It's interesting to think about what science and technology would look like if it were developed from a spiriritual perspective or by a spiritually enlightened society. It would probably be quite different than the science that exists today.

I like the idea that All is One, and All is God. It's true that so often people make Gods in their own images, and even give them human-like attributes, and human-like emotions. In the end they are worshipping something that is only a figment of their imagination, or even worse, an evil being their own thoughts created and gave life to.

It can in fact go both ways. Believing in science or religion too much can send someone off track. Mythology can and has been proven by science in the past. There are several cities in history that were mentioned in the bible, that archaeologists had never found. They considered the cities to be myths, but then they did find them. Another example would be the city of Troy, once thought to be myth, until it was discoved. Anghor Watt is another one. One of the most interesting occurences in nature is the formation of the Golden Ratio, and Fibonacci numbers underlying structures in Nature. Credentials should give someone the ability to see the bigger picture, to see things from many different perspectives, and from a broader perspective. However, often crendentials give scientists tunnel vision, and they end up only being able to see things from the perspective they were indoctrinated in, and only see things from the point of view that their textbooks give them.

I think more and more often, some people believe in science too absolutely, and too literally. They begin to believe science is always correct, and start to even begin making decisions and living their lives, while being influenced by this type of thinking.

There are indeed many sides to the debate. The evolutionist side can be very pushy and close minded in their beliefs, so alternative views to counter the evolutionary view must also be known, in order to balance things and provide an antidote to the evolutionist biases.

All these subjects are investigated in detail in these documentaries.

No matter how hard you try to protest these ideas, it doesn't change the fact that this is not a religous nor a fundamentalist topic or debate.

Based on your replies, I am not completely convinced that you know quite as much about all other viewpoints as you think. No one has asked you to take an extreme view. In fact, what I am doing is giving ideas that may inspire someone to question their beliefs, instead of believing in a theory 100% completely without question.

There's a difference between a species changing and adapting, and a species becoming a whole nother species. A moth becoming a "peppered" moth is not necessarily the same as saying a bacteria evovled into man, that a Dinosaur evolved into a bird, or that humans evolved from some type of unknown ape.
