  2. Some might think this is discrimination, what do you think? http://www.themarknews.com/articles/2361-gay-men-cant-donate-blood-in-canada/#.URYeqmdZOqI
  3. Scrying

One popular method of meditation and divination, is what is known as Scrying. It is usually performed with a mirror, or a bowl of water. Here are some sites talking about the method of Scrying Let's Try It: Scrying Water Scrying- http://www.wyrdology.com/scrying/water.html Mirror Scrying- http://www.crystalinks.com/mirrorscrying.html But for practical purposes, this is my favorite method of mirror meditation- online meditation techniques Mirror-chanting
  4. Scrying

Lol, come on bro, that isn't the only use for it. But...how do you know.....have you tried?
  5. I heard Eckart Tolle sat on a park bench for 2 years
  6. Read some Tolle, bro. Always wanted to say that!!!!!!!!
  7. Fair enough. I myself have not seen anything that convinced me, but it is respectable that you make your own decisions, look into things yourself, and have discrimination and are discerning.
  8. It's not just for any one purpose. This seems a relevant issue at this time, and seems to be getting interest. Are you saying creating interest in a hot topic is "disrupting"? It's not disrupting because this is the hot issue of this week apparently. It's in fact, not disruption, but very relevant discussion to the current mood here. I fear your ideal forum is very small, with little disagreement and little emotional content.......but little interest period as well.
  9. Trolling and Off-topic disruptions

It's so incendiary that no one reacted in an overly emotional way, and the discussion remained quite calm. I don't think you quite get the dynamic here, or maybe you just don't like how things work. It's taking a subject of interest here and now, and getting more interest and clicks because of it. That is a good thing, not a bad thing, for off topic and this forum. If a topic is getting reactions and is popular and relevant, you don't want to stop that, you want that momentum to keep going. What hot topic issue would you like to replace it with? Guns?
  10. Cuz the "Magus of Java", "Kunlun spontaneous movement faith healing", "Lama Thunderbolt", and "Kundaini Awakening" just scream credibility. I think someone is hard pressed to say their viewpoint, their focus on something "working, or not working", and whether they love or hate new age thinking, which is admittedly a large umbrella of diverse ideas, isn't related to their generation or upbringing. OMG this is the coolest thing on Buddhism I've ever seen! this could actually get me interested in it! Quit hatin' Lulz
  11. Trolling and Off-topic disruptions

This is really what is comes down to. On the internet, you will view someone who disagrees with you as a troll. This means that unless everyone is all happy, rainbows, and sunshine with no disagreements, then people are going to disagree and by extension troll each other. The fact people don't want to accept, is that trolling is what makes the internet go 'round. An internet forum needs trolling in order to thrive and survive. It's like WWE wrestling, you can't just have everyone getting along, you have to have excitement and competition. It wouldn't work otherwise and would just die.
  12. Whooooo! Fo-twenny Fo-twenny
  13. Lol, I don't think I could do that. For one thing, yeah I'd always wonder about all my little kids out there. Second, I'd be so embarrassed having a female nurse, or a male one for that matter, handing me a cup or whatever they give you lol. Maybe if the nurse would ummm....help with it....but if she helps me with it, she probably does for everyone lol. I think the idea would be to go in there, flirt with the nurse, and pull her into the room with you, which would take a high level of skill, to get her all turned on, before she realizes how much trouble she would get in lol.
  14. Nostradamus Centuries X

Here is something pretty cool. I found another source that independently corroborates this, and links this Nostradamus prophecy, to China. By a writer for Alex Jones' site- http://planet.infowars.com/activism/nostradamus-on-world-war-iii
  15. I find that Generation Xers, those born generally between 1960 and 1980, often have a dislike of progressive thinking, and especially New Age ideas. Why though? I think you will find a lot of Baby Boomers in general love new age, change, and progressive ideas. Generation Xers are known for their hate of all things Baby Boomer, and are not really interested in philosophy, affecting social change, or changing the world, but more about how things can benefit them right here right now. Even the title of this thread shows the Gen X perspective of "what's in it for me, will it 'work', and what will it do for me". Gen Xers feel very insecure smashed between 2 juggernauts, the Boomers and Millennials, and often just hate anything associated with those 2 groups. Millennials, born from 1980 to 2000 or so, seem more open minded in my experience, and more friendly toward a lot of Boomer ideas, but often tend to be a little more more interested in the nuts and bolts of how things work rather than the philosophy behind them. They are kind of like half baby boomer, half materialistic.
  16. Apparently in Canada you don't get paid.
  17. Hahaha, I never even thought about this. I mean how could they prove it or ever know? Maybe I should look into donating blood, how much money do you get?
  18. Well, my understanding is that one of the main issues here is the reliability of testing. It isn't 100 percent. Even if it is 99.9% accurate, that leaves room for diseases to get through the screening process on rare occasions, and in fact is inevitable over a long period of time. This is why some In Canada have said "safety over sensitivity". It's also a sensitive subject because a few decades ago there was a huge debacle, with thousands of people being infected with HIV and Hepatitis.
  19. Nostradamus Centuries X

Some more information from Nostradamus about the coming of an Easterner http://www.pureinsight.org/node/2865
  20. It certainly seems an issue that people care about and are passionate about, that is for sure.
  21. Trolling and Off-topic disruptions

Ok, then. Racism is bad, and not true. It makes me think back to something Tupac said and when people accused him of using the N word. Tupac responded," n***a is brothers hanging in the club with gold chains round they neck, but n***er means brothers hanging from a tree with ropes round they neck."
