  1. The Underwater Atlantean Cities found off the coast of Cuba

If evolution and scientific materialism are true then there is no objective spirituality. Believing in spirituality is just an illusion, a mechanism that has evolved in human brains due to some sort of survival or other benefit. Spiritual experiences are just due to brain chemicals. Compassion is just altruism now and only exists because it had a benefit to groups and tribes. I want to make this point here clearly, because later you indulge in one of the most common types of double think shown by those who wish to merge evolution and spirituality. There cannot be purpose or meaning in the world if evolution is true. Evolution, by it's very nature, rules out any type of divine plan or purpose. Evolution has no plan. Either you believe in evolution, or you believe there is meaning and purpose, but to believe in both is intellectual dishonesty. It even rules out freewill. Even what you believe are your own choices, are actually dictated by your genes and survival mechanisms. Even your culture and upbringing all have genetic survival mechanisms behind them. Remember evolution is a blind process. Anything else is intelligent design. No Gods, No life after death, No ultimate foundation for ethics, no ultimate meaning in life, and no human freewill. I think you can see how that is relevant not only to Christianity, but to all Sprirituality This is only your own opinion. I would say what I have offered is much more substantial than "strange looking lines". What is the strongest point here though, is that I have provided independent corroboration from so many different independent sources. When Independent sources come to similar conclusions, you cannot brush it off so easily. That is your style, and while I may consider this advice, I think in the end my style is just different from yours. I will stop you right there and say you do have an argument there. You could say all that matters to spiritual development is how good of a person someone is, and how high their morality is. A person could be raised to be a good person of high moral level regardless of their beliefs. There is some truth to that. However, actually beliefs always matter. At some point people are going to think for themselves. What is "good"? That can differ depending on what you believe. What is moral? That depends on your beliefs. Sorry but you have just described a type of intelligent design theory, not evolution. Evolution is a purposeless and random event. Your beliefs about evolution are not how science explains the theory of evolution. The so called "theistic evolution" theory is in direct contradiciton to the scientific theory of evolution. The thing is, this is not even a thread about Evolution. On the other thread, about the Tree of Life, I provided many sources using the same statements that I used, so it is not like I am making anything up. Why would I water down the title, when my sources use the same title? My statememnts were direct quotes from New Scientist and other mainstream sources.
  2. Global Revolution!

Some people might say capitalism is a type of democracy. A democracy where you vote with your dollar.
  3. Cure for masturbation addiction

Ok I take back anything I might have said in the past, tulku is a great poster and this thread is priceless!
  4. Global Revolution!

It seems tulku is showing fear of becoming obsolete. Fear that his threads may lose viewers and attention to other people's threads. Fear that his style and content will get stale and people will start seeing it as same old same old.
  5. This is a really good point. So often you hear the word "idealism" thrown around in a negative light, as if it's necessarily a bad thing. It is not. Without it, improvements would never be made.

The reason I did not answer any specific questions was that my time was limited yesterday. No I am not Christian, I don't follow the bible, and my interest in Human Origins and the Origins of Life has nothing to do with Christianity.
  7. DMT: The Spirit Molecule

This is somethng I have been meaning to look into for a while, thanks for the links.
  8. The Underwater Atlantean Cities found off the coast of Cuba

Thank you for the positive replies. There should be something for everybody. See the wide range of takes here. For some this is about Mythology, to others it is about Creationism, to others it is about Freemasonry. The cool thing, is it is all of these things and more.
  9. The Annihilation Method

Neil Strauss, Author of the Game has put together an entire program to master the Art of Attraction. The Annihilation Method, to Annihilate the competition. Watch every episode. When one part finishes, it should take you to the next video automatically. Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr0oCNlgjvs&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
  10. Through research and uncovering facts, it becomes clear that Evolution is a theory in crisis. We know that research in genetics does not support the idea that mutations can lead to new species, the fossil record is missing completely the so-called transitional forms that Darwin predicted, etc. etc. But people have consistently come back with one claim....they always say "we know how different species evolved because we have constructed a so-called Tree of Life, which shows the course of evolution over millions of years." In 2009 the "Tree of Life" was disproven. It has now been completely thrown out, thrown in the trash. Many species scientists believed evolved from each other by branching off through random mutations and the so-called "natural selection", have been proven to have been developing and even mixing genes in ways other than how people normally think of, definitely not evolving. Mixing of genes and genetic drift can never fully explain how evolution could happen anyways, since simply mixing of genes does not create new genes, or new species. The Tree of Life was really a major piece of alleged evidence Evolution had going for it, and now its totally finished, completely done. This is like another nail in the coffin, and proof that this is a theory in crisis more than any other theory out there. I am aware hardcore Darwinists will never give up on their favorite theory, and they will claim things like "we just have to create a NEW Tree of Life, or find a new way to explain evolution", "we cant explain evolution at all, but it still must be true!" but come on, this is a theory in crisis and the Tree of Life was one of the main foundations of the whole theory. Why Darwin was wrong about the tree of life- The Gaurdian- Evolution: Charles Darwin was wrong about the tree of life http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/jan/21/charles-darwin-evolution-species-tree-life Clearly unrelated species can exchange or mimmick each others genetic material in ways other than how people normally think of. Sharing of genetic material does not necessarily indicate 2 species are related or that one came from another. Video- Evolution vs. Gene comparison http://www.metacafe.com/watch/4181835/evolution_vs_gene_comparison/ A classic evolutionist "theory" (working hypothesis, more like, since it has no actual evidence) is that species randomly mutate across generations to form new species. So you have one species, and maybe its kids have some mutation that coincidentally helps it survive, and so that line of mutant kids outlives its own predecessor species, etc. The problem with this "random mutation" idea is that it has since been proven that animals change their genetics and DNA through various non-random mechanisms, that are still not understood. Check this out: This is a snail that has been described as "half-animal, half-plant." It's a snail that has some kind of "plant stuff" growing on it, part of its actual body and not a symbiotic relationship with a sea-fungus or anything like that. The plant-like stuff actually produces chlorophyll that the snail can use as food and so sustain itself without eating anything, only using sunlight. The snail has somehow incorporated plant genes into its genetic structure. Now if genetic changes were truly all random then this would be impossible, or at least insanely, astronomically improbable, that a random mutation would exactly mirror genes that have simultaneously developed in plant life over millions of years. The scientists who are studying this now realize that genes can be transferred across species, but no definitive mechanism has been discovered for how this can occur. The general idea of evolution may have a grain of logic to it, and it seems to make sense on the surface, but no one knows exactly how it works. Something else is definitely going on besides just random mutations and natural selection. LOL! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2QO3c9JL1A

I think there definitely had to be at least 2. Heh, I might be able to help you out with that at some point.
  13. The So-called "Tree of Life" has been debunked

Headlines claiming "A Missing Link May Have been found!" are extremely common. What always happens, is after the headlines die down, they make a small comment in the back of the paper weeks later, "Oops, no it's not a missing link afterall".

Let's examine your words, to keep context and perspective clear. National Geographic admits the mythological implications. Mythology, which you dislike so much, is often based in reality. What I offered was not conjecture, but physical evidence, pictures, that cannot be explained by Geologists.
  16. The Underwater Atlantean Cities found off the coast of Cuba

I am gald you like it. That's what I was thinking. I can cite sources and present evidence, and quote some samples of each article. That way, you can spend as much time as you like, you can click what particularly interests you, or you can just browse through.

The title itself makes a claim. "New Underwater Finds raise questions about Flood Myths". In fact there is truth to much of the world's ancient Mythology. The city of Troy for example, was once thought to be a myth. Since scientists cannot explain away this evidence and data, people have to look at it themselves. Right here we have the sonar images and photographs, there is a difference between reading about it and seeing it.
  18. The So-called "Tree of Life" has been debunked

Sweet, that's actually kind of a cool idea
  19. The Underwater Atlantean Cities found off the coast of Cuba

Scientists cannot explain these finds and evidence at all. Even National Geographic admits that there are prehistoric civilizations submerged under the sea that shed light on what were at one time thought to be just "flood legends," including Atlantis. New Underwater Finds Raise Questions about Flood Myths- http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...nkencities.html Of the many things shown here, are sonar images and photographs of structures that cannot be explained by natural geologic processes, Pyramids, Silicon Roads, Buildings, Domes, and Cubic Blocks, composed of Rock not native to the area, and Metal. Fossil evidence indicates animals 2000 feet below the sea that cannot survive under the Sea.

How do interesting threads, with never before seen topics, loaded with sources and citations, "hurt the board?" You apparently don't like them, but you can only speak for yourself, not the board. I think this is a bad idea. The thread would become stale very quickly, it would not be congruent, and a lot of information on specific topics would simply get lost in the shuffle. I have noticed over time, when posting, that a good thread lasts about 5-7 pages. That's how much space it takes to say everything that needs to be said, and every relevant point. After that it is just stubborn people arguing, and it becomes pointless. I don't do redundant 20 page threads. There is nothing worse than seeing a 20 + page thread, many weeks old, being ressurected one more time. It's not user friendly. No new user is going to read it, no lurker is going to read it. It won't draw people to it. Only hardcore forum junkies are going to be interested in that.
  21. The So-called "Tree of Life" has been debunked

    I agree with that quote
  22. The Underwater Atlantean Cities found off the coast of Cuba

The information in this thread, on the Atlantean cities, structures, the geology, the sinking of land masses, etc, has never been seen before on this forum. History, our history, human history, is very important to spirituality, and is crucial in understanding how to go about being a spiritual being.

Originally the Pyramids had a nice shiny outer coating, and capstones at the top. Even today, possibly 10s of thousands of years later, they dwarf modern Cairo buildings. One was for a final spiritual initiation. The long hallway up the pyramid, at one time had magnificent images along it of the stages of spiritual development and the Tarot images. The initiate would be placed in total darkness in the pyramid with a certain ointment on them, and a final enlightenment or near( or complete) death experience would be brought on. They were also power plants. At the very top of the pyramids was placed a capstone of gold with a crystal(maybe quartz?) in it, which I think absorbed and focused rays from the sun. In the center of the pyramid would be placed a large electric capacitor. With the power of the capacitor, and the crystal at the top. Anyways, I'm not too great at explaining or understanding all the exact details. But the Pyramids allowed wireless tranmission to power lights and vehicles, or ships even at one time, without wires or fuel. They were actually built 10,500 BC as opposed to the conventional dating of 2,500 BC. Underneath the Sphinx is Grandmaster Thoth's terrestial airship. In recent times Dr. Robert Schoch and John Anthony West discovered the rain weathering patterns on the Sphinx provides hard evidence that that type of weathering could only happen from 10,000 BC to 5000 BC. Author Graham Hancock has demonstrated that the shafts of the Great Pyramid point directly to certain stars and contellations. But it doesn't match the stars in 2,500 BC, it matches the sky in 10,500 BC. Also, I think I remember reading that there isn't even supposed to be granite in those parts of the sea near Cuba, Florida or Mexico. On a Graham Hancock show I remember him interviewing an old man who remembered tons of granite being excavated and taken from the bimini road area in like the 30s or 40s. On each corner of the the bimini blocks, are very manmade looking sort of small pillars or legs, holding the blocks 6 inches or a foot above the ground. http://edgarcayce.org/am/androspressrelea.html http://edgarcayce.org/am/biminiexpedition.html Site tht talks about the A.R.E's ( association for research and enlightenment) search for one of the "hall of records". Modern mining, the red arrow in the picture directly above is pointing to a huge mining truck. It takes the truck over two hours to get from the bottom of the mine to the top. John Sparkman is dwarfed as he looks into a sinkhole near Picher, Okla., Saturday, April 6, 2008.
