Recently I have been extremely interested in how people are affected not just from in-born instincts, but from their cultural upbringing as well. Within a culture, depending when a person is born and grows up, they may end up being very different from people born at a different time. Today we can see a wide variety of generations co-existing in one time period. The generations today are G.I's also called the Greatest Generation, The Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials also sometimes called Generation Y, and the new Homeland Security generation also called Generation Z. Here is Neil Howe on the Generations-

A Zhan Zhuang video taoist point of view
Immortal4life replied to spiraltao's topic in General Discussion
Zhan Zhuang, standing practice, or Yi Chuan, is indeed a major key to developing internal power. There is a saying that 3 years of Tai Chi with consistent standing practice will produce the results of 10 years of Tai Chi without standing practice. It's very, very good for health, vitality, and Qi development. After standing you will feel so energized and vitalized. There is just something about stillness that develops a tremendous amount of vitality. It also brings the bodies' strength and power deep into the body. What it lacks however, is something that walking practices have. The rhythmic, steady, beating of the soles of the feet on the ground is very good for the heart and the pumping of blood. So it would be good, if you practice standing, to also have some sort of walking practice. Standing will strengthen the soles of the feet greatly, that is one of it's major advantages. Many people always say it's the soles of their feet that get tired first. However, it won't stimulate the heart in the same way that a walking practice will. -
Interview with Bart Ehrman about issues concerning 3 of Jesus' most important disciples. He explains that Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute. I believe it was the catholic church which slandered her as one, because she was a closer disciple to Jesus and actually outranked Peter who they claim is the first pope. Mary Magdalene was really the first one to see him after he came back to life, and was the one who propagated his teachings the most after his death. Bart Ehrman says here that he believes it was more-so Mary Magdalene who influenced the start of Christianity in it's earliest form, not Peter- 'Peter, Paul, and Mary Magdalene' : NPR

Most historians believe Jesus Christ was an actual man who really existed, and we know the things he did and taught have stood the test of time. The commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself, is so perfect of a law, it is practically impossible to improve upon. The most famous thing he did was come back from death and conquer death. In history prophets have used the energy of the universe to perform many incredible feats including bringing people back to life. In modern times cardiologists sometimes bring people who had heart attacks back to life by shocking them with electricity, but this uses machines and has to be very soon after the person died. It may be hard to accept for some people that a master could bring someone back to life with life energy. So there is a theory that in fact Jesus did not die on the cross. Remember that he was taken down much earlier than a person was normally supposed to be on the cross, and they decided to not break his legs like they usually do when they take someone down. Then, when he was put in his tomb, the herbs his people brought with them were not funerary herbs, but medicinal ones. We know the order Jesus originally came from, the Essenes, were experts in the use of the medicinal properties of plants. Did Jesus Really Die on the Cross?
Immortal4life replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
The society of the time, the authorities of the time, the romans, the jewish establishment, basically all evil of the time. Because the idea is that he overcame it, fought through it, defeated society with every last bit of intestinal fortitude he had. They thought they had him, but maybe they didn't, and had no idea. Would you like most women to cover up their beauty?
Immortal4life replied to Everything's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Uhh, i don't ever see these people. If you're not relating in a sexual way, as a man to a women, then how would you ever progress to the bedroom? No one goes into the bedroom with their friends or someone they don't see as relating to them sexually. -
Money is almost like a form of karma. It is a force, or type of energy. It is a way of translating how much work you give out, and how much value you give to others, into a material form. It is coined personal power. To spend money means to trade the crystallized efforts of a human being for an object worth the same amount of work. A human being is a conduit for universal energy or qi, and in proportion as he uses and transmits that energy, it will finally be stamped into material existence in the material world. A person will contribute to the larger pool of all wealth an added quota which can be returned to him in the form of material money. You could call money "green energy".

If the Universe gives you the power & authority to destroy this old world so that a new, better world can be reborn..

I would do it in a second, just for the fun of it. Regardless of the future or any potential new world. -
She's a girl, it's how their minds work. If you're funny, comedic, and putting them in a heightened emotional state, everything you say is cool. If you are serious, everything you do is rejected and wrong. Add a political agenda in there and you have a recipe for rationalization and hypocrisy. lol, I'm such an asshole.

Banned from the Bible Here is an article about Lost Gospels, and the History channel documentary called "Banned from the Bible". It shows how many texts, including Gospels attributed to or about Disciples of Jesus, have been banned and hidden from the people by the church and the priests- dead sea scrolls, lost Atlantis, Edgar Cayce all connected?
