  1. love yourself

If loving yourself brings you to the 4 brahmaviharas, then because the 4 brahmaviharas lead to nirvana by extension loving yourself leads to nirvana.

Why does my background or what I look like matter? All there is is this moment. The past is simply a memory. What I look like has no bearing on what i'm saying. And I agree we're all in the same boat. That's all i've been trying to say. We are all free. I have been trying to help people see that they already know the truth, whatever it is for them. I have been trying to help people see that this is their life, and they are free to enjoy it. My message has been almost nothing but misunderstood, so I just don't care to share it anymore. Not as a "message" like this thread was. I will post, but I have nothing I want you to understand. All I want is for you and everyone else to be happy. I'm not trying to define what happy is for you. Just be happy. That's all i want.

better yet, someone just delete this thread. I want to fade away into the obscurity that we all share. I thought if I made myself known I would be in better position to help people. Clearly I have created more doubt than belief. Or, in actuality, more belief than doubt. So plese delete this thread. I'm not enlightened. Not anymore than you are.

the buddha used words. Words have no ultimate meaning, but they can be beneficial in waking up to the truth. Even though that truth is beyond words. And I have no desire to have my understanding challenged, just like I have no desire to challenge your understanding. I am here to be happy, and this understanding makes me happy. If you think that my understanding will make you happy then great, if not then great, find your own happiness. My way of finding happiness is no more valid than any other way. I have nothing to offer than you don't have to offer yourself. I implore you not to take my words as truth. My words have no truth. Only you can find truth.

Maybe those of you who say an enlightened person wouldn't use the internet are right. The internet is way too full of negativity and hate. Noone cares. Everyone thinks they know everything. Noone wants to listen. Noone wants to discuss on an equal footing. I desire to help people, for now using the internet as a means, but there's been far too much hate. I'm thinking about giving it up.

    I know nothing. Happy?
  7. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Some of you are placing limitations on what enlightenment means. Honestly after a little over a day I am rethinking how open I should be about things. I can't stand the negativity of people who want to judge and want to think enlightenment is impossible because they have some pre-conceived notion about what enlightenment is. ultimately you can't do anything to me, but I don't enjoy the endless doubt. I have nothing to prove to you.
  8. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Because all that exists is freedom. You are free too.
  9. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Freedom is just a word. It is a concept. It is illusory. There just is what is. Live life! Not saying you necessarily don't understand that I just want to make it clear.

I can't keep doing this. At times you seem like you're getting it or at least want to get it but other times you are skeptical. I can't keep going back and forth. If you want to hear it I would love to help you, if not than you must find your own path.
  11. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Ok. I am growing tired of trying to make you see.
  12. I think I just experienced enlightenment

We're only the same at the ultimate level. The ultimate level is that there is no ultimate level. Only infinite subjective levels.
  13. I think I just experienced enlightenment

No. If I choose to suffer that is my choice. If I choose to be happy that is my choice. I can do whatever I want. Because i am everything.
  14. I think I just experienced enlightenment

It's not mine any more than it is yours. I am you. We are one. We are both the ultimate. Everything that exists is the ultimate.
  15. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Right. Once you understand that it's up to you. Is your truth buddhism, or some sort of truth that requires you to live a certain way? Great. Live that. For me, the truth is that I am here and so I want to enjoy myself as much as I can.
  16. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Exactly. It's so funny. The people who are so close to the truth think that they have to deny their ego. They just have to take that last step and understand that the ego, in it's non-existence, is all that exists. Why deny it? If you choose to that's ok. For me, it's missing out on all that life has to offer. When I thought about becoming a monk doors were closing. Now that I understand the world is mine.
  17. I think I just experienced enlightenment

I don't want to deny the ego. I love this life. I love the things that my ego can experience. I'm not the ego ultimately, but that doesn't mean i'm not gonna have fun with it.
  18. I think I just experienced enlightenment

I agree that my truth isn't your truth. Find your truth. I have found mine.
  19. I think I just experienced enlightenment

We're all enlightened. There is nothing I have to do. I will do whatever makes me happy.
  20. I think I just experienced enlightenment

lol. that's ok. I have no desire to make you see things any differently than you do.
  21. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Right. You are all that exists. You constantly change. You are experiencing one of those expressions.
  22. I think I just experienced enlightenment

There are an infinite amount of egos. None of them are ultimately who we are. We are the ultimate. We are everything that exists. All that exists is the truth. The truth has no real form. Everything is the truth. In this life you are simply learning about what is. What is? The ultimate. What is the ultimate? You.
  23. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Right. But we can never experience "the elaphent" because there is no elephant. There is only this shape.
  24. I think I just experienced enlightenment

hahaha. I feel quite ultimate as well
