I think I just experienced enlightenment
TheJourney replied to TheJourney's topic in General Discussion
Right. Nothing I say is ultimately truth. I am just doing my best to inspire you to see what I see. -
Maybe it's not your truth. That's ok.

I am enlightened. We're all enlightened. The only difference between me and some others is that I realize that i'm liberated and I understand what that means.

Funny how you thought the universe was the center of your head. I could see thinking that. -
Because I can help.
-
I couldn't possibly liberate someone. You can only liberate yourself, if you're ready and it's your desire.

This. exactly. Personally I think the buddha discussed with his disciples about these higher truths, which people had a hard time understanding. So he spoke to them in a way which would eventually lead them to the truth, but was really not the highest truth. His harder to understand ideas may not have been so publicized.

Think about it. Another word for nirvana or enlightenment is liberation. Liberation means free. Seriously think about this. How else could you be free? If there were a truth, then there would be a goodness within that truth that we would have to strive for. This would limit our freedom, as we moved farther and farther away with the ultimate truth. The only way you can be truly free is if there is no truth. -

People's ideas of enlightenment are that once you become enlightened you become a robot. This is not true. If there is only one right way of acting, and once you become enlightened you must act that way, you are imprisoned. To be enlightened is to be free. There is no truth I have to chase after or live by. I can truly be free. It's the most wonderful feeling. -

I'm not smarter than anyone. Sorry if it came across as condescending. It makes me smile because buddhists and taoists and the like, the people who are so close to the truth, because they're so disillusioned by thinking "buddhism" or "taoism" are the truth that they repeat what they think it teaches is the truth. Whenever anyone says anything on these types of forum, everyone jumps in and says "yes but you are grasping to this truth. Ultimately there is nothing to grasp to. Your words show you don't understand." It makes me smile. Not in a derogatory way, in an amused way at seeing human interaction and understanding in all of it's beauty. I said it was a theory. A very interesting theory, and one that explains a lot. I never said it was anymore true than any other one's truth. I'm not here to put myself above anybody. I'm not here to convince anyone of anything. If you are interested in my ideas, great! I would love to discuss them with you. If you think i'm crazy, that's ok too. Everyone is on their journey. All truths are equal in their truth yet lack of ultimate validity. We have an eternity to understand. There's no rush. Be happy with wherever you are. There's nothing you need to do. Enjoy life. That is all you should do. -

Reality is a combination of time and space. Matter represents the space, Waves represent the time. Any given moment in time there is motion. Motions involves going from "point a" to "point b." Well, what if all of this is simply the result of a motion of a wave. Time, how the wave is measured, traveled distance, meaning traveling space, merging the two together and creating our reality. and what if our whole existence is simply one moment and for every moment of a life there is a whole separate reality. That is one soul. All of that exists for every soul. Each soul is a separate consciousness with whole other options for how all of the realities will be.

As far as all this shit about higher dimensions you may be interested in hearing about all these channels that are supposedly coming from higher beings. May sound crazy but it seems possible to me. http://www.youtube.com/user/Komurosan that's a channel with almost daily channels.

Hey all just makin my intro post. I figure i'll give a quick summary of my spiritual path and where i'm at now. Basically I considered myself christian through the age of 17 but didn't take my religion very seriously. Then one day I decided to get serious about it and read the bible. I started reading the bible hours every day. This led to me becoming a messianic jew. Continuing my rigorous study, I ended up nearly converting to orthodox judaism. Then I realized that I couldn't know if that was true, so I became agnostic. Then I became a hardcore atheist. Then I started getting into spirituality, reading and contemplating as much as ever. Finally I had my "awakening" which led to me gaining an unbelievable amount of knowledge. Shortly after this I began studying buddhism a lot and ended up calling myself a buddhist for a while. Then I started doing some reading on taoism and there were some things about it that made more sense to me than buddhism, though I still agree with a lot of the ideas within buddhism. So right now i'm basically doing my own thing, with my ideas being a combination of taoism, buddhism, and new age spirituality. So yea, that's me

I've always thought I would be good at poetry, and my horoscope even says that I would be, but i've never really tried it. Anyways, I know absolutely nothing about poetry but I figured it would be fun to try to make some spiritual poetry. This is my first attempt at a poem, like, ever, so don't be too harsh but let me know if there's something about poetry I should know which I apparently don't. All things are changed Situations rearranged But what keeps it moving? How can impermanency Continue so permanently? There is a stillness You may call it utter bliss The nature of this Is chaos and transience So there is the all The transcendent Through which all things hear its call Eternally in flux Its nature not changing at all

What i'm trying to say is. There is only flux. There is no moment to moment. There is only the flow. It is all that exists. As you all say, it's not about "time" or "no time" but really the truth transcends time and space, for at an ultimate level there is no separation, in terms of time or space, and yet the nature of that non-separation is flux within time and space.
