I might say it like this: Yin is the energy of Dao expressed/interpreted/experienced in the manifest world as Yin Things This, to a degree still sounds like duality trying to resolve Not Two. To me, Dao is even Not One. One is One. So Dao closer to emptiness.
