Thank you Ya Mu. Yes tree's are more sentient that most would believe. He even lets me know when He doesn't want my presence, and I do respect that. I give him metta before and after exchanging with him.

Since the rest of the verse seems to be talking about energy, I would think that the grains are referring to the different manifestations of it.
-
"The Way can thereby be halted." this one is hard for me to approach. I think this means cutting the root and breaking the cycle.
-
I think this one is pointing to meditation.

"Therefore this vital energy Cannot be halted by force, Yet can be secured by inner power (Te). Cannot be summoned by speech, Yet can be welcomed by awareness I guess, to stop the vital energy, one would have to be 'outside' the vital energy, which we cannot be. To develop Te (virtue) is to develop the inner power. As we've discussed a lot on these threads, 'te' isn't being good or bad; te is what is developed if we're impeccable in our self-discovery. The vital energy, the Tao, seems to be a latency. It is the blueprint of the oak tree that is in the acorn. We can skirt around it with words, but it manifests inside us as awareness. I guess awareness is the oak tree growing within us. Or not. Any other ideas? These first two verses are awfully close to the beginning of the TTC, so there's not a lot of new chewable stuff yet. But it does get interesting" I am not sure why the (Te) is in parathesis here? Was it an added edit from the translator. When I read it, I think of the Dan Tien where the essence may accumulate.

I think this is metta "When stored within the chests of human beings"

It kinda reminds me of: Jimi Hendrix - When the Power of Love Overcomes the Love of Power the World Will Know Peace.

Cool thanks! -
Thanks He would be tricky to walk around for 3 years, there is a cliff on one side of him, and his roots are very unique. Most of the tree's in this area grow very uniquely. Does it matter which direction you walk? Been going clockwise.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that. It just sounded like it could lead to a good joke. Thanks for the info

Oh the suspense!

I have an Idea that relates to string theory. At the subatomic level everything is vibrating strings. So all of these strings connect through the dimension and they all vibrate from the same voice.

Wow, you are a sword aren't you.

I should aslo mention that I was already awakened when I took them. I did not use them to awaken.

This is only a personal perspective on the mushrooms in question, by no means is this advice to use it. I found that they increase my energy by like a hundred fold. I have never been out of control on them, and have always felt euphoric. Sometimes I see things but it is very vague and ill defined. Like a fleeting picture. The only bad feeling I have gotten was when comming down and wishing it wasn't over already.

Sounds more like your the plants human, .

You can prob communicate better if you don't consider it yours. ahaha.

I bet it's going to be a joke

I am most certaintly curious what the second lesson was. Yeah morel are most tricky. I have never even attempted it.

Yeah, I was sober Normally i wouldn't share this story with people, but it feels ok here.

Here he is. Pictures really don't do him justice. And his roots. Can only show the thumbnails, do you have an upload feature for pics here?

I know this may sound wierd, but I had a tree tell me a story. He told me about a man, (unlike me) that used to live by him when he was a sappling. The man was staying in a tunnel and went around chopping at the tree's with his knife, for no other reason than to chop it. He made his way towards this sappling and tripped over the tree's root, tumbling down an incline and cutting himself with the knife. The man was never seen from again. I agree that we are all inter-connected, because I told the tree when I was giving him metta that the other tree's were going to be jealous. He let me know that the love is shared amongst them all. I think he told me this story because I was worried when I pulled some of his bark off where my back rests.

Zerostao, I noticed that you are into mycology as well. What fungus to you cultivate? I have been growing lentinula edodes and working on getting ganoderma lucidum going.

Thanks for the great info!

Do I just strike him with my palms? I feel bad now about what you guys said about not mistreating him. He has a perfect enclave in which I can fit my body, and there happens to be a knott sticking out right in the middle where my back rests. I started peeling off some his bark there. How can I make it up to him?
