  1. Jung Personality Test

Hello Aunt Clair. I believe we may have interacted before in the past, and you were very kind to me when others were not being so kind haha. Here are my results.... ENTJ Extraverted- 22 Intuitive- 12 Thinking- 38 Judging- 44 Called a "Fieldmarshal" apparently- http://www.keirsey.com/4temps/fieldmarshal.aspx http://typelogic.com/entj.html I'm supposedly in the same category as Napoleon, Franklin D. Roosevelt , Mark Anthony, Sean Connery, Madonna, and Yulia Tymoshenko.
  2. Poll on Moderation Issue

What agenda? You just keep begging the question. You want me to state my "agenda". I am interested in all aspects of, and all issues relating to spirituality, religion, life after death, meta-physics, martial arts, human origins, science, life, nature, cosmology, astrology, consciousness, mental potential, higher planes of existence, biology, archaeology, and anthropology. Many of the greatest thinkers in history, who turned things upside and shattered status quos, were not those who clung to their social programming or their "education". Many of the biggest thinkers were from outside the orthodox academic instititions of their day. I have explained many times in the past why it is so that if materialism or atheism were correct, meaning, sychronicity, and life after death could not exist.
  3. Celestial timing

That was quite thought provoking. It reminds of another issue I had been thinking about. Some people think of emotions as a hindrance to spirituality and enlightening. But it is really just the attachment to them, allowing them to control you, that is the hindrance. If one is in control, in harmony with their inner being and center, and detached from emotions, I believe emotions are simply useful tools and useful channels. Even fear becomes a cautionary, warning sense. I remember reading an article one time about the difference between anger and "righteous indignation" as well.
  4. Poll on Moderation Issue

I remember earlier in the year there were a group of individuals insisting I was a fundamnetalist christian and creationist, come to convert all the misguided Pagan Taoists. In the end things were not how they thought and there was never any real probalem. This is the heart of the issue. I have done just this for you, I have eliminated the bogus and provided evidence for various things in the best context I can. The problem, is that some people cannot handle it when it comes to light that their "debunking" attempts have proven inadequate. So, what they do is run to the moderators. I can tell you that in any debate, no matter how fierce, or whatever tactices were used against me, I always relied only on myself and never ran to a moderator.

  6. Poll on Moderation Issue

When was the last time there was a topic about Intelligent Design? The Intelligent Design, while obviously a legitimate spiritual issue, came along, was discussed a good amount of time, and is still around if someone wants to continue discussing it. However, it naturally went through all it's relevant points, and so will anything else that is discussed. There is no imperetive need to worry or discuss. Various issues relevant to spirituality will naturally run their respective courses. As you can see in my most recent threads here, I am already moving beyond your limited ideas about me and what "issues" I will be posting about. I think it is very clear there is no better place for them, than where I chose to post them, in General Discussion- http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/21277-marbleheads-challenge/ http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/21286-the-supernaturals/
  7. Secrets of the Maya Underworld

Here is the BBC program "Secrets of the Maya Underworld"- Deep Beneath the Yucatan Peninsula is a vast network of Cenotes connected through underground passages, underground caves and underground flowing rivers. It is no wonder the Mayans believed the Cenotes to be the Gates to the Underworld. Some of the Cenotes are indeed truly beautiful and breathtaking. Deep in the Underworld modern researchers have even found the bones of Mammoths that went extinct 10,000 years ago. Modern science has not even begun to discover or comprehend the full implications of the secrets which lie beneath the Maya Underworld. That's a good addition to this thread. +1
  9. The Supernaturals

You are suggesting that there is only one legitimate path of spirituality. I am not so sure about that. Is it true that all consciousness altering plants will lead to dependence? I don't think so because there are so many instances where such plants are used in an initiatory fashion, or ceremonial fashion. In such cases it is just like a final push when someone is ready. Then, when the person comes back, maybe they will have gotten some new insights into their being and nature, and will then begin to gradually change their lives. Also, developing an understanding of and relationship with plants should make you more aware and connected to all things by extension. You can still practice these things regardless of whether your path incorporates the use of consciousness altering plants. I understand this perspective, that natural methods are the best way to go. To develop a pure consciousness, pure awareness, and pure state of mind. However, more and more I wonder if there is truly such a thing. The mind will always be imperfect. In any path I have ever seen, each had it's own specific state of consciousness. Methods with mantras for example place you in a certain state of consciousness. Methods of focusing the mind on energy and higher frequencies puts one in another state of consciousness. Even different martial art schools place one in a different state of mind with different intents. No two schools' state of consciousness is ever exactly the same. What makes you think your altered state, is the highest and most complete state? Another important factor of the mind is the link between the mind and emotions. The mind must be able to keep emotions under control and become detached from them. I fail to see why a plant substance could not be useful with this. In fact people taking Ayahuasca say they eventually have to let themselves learn to give in and just accept the experience. Sounds like it could be a useful way of learning to overcome fear. Perhaps Ayahuasca ceremonies, and attainments toward enlightenment, are not so different like you think they are. Lucid Dreaming does not have to be incompatible with using plant substances. There are many herbs, and health food products, that people use to have better dreams, sleep better etc. If changing between Yin and Yang is so difficult, why not learn to use herbs to aid you? Not all plants are as strong as Ayahuasca, some may just stimulate someone a bit, but keep their mind totally clear and pure. So, the way I am seeing it is this.....How do you know your enlightenment is the highest achievement or highest enlightenment? Isn't it possible that you can always learn more from new sources? Why is your path so incompatible with others? Also, what do you do after enlightenment? Do you just leave your body and never come back? Why not develop your full potential and full power as a human being? Maybe the Shamans have something that would be helpful to you. Maybe experiencing Ayahuasca could give you an extra push, add to your enlightnement. Maybe the Shamans have abilities you could pick up and develop.
  10. Marblehead's Challenge

A while back this individual requested that I find him examples of Tai Chi Sword. At the time I was like, too bad I'm too busy and I posted all of this in the past and it is still available if you do a search, but today I remembered the request. How is this one for you? The Chen Straight Sword is one of the great sword sets. The family style is the real old style martial arts. Example of double straight sword

That's just another excuse IMO. Sure it will not be easy, and will of course take time, but if you learn the correct methods you should be fine going as low as you want. With correct practice you can gradually go lower and lower, without pulling anything and without hurting your knees. The problem is, most alleged Tai Chi instructors don't have the correct methods for allowing older people to go into low stances without encountering problems. The most difficult part will be knowing who is good and who is pretending, to find the correct methods and teaching. The pretenders far out number the lineage holders of lineage systems. The first piece of advice is to in general, keep the knee above the foot and don't go past the toes. Beyond that will take instruction by a legitimate teacher in person, to get your body and directions of force aligned to the proper angles, in order to get a feeling of pushing or penging out, but also maintain a feeling of pulling inwards, with the knees. In fighting you won't usually go as low as in form. The main fucntion in my undestanding of low stances, is to make faster progress, get stronger, and get more into the earth.

I don't think there will be much of a problem at all. Thelerner was complaining about threads on evolution and biology too.....just around the time those subjects were winding down and wrapping up. No one knows where I am going in the future, and like before, they are going to be surprised and I believe there will not be much for them to complain about. All I will say about it is that we will be moving in a direction much more like what thelerner perceives to be "suitable topics for discussion".

What makes you ask specifially about the Buddha? What about Lao Tzu, Jesus, or others? Who and what the Buddha really was, is not a simple matter. I think I can examine and discuss this issue, where Buddha really came from, what is true purpose was, etc. in the future for sure.
  17. The Temple of Mu

You said the same thing about the subjects of biology and evolution. In the end it was never a problem, and eventually many people got past their pre-existing limiting beliefs. The only people that have a problem with me still, are those who refuse to give up their old beliefs and who can see they are being left behind. There are just phases you need to go through. There are certain prerequisites you must go through before you really understand anything. There is no point even contemplating or thinking about spiritual issues, spiritual practices, religious issues, etc. before you understand the past and history. It is not uncommon for the person making the OP to post the post in a thread. Naturally more questions will be posed to the thread maker, than the other way around. It's a good thing, it means it is staying on topic. You just are impatient sometimes, and want to skip levels. You are like the person who just wants to skip all the boring scenes of a movie, and just get to the action that interests you. Or the person who doesn't want to listen to a whole album and understand the artist, but just download a few songs with beats you like. History and the past, science, archaeology, and anthropology, are all relevant as far as what spirituality is true and what spirituality is false. To divorce science and evidence form spiritual beliefs, is foolishness.

It is definitely true that there are theories about and traces of meteor, perhaps even atomic, bombardment. What kind of catacalysm hit the globe so hard to wipeout the previous prehistoric cultures? Just looking at the area in question you can clearly see submerged ancient lands.
