The Lost Civlization of Atlantis
Immortal4life replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
An article about Atlantis from the viewpoint of spiritual practice- http://www.pureinsight.org/node/5437 -
Although Fajing and using the opponents force against himself were not the points I was thinking about, the application of Yi, seemed a relevant point, at this point.

This may be relevant...

One question that so many people must wonder about at some point in their lives, is are there other intelligent Life forms out there? If so, how far away? And if there are, is it possible they could develop the ability to travel to other planets? This question has implications for scientists, philosophers, spiritual cultivators, and religious followers alike. Here is an interesting Documentary examining the links between Sumerian history and the Genesis story, entitled "Are We Alone in the Universe?". The implications of these connections may go far beyond what anyone expected. Could it be, that Extraterrestrials have influenced the development of Man, or had a hand in Man's Origins? an intriguing idea indeed- Another Version, "Sumerian Origin of Humans"- http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1356843629123064992#docid=-8464304184140370725 Clip- http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1356843629123064992#docid=-4878828737097557163

Do you think we are Alone in the Universe?
Immortal4life replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
I don't know, but that's a good question. It ties into the question I posed in the OP....is it possible to travel at speeds fast enough to reach other planets with life within a human lifetime? of course, we don't know how long aliens live..... -
A Lost World? Atlantis-Like Landscape Discovered

Very interesting. The researchers believe there are other land masses to be found under the ocean still. We always think we know so much about the Earth, but the saying that "we know more about outer space than our own oceans" may actually be true. -
Do you think we are Alone in the Universe?

There is nothing wrong with that view point, even if some people believe it is illogical based on how large the Universe is. The fact remains it hasn't been proven that there are other intelligent beings out there. -
Apech's statement is very vague. Who built the Sphinx? to construct the Sphinx is no easy task, it required some sort of civilized coordination. Who?

Hard and soft is the first one that comes to mind. Tai Chi is like a needle wrapped in cotton. Change is next. When one thing moves everything moves. If something opens, another part of the body has to close. If you want to move back, you have to have energy pushing forward. If you want to move forward you have to have energy pushing back. Structure. You have to have balanced structure when releasing force. If you want to release energy forwards, you have to have energy going back into the mingmen and back leg. In addition if you have energy sinking down to the dantien and legs, you also have to have energy rising to the top of the head. So yes, understanding the relation between Yin and yang is important in practice.

I can be as absolute or mild as I like, whether you believe it is "a problem" isn't all that consequential. Progress and technology can in fact be, and often are, in an adversarial position in relation to morality. Technology often brings "moral dilemmas" to the table. Of course civilization needs both morality and technology. The beliefs, morality, and mental development of a civilization will determine the nature of it's technolgy. Will it have destructive, un-harmonious technolgy that is harmful to the Earth? Or natural technology and abilities that are harmonious with the Universe and Earth's nature? As John Anthony west points out, advanced civlizations have existed in the past....and they are gone now. As we know in the current times today, history has a tendency to repeat itself. Science and Tehcnology is simply a tool, and should not be an answer in and of itself, a dogma, or worldview. Does morality guide the progress, or does progress control the morality?

Maybe Star Trek is not so far off the mark... http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/dec/16/waterworld-planet-earth-life http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2011/01/110110-nasa-kepler-10b-new-planet-found-rocky-science-space/ -
Analyzing the Church of Progress is good, however, upon analysis, it seems the Church of Progress is a false promise. Progres is not going to solve Humanity's problems. Science can not weed out selfishness and greed. Technology can not make people kind. There are no religious, scientific, governmental, institutional, educational, or political answers for the world and it's situation at this current time. There are only Soul-utions. There is only true spirituality. There is kindness, compassion, tolerance, freedom, and the golden rule. Beyond that, I don't see much need to post a bio of myself, or give out personal information, like a social network site.

This is not exactly an accurate statement. Here is what these "others" you refer to say in their own words- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jctu9rf7Ncs Dr. Robert Schoch conservatively dates the Sphinx, at the very latest possible, to about 7,000 BC, but in his words "some have pushed it back farther than that, and in all honesty, it is possible according to the geological dating". The real point is that the old conventional Egyptological dating, of 2,500 BC, is impossible, and ruled out by Geology. If the Sphinx bears rain erosion, it had to have been carved before the rain fell, it could not have been carved after.
-
That is because he is an Independent Egyptologist. He does not have all the official titles one might normally have and this is why he enlisted the help of Dr. Robert Schoch of Boston University and others to assist in any formal challenges against conventional scientists. He still rocked the world of Egyptology.

Not at all. John Anthony West is an independent Egyptologist and scientist. Here he explains some fundamental problems currently affecting science and academic institutions. It is in fact pro-science.

Phobos, moon of mars, is a spaceship?

Interesting. Perhaps the new Transformers movie is more timely than we realize. I'm not a fan of David Wilcock. -
Giants- The Mystery and the Myth Very cool Discovery Channel documentary, Giants- The Mystery And The Myth Article about finds of ancient Giant remains- http://hubpages.com/hub/Human-Giants Giant is not just a legend Clearwisdom.net - Selected Photos: Scientific Universe : Life Sciences So what do you think is the ultimate point that optimal conditions and lifestyle could bring the human body to? Some say that human beings in the past could ascend in broad daylight in different areas of the world. When some Buddhas are cremated it leaves a dense jewel like substance which is condensed energy from other dimensions. Some people like to claim that the "perfect" human would be like some kind of super hunter, like something out of the movie Predator. They also claim that because people get diseases or ailments like arthritis and back problems that it shows humans are not even perfect, and that they are more like an animal. But when we look at things scientifically and mathematically we see that the human body is obviously a complete microcosm of the universe. It is perfectly upright unlike any animal. It fits perfectly into the 5 pointed star diagram, and corresponds to the 5 elements. The head is the top point of the star, with the arms and legs fitting into the other 4 points. This is why we have 5 fingers and 5 toes. We also see perfect symmetry in all life, and things often come in pairs of 2 like eyes, ears, arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. in humans. They have 2 because it represents the law of Yin and Yang in the universe. What we find is that the human body is not an evolved animal meant for hunting and survival, but it is designed for spiritual cultivation, and includes chakras for spiritual development. Some people will say "humans are weak! they die at an average of 30 years old in shitty primitive tribal societies." But again when we analyze people who actually live in touch with nature, we find around the world, especially in Asia, that ancient people without modern benefits can use universal life energy and natural principles to live to be over 100. Modern genetics says humans can live to be 140 easily under proper conditions. So what's the limit? I think the bible says man should live to be 120, and some interpretations claim the real number is 140. Some reports in China claim a Taoist Master lived to be over 200 years. I don't know if it's true or not. I don't know how to verify it any further than what is written in this article- http://www.tienshan.net/benefits.html But then, in the past humans lived to be way more than even that, were much larger, and were even semi-etheric in the beginning, not even fully material. Religions around the world say at one time there were beings who lived to be up to 1000 years old, like Osiris, Thoth, Isis, and biblical characters too. Adam, Seth, Noah, etc. are all said to have lived for hundreds of years. As we became more attached to materiality and mental desires, we became weaker and weaker. It is very obvious that in the past, there were older beings, older versions of human beings, which were much taller and larger, and who had much longer lifespans than we do today. What do you think the limits of the physical plane are?

What are the limits of the physical body?

I was not neccessarily only talking about the potential limits for one human in one lifetime, but about all people over many generations, in any time or place. -

Are you sure we can't communicate with any animals currently? It is an interesting idea though, to think that Extra-terrestrials would view human being in a similar way that humans view animals. -
I am going to be examining a much wider variety of topics soon, so I think you are all going to be surprised at the diversity and subjects of future topics.

I don't give myself +1's. That would render the whole +1 thing pointless. But to prove to you I didn't, I will now give myself a +1. Notice it says +2 now.
