Simplest and quickest method to reach Enlightment?
strawdog65 replied to bbsoft0's topic in General Discussion
I hesitate to reply... But here is my own two cents... Seeking enlightenment is like holding the wind, and thinking we could ever control what is. At our most natural... we are all enlightened beings. Enlightenment is merely a longing to return home. The inner being of light, the child of the universe is already within. Listen, and hear his laughter. Peace. -

You will make it through this.
Persevere to keep your spirit intact.
Life is all about the changes and obstacles we face. We are always made better by the lessons we get from this adversity. I wish you the best.

Arron, Our lives matter, regardless of where we are, or how dire the circumstances are. You, your brother, and the cats will make it through this transition. I won't go into my own story too deeply, but I too have been homeless and felt the utter despair of an uncertain future that feels hostile and pointless. The questioning is a good thing. The uncertainty is frightening. The despair is unavoidable. When I became homeless, I felt those same things. What calmed me and brought solace to my mind was the bitter realism of thinking, Each day, each moment is special and unique to me, and that as long as I am alive and coherent in this world... I will go on. I will make every effort to enjoy the smallest things brought into my life, and see them for the treasures they truly are. To appreciate what before I took for granted, to wake up every day with the hope that with this new day, life will show me a new direction, and I will not hold onto my past, but move forward and welcome the changes. Many tear filled nights I spent thinking, while sleeping in my truck, parking wherever I could, or if I could afford it, going to the nearest campground for $6 a night. Thinking those same thoughts you have intimated to us... What is the point of this life? What good is living and working and striving to feel like a bug under someones shoe? Attainment of all the things we think are important, when they only thing we have that we can take with us wherever we go... is our own body. That's it. Our lives matter because of the joy we bring to other people's lives. We matter because of the happiness we encourage in others, and in so doing... we ourselves find happiness as well. Aaron... YOU will make it through whatever life throws at you. Life will go forward, you will change, all this is necessary because change is unavoidable. All that you can control is how you react to the situation, and the person you will become because of it. I wish you the best... you are not alone, and never will be. Hang in there the best you are able, but make it through just the same. Every day will bring you closer to a better life. Steve

Hello Aaron! Hope you have been well. Action Vs. Intention gets at the very root of our existence. They necessarily are linked, and to me, are inseparable in regards to the essence of who we are, both physically in our day to day waking, and mentally in regards to who we see ourselves to be. People will debate this on either side, if one is more important than the other, but it's a fool's errand to believe that they can be separated and exist one without the influence of the other, not only on our mental lives, but our lives within this world. Peace!

I think I figured out the rapture thing.
strawdog65 replied to manitou's topic in General Discussion
Manitou HI! Thanks for this very Interesting thread! I just wanted to throw something into the mix.... What if what we believe to be a reality where we are existing separately and apart, is actually a holographic existence where we as separate and whole, contain the parts and whole of everything else... within us. Just as with a hologram, the smallest piece contains the information of the entirety... maybe so too with us. We perceive separateness but maybe we are the repository of all things? Great Thread!!! Peace! -

Thank you for saying that so well. The Venus project is a symbol of hope for a better future.

A sick, twisted and demented person. Times like this make me wish they (those that believe such nonsense)would all be "raptured" away from this world. I am utterly disgusted by this video. My "extended family" is in Japan. Some are in Sendai. How dare this person make such statements that what happened was a "good" thing. And that the people of Japan somehow deserve this calamity to befall them. This woman in the the video.... she is obviously very sick in her mind, and should be regarded in the same manner as someone with a mental illness. It is so unfortunate that in this world, Hate is continually shrouded by the very thin guise of "religion". The Japanese people deserve better then this woman's deluded belief system.

What will be the future earth society?
strawdog65 replied to strawdog65's topic in General Discussion
Blasto! Dude where have you been? That's one hell of a great response. Thank you for taking the time to weigh in on this important issue in such a thought provoking manner. I do agree with just about everything you stated. It is unfortunate that the power of greed will determine the lives of the masses at some not to distant point in our future. I have more to add to what you have said, just don't have time right now. Blasto, thanks for taking the time.... I appreciate it. Peace! -

The domino's are beginning to fall. Is this leading to a worldwide change? Monetary systems and caste systems are in ruin, is a Zeitgeist/venus project like society approaching us? -

Peak Oil has either already arrived or is imminent as we live and breathe. Who here believes there is inexhaustible supply of oil? Who believes that life as we know it can continue without oil? The sad fact is.... the oil is running out. Everything in this world is based on the use of oil for production. Without a suitable replacement , business will stop in it's tracks. The only reason there are now almost 8 billion people on this planet is because of the cheap energy oil has afforded us over the past 120 years. It's no accident that the world population has quadrupled in the same time frame, and without oil there will be a lot of starving, dying people all over this world when it finally runs out. I bring this as a post, because I believe it's something we all need to talk about. No one will go unaffected by this. Everyone will suffer, we are all in this together and the playing field will be completely leveled by lack of oil. So..... Tell me, do you know the truth.... or are you just like the masses living in complete denial? Comments? Let'em rip.....

Peak Oil and the end of civilization as we know it.

I think that something we can all agree on is that the truth is not being revealed and will not be revealed until it's too late. -

ZEITGEIST: MOVING FORWARD | OFFICIAL RELEASE | 2011
strawdog65 replied to YAN's topic in General Discussion
The use of references that are based on christian beliefs is ridiculous. Using people that have an obvious connection to the church is laughable. Thats like proving the bible is true by using excerpts from the bible it self. There is no historical reference to the existence of jesus christ that is unassailable. If the the first moive Zeitgeist is so wrong, then why is it so difficult to prove? Opinions and conjecture used as evidence, can always be taken more than one way. There is no way to prove the existence of jesus, end of story. Believe what you wish. This post is really more about the newest movie, Zeitgeist moving forward. Lets talk about that instead of wasting this time trying to prove who is right. -

If you are referencing "Alex Jones" you are referencing someone who has proclaimed themselves to be a believer in christianity. Mr. Jones has an obvious slant in his views concerning Zeitgeist. If you are referencing an impartial person( this atheist person) please give more info. The Zeitgeist movie#1 has plenty of references as well. Look it up. There is no debunking what was actual in pre- recorded history. Experts being on both sides, who is to say what is information and disinformation? -
Please give the link to your sources of information about these lakes. Seems very strange that you would know about something the scientists working within the state you reference do not. Please back up what you type as fact with references.

ZEITGEIST: MOVING FORWARD | OFFICIAL RELEASE | 2011
strawdog65 replied to YAN's topic in General Discussion
Hi Manitou! It's because it seems so damn obvious that I wonder why people are so consumed with their own greed. To value human life everywhere on this planet as equal would go a long way to us seeing how selfish we are to want to keep in place a status quo that is based on the very inequity that is many times the root cause of world suffering. When do we look at the wealth of our lives and truly realize we have enough already? The wealth we enjoy is based on the sufferance of others in poor countries who slave to produce cheap goods for our unending greed to consume ever more... s t u f f. We as the consumers of these products, we as the ones demanding to be satisfied with more "things" are complicit in this world injustice. We need a good Hippie commune ideology! (seriously) We need to share and live with compassion. We need to grow and change. Peace!
