Qi Meridians and Acupuncture points
Immortal4life replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
All the points are important....if I had to pick some....I would say Qi Hai and Ming Meng....I would have to pick Ming Men as my number one pick. Of course the Bai Hui, Lao Gong, and bubbling springs on the feet are 5 important points too..... Filling the Kidneys and Ming Men with energy is always good and powerful. -

I am in sort of a similar situation as you. I am interested in Yoga, but I know very little about it. I have trouble even knowing where to start researching or learning it.

The Illuminated Chakras- The Illuminated Chakras - A Visionary Voyage into Your Inner World There is a center channel that the chakras are along, between the top of the head and bottom chakra. Energy can flow up and through the center channel, out the top of the head, around the left and right side of the body, and back in the bottom chakra, kind of like these pictures Electromagnetic field of the heart- Of the earth- Depiction of Chakras-

Qi Meridians and Acupuncture points
Immortal4life replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
That is cool. What kind of textbooks do you have? Do you do TCM? In really old, old school teachings, the Bai Hui is often called the meeting of a thousand meridians. Some schools of Qi Gong or Martial Art, Tai Chi for example, consider it to not only be the meeting of all Yang Meridians, but the meeting point of all meridians in the body. It may be literal, or perhaps have an esoteric or poetic meaning. The method is that when most of the bodies energy is sunk and relaxed, energy will rise up the spine to the Bai Hui. -

That Buddha taught for 40 years is something I had not considered much, in the case for the superiority of Buddhism. -

I have been becoming aware of this, and have become interested in this very recently. Recently I have been visiting hot springs. I just love to train martial arts, qi gong and meditation, and then visit the hot springs. Both cold pools, and hot pools. I feel so energized and healthy afterwards. I can feel the energy from the natural minerals and natural water. Its almost like it gives my energy practice a boost. I also am very hungry when I leave the hot springs, probably because my body is still working the whole time to regulate its temperature. -

A lot of good info and resources here -
Yeah. Its a good use of the internet. Obviously the internet is not the ideal medium for going in depth or for detailed physical teachings. But for an introduction, it is very good. I also like this version or construct of the Chakra system.

Jesus the Nazarene? What does it really mean? The Essene teacher who was to come out and teach more publically to succeed and surpass Jon the Baptist who was also an Essene. Both were of sacred or royal lineages. Video clips about their beliefs and life- Jesus, Jon the Baptist, and their connections to the Essenes- The 4 Gospels and the similarities to the Dead Sea Scrolls- Information and introduction- Some historical quotes- Also, what we know from the Dead Sea Scrolls- Jesus the Nazarene Jesus Christ teacher of Rightousness Buddha Mudras & Hand Symbolism--the Power of Mudras Part 1: What Are Mudras? Real Taoist mudra Jesus in India YouTube - jesus christ in india I actually think it was most likely, ultimately Tibet where Jesus spent his lost years. Where the central headquarters of the Great White Brotherhood was probably located. The Essenes were a branch IMO of the legendary great white brotherhood of Shangri La. -

fiveelementtao awesome thread! thank you for this. Its very interesting. The truth is, someone somewhere could make a case that any text thousands of years old is just science fiction or so called bullshit. The Story of Troy comes to mind for me, thought to be only a myth, ancient science fiction....until it was found! -

Info on side effects from incorrect Qigong practice
Immortal4life posted a topic in General Discussion
Here is a good article from Michael Tse's Qi Magazine about correctly practicing Qigong, and the consequences of incorrect practice. Ultimately natural and gradual practice is best, day by day Tse Qigong Centre -
I have heard many people say, "how can I know Qi exists? I want to see proof." However, this is always a short sighted view. It is looking for answers outside of yourself. In fact, your body can be the best device for receiving Qi you will ever have. If you want to know something is real, the only way is personally experiencing it, and feeling it. A good thing to do is to relax your body and mind and silently say "I am one with universal life energy, it is flowing though me now, I feel it." That's mostly a mental or mind method. Do this anytime. Anytime in the day just stop for a minute, relax your body, mind, and thoughts, and say the affirmation. As you make the statement, realize it's truth. Another thing that is easy to do is standing meditation, with the two palms facing each other, as if you were holding an object in front of your body. As you meditate, have most of your attention on the Lao Gong acu-points in the middle of the two palms (those are also powerful energy points), and the energy between the hands. 5, 10 minutes is pretty good to start feeling energy...... After that you can pull the hands away from each other, and then bring them close together, and repeat many times. You may feel the energy in the hands more automatically then You could also do it with the tips of the fingers of each hand facing each other an inch or two apart, instead of the palms. The palms would instead be facing the body. You could have the finger tips facing each other in front of the abdomen(dantien) or chest. Then you could pull them apart, and then bring them close together again, then back apart, back close together again. But don't actually touch them together when you bring them together. Then, try this, bring one hand up a little bit and the other hand down a bit, then reverse so that the opposite hand goes up and the one that was previously up goes down. As they pass each other, feel the energy and magnetic current between the fingers. You can also do it with one going forwards, and one coming in towards you, and reverse, as the fingers pass each other, feel the energy. You can also do it in a darkened room with just a bit of light so that you can see a little bit. Then you can maybe try to look at the energy coming out the fingers and hands, and possibly see white light coming from the fingers and hands, or even auras.

That is true, some people may think of it like western exercise, which tries to go to fatigue or exhuastion, and push oneself to their limits to improve. -

Many people like the ideal of being self sufficient, creative, free, and independent. But there is something to be said about learning from those that have come before as well. -

lol Well, excpet though that Chinese medicine practitioners, Taoist, and Buddhist masters have studied it for thousands of years. -
I cant really comment much on Dr. Hu, how close his form is to Grandmaster Yang Mei Jun's, or anything like that. What I can say is that almost everyone I have seen perform Dayan qigong, had slightly different movements and slightly different forms. As for qigong in general, I think, in my personal opinion, that Dr. Hu's movements appear to be very natural, flowing, and relaxed. I especially like how he moves his whole body together. So IMO Dr. Hu is still very good.....
