I think I need to change it again.. Trunk is right.... so much bigger than Moore.. and Politics !

yea, yea, yea... No Admin deed should go unpunished As I said in my one post so far... I find the topic fascinating.. and Talk Trump keeps having so many interesting side-topics that will drown out in in-fighting... why not just start another topic and get two fights going So folks want more colorful disclaimer on splits, like: "this topic was split by staff... I'm [first poster of split], and I damn well do not approve of this split " But the topic grew more and more interesting to say the least... Read 3 pages and answered each post in my head cuz I had to keep reading The varied views still left a divided feeling for some (I think); sometimes folks feel what they said didn't come across or understood... sometimes assumptions drive the thinking (I think). Like, I don't think one can just use a definition (based on the past) and then think that is how it would unfold (in present or future)... I don't think the idea is to go back to Chinese Walking Marriages (or more anciently when they said children grew up without knowing their fathers.... men truly walking away after some play). I think Gendao's Island show reveals the problem with testing things to extremes... there is no point is simply trying to setup an environment that is neither natural nor ever likely to be the case. At least test something closer to reality. A hunter-gatherer test would even be better I recall a christian comedian once saying (lots of liberty to retell it as it was a long time ago)... the answer to 15 million men demanding control and power is not 15 million women demanding control and power.

I think that what TM was suggesting is... just kind of backwards... well, that is my take. I might say, at least the way you describe it is not what I'm reading...Feminist society is not matriarchal in what has been described.

I split this out as well as many other questionable topics But this one has long intrigued me and TM pic has always reminded me of the spirit of Xi Wang Mu... considered a time of matriarchal respect. The above quotes are along the lines of my explanation of the gender energies as male/transmission vs female/reception. It is wholly misunderstood as terms but the simple explanations do justice to the idea. Of course there is generalizations, but we have to have some foundation.

If I understand the basic argument here... Laozi vs kongzi vs Mengzi vs Hanfeizi. This a Daoist vs Confucian vs legalist view. IMO, to regulate the Dao (as by a law) seems legalism or even Confucianism. They had some alignment to the daoist terms, but so did Zen later. In daoist terms (and like zen), it mean a more natural interaction with life. Legalism and Confucianism may of looked at the outcome rather than the present residing moment.

"Heart" depends on the level of awareness. Physical Level = Heart as Heart... like a beat Qigong Level = Heart as Energy ... The General that directs the energy... usually means Heart/Mind Spirit Level = Heart as Spirit ... Heart is the embodiment of non-physical stuff... astral, magic, healing, etc. Light Level = Heart as Light ... Heart is the embodiment of more primordial stuff... deities JMO

Rule #1: If it flows with MCO practice, it is open... here is a spoiler: It is always open. Rule#2: If you feel it flow without MCO practice... maybe you missed the #1 spoiler. Just to be more serious to the topic... the MCO will open stuff that can stay open for good. It may depend on whether you continue with practices that continue energy work to some degree... as part of what opens is awareness/knowing/sensing. When the latter opens, you can shift to that.

Despite my affinity and connection to Laozi, the one quote that stays with me is from Zhuangzi.. I blame Marblehead for being a herald of his text. paraphrase: "When the world was born, I was born". The interconnection of the small one to the big ONE is apparent. The sheer Oneness of the phrase leaves no doubt as to his position about existence. And it allows a cause - effect interpretation... or even a dependency argument against self-arising or self-independence.

I feel Ralis has a point here but it is a moving target of throwing darts... He should not be allowed for sexual or political or ethical or moral or religious issue ? ALL of the above for some. If we viewed the issue from any singular point of view, we might agree as an opinion piece but the problem is, when has there been any single or multiple litmus test applied consistently to every single potential senate seat ? In the end Ralis position is as much an opinion as WW... I can understand the opinion but then we stuck with going deeper.. Is there an issue? I sympathize for sexual allegations as I think women won't generally just make it up and if true, the trauma can stay for a lifetime. This opinion has to be balance by rule of law.. innocence until proven guilty. I think there is a middle ground as most accusations will not be taken to the court of law. So we are left with an opinion on what we might belief occurred... and left with an opinion that if that happened 40 years ago, should it affect something today? As he vehemently denies it, I suspect his male POV disagrees with the female accuation POV. That divide will leave a divided opinion. Now, RC shared some very interesting discrepancies... but Moore as the accused should of come up with that, or something. So he has some responsibility to show why the accusations are to be questioned or not true. I don't just accept someone saying "It is not true"... that is an opinion.

I think she will teach you much more than Chia on sexual energy Welcome

OldDog... we have some New Tricks here... hope you find them

I think this is the crux of everything we see... As has been mentioned by others... politicians lie; news outlets fudge stories; the spin guys just spin the hamster wheel. This has gone on for a very long time. But what is different is simply that those folks doing as such have been exposed with a very glaring light and it has now kind of caused a molecular level vibration of insanity in them. The insane reaction at election night and which continues with cries of impeaching to killing the president is sanity gone wild... The crazy side has had the veil pulled away to reveal a side that was hidden. All this talk of the 'american boy next door' who one day massacres people. They are now everywhere emerging with an emotional response they don't yet know how to get control of again. And they seem to be the media, entertainers and sports folks for the most part... Their happy little bubble of existence was popped. It seems to me a good lesson in really learning more about yourself. I'm unfazed by it all... I've not ever been fazed by who is president... I still eat and sleep each day. I don't have time to give any energy to meaningless protests. I come to TDB for news updates

My previous post really gives that answer... they are so biased and intentional in skewing facts so as to portray there is a problem when none exists... Take Trumps feeding the fish issue... CNN edited the clip to make it look like Trump dumped his fish food when the Japanese simply put a little bit in. The fact is, the counterpart dumped his fish food in and THEN Trump did the same. That is past bias and past fake news. That is reprehensible for a news organization to so blatantly alter what truly happened. JMO.

Yes, I split it out as the MSM seems a topic of interesting on some level. And agree with the bolded.

Just my opinion... same reaction with most strong caffeine or alcohol reduction.... you can't just go cold turkey.. drugs come to mind too. You have to know your intake of stuff and then know how to detox. I admire folks who detox... I do it often myself but have encountered the problems you relate.. ergo... realize a down-step to reduction of some stuff. I drink really strong coffee myself... one cup in the morning... never a second.... not due to a rule but because that is satisfying enough. The rest of the day has something to offer.. I Enjoy a morning ritual... then find another... green tea, if you want more caffeine... but be careful of over-doing that... I like very strong beer... same reason. If I drink something, I want to taste it. But if I drink that for many hours, I can't function ! LOL... Here is the lesson learned.... more water intake. I really hate drinking water but found it is the neutralizer. Based on my wife's recommendation, we have a bottle next to the bed and anytime I wake up to go to the bathroom (particularly between 3-7), I drink some water.

There is some truth to it... media bias has always existed but it is much stronger, IMO. Not just sticking to Trump... one website has yet to publish a single story about the Weinstein issue... and several won't really cover the Hillary-Russian-Uranium issue that much. There is a picking and choosing what they want to cover and it comes with so much opinion that it is not really news reporting on some level. I used to like CNN but just can't watch it anymore. JMO.

I'm surprised by the detox effects as you ate as much as I do in a normal day Maybe I'm on a daily detox diet Now, the little kidding aside... I would evaluate what you gave up during the time to include caloric intake and stuff like coffee to try to figure out what caused the effects. It's possible the coffee change could do it on its own, for example. You could go back to normal eating with no coffee to test that. I love coffee.. and beer... and they have to be strong or else it is just water to me. But I only drink 1 cup of coffee a day in the morning. High octane, please. I've read in the past of folks who drink lots of coffee throughout the day and my memory is simply, it is not a good dietary habit. I'd try to find some compromise in coffee intake. BTW: I like CT's soft detox example of items to try, I do similarly. Also... maybe try to eat something rich or fatty... see if the body is simply missing it... ergo, a process of elimination to figure out what they body is asking (missing) for.

I thought this might be interesting enough on its own... so split it out.

there is one particular movie... since I was age 10... if I watch it... I cry throughout... I've stopped crying for lots of things... but not this movie... In general, I'd suggest that crying is good for the soul... reminds us of our humanity. But there may be a time to evaluate why a movie makes one cry too much...

really interesting read through.. and I forget who even started it... wanting to be right ? now, that is funny... join staff... Talk about being on the wrong side of things... no wonder we can't get folks to volunteer... what's the topic ?

I feel I will side-track a little but 'mystery' in chinese is Xuan... and I've always favored the translation of 'origin'. The origin of origin... but ZYD said it first

North = Yin = feminine = black There is a reason there was an original matriarchal system. Or as was said elsewhere here, ""know the white" (differentiated stuff), while you "keep the black" (always know the truth)"

What little I understand is that IP.B changed their view of what it means to be a 'member' and how 'permissions' should be implemented. For a forum, that obviously drives almost everything about the software and so a 'ground up' re-build was essentially undertaken. For example: - No member category for 'validation' like the last 15 years... Same for 'banned'... they don't consider these to be 'members' but maybe a status so if someone wants them, they need to add them as a custom group. - No more friends... only stalkers followers - Our mixed use of permissions as a staff, PPD owner, and Anarchist that worked for 15 years is no longer supported. They greatly restricted permission mixing. - Buggy from the start due to a re-build. They have fixed bugs we reported. Just found one regarding 'ignore' when someone has more than one permission set... need to pass that along...

Nice idea on this kind of thread. Being in off-Grid may be a little more challenging for folks to abide by the OP but let's see if we can't respect the idea of a non-partisan sharing of News. Thanks Trunk
