Bahahaha...an MLP thread on Taobums. Love it! I'm 27 and proud to say that MLP:FiM is currently my favorite show. And, amusingly I didn't realize it until reading your post...I haven't watched porn since I started watching MLP. o.O Freaky... I got sucked in after watching this hilarious parody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FjMQBN2Ls8 There are five other episodes of that parody as well. I'm one of those bronies who've found therapeutic benefit from the show. It's been one of the few bright points in my current state of soul-crushing depression.

Toying with the idea of replacing Vicodin with reefer for pain mgmt.

My guess is that by attempting to "help" you're forcing yourself into an active role in the incredibly intricate and complex universe of cause-and-effect and may wind up doing more harm than help. By remaining "harmless" one allows the universe to take care of itself. Just my two cents. Definitions on what constitutes "help" and "harmless" I leave to the philosophers. -
Right now, the closest philosophical concept to what I experience as worldview is this: Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Hobbies, hmm... Leatherwork (apprentice leathersmith), music (play guitar), video games, other visual media entertainment (anime, cartoons, sci-fi, etc).
-
I think you've mentioned that before, yes. It IS nice that we don't get into arguments.
-
Video caught my eye...I admit it, I'm a closet brony. Couldn't get into the song, though.

I support this thread! Bump!

I dislike practically everything about myself.

Thanks for sharing about your life, I enjoyed reading it.

Three wonderful qualities which I am sorely lacking in these days.

Om Mani Padme Hum as the Alternating Current secret
Cat Pillar replied to voidisyinyang's topic in General Discussion
I love the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra, but haven't really used it much. The melody is incredibly catchy. Also, kind of off-topic, but thanks to your constant mentioning of it I've ordered Taoist Yoga: Alchemy & Immortality. You've piqued my curiosity. -
It definitely adds some spice knowing that around the next corner there might be some random baddie that will curb-stomp you in no time flat. Which technical aspects are you talking about? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, and back to anime...I was disappointed to see that Netflix doesn't have Code Geass. Are there any other video services (like Hulu, maybe? Never used that one) that have it, or am I gonna have to buy it?

Mayans Never Predicted World To End In 2012?
Cat Pillar replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Those in it for the money are looking at numbers, not people. Same for those 'business cycle' people. Their thoughts are rarely, if ever, about the human aspect. They see black and red, little else. -
Aye..."my ghost" is off the deep end as far as that goes. Great musicians, though. What movie is that from?
-
Surely not that Ghost! Although that was interesting. This is the Ghost of which I speak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flcHCTbdLSM

I get the feeling you're talking about a user on here, but can't help but take the paragraph at face comedic value. Apologies. Yeah, I hear him every time I listen to Ghost.

It's terrible, isn't it? Why do they have to go and make such a good game!? >.< Nothin' wrong with that! Those inner children get restless if they're not fed regularly.

I wanted to be a novelist when I was kid. Spent all my free time writing in class...even got in trouble for it a couple of times. Gave it up because I ended up hating everything I wrote.
-
I'll give it another shot, then. If I can ever pull my free time away from Skyrim, lol. I might check that out. I haven't really read much manga, but I'll probably have to start. The way Claymore ended kinda made me angry and I'd like to see how it's REALLY supposed to go. Yeah, they could have done better with it, but some of the space battles are pretty cool just due to the sheer scale. Concept is definitely amazing. Yeah...a little fan service is acceptable, there are tasteful ways to do it. But it really turns me off when it's excessive and blatant. Glad they toned Kenichi down for the anime, that would've really tarnished the experience for me. That's pretty high praise for Code Geass. I'll put that one next on my list to watch. Thanks, Sloppy!

I've been watching a lot of anime recently myself...seen a lot of really good ones I've watched on this thread. Among my personal favorites: Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit Death Note (probably one of my all-time favorites ever) Darker than Black (I've only seen the first season, but enjoyed it) Oh! Edo Rocket (completely hilarious, a self-aware anime. Definitely in my top five) Fullmetal Alchemist (haven't seen Brotherhood yet...started watching but didn't finish, cuz it seemed a lot campier and not quite so dark. Does it get better?) Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple (really fun martial arts anime, fights are pretty cool and the story is solid) Angel Beats (short but sweet, enjoyed the music a lot) Claymore (didn't like how it ended, but overall it was good. Very dark.) I watched the first episode of Mushi-shi, and it looks pretty interesting, very artsy. I've been watching Heroic Age sporadically and it's alright so far...the dialogue isn't the best, but the plot is interesting and the fights are crazy. Hetalia Axis Powers is one of the best representatives of the "WTF, Japan!?" group (so is Excel Saga, if you have the stomach for the high-pitched screeching of the main character). High School of the Dead is okay so far (only a couple episodes into it), but it'd be way better without all the fan service. Totally unnecessary. Looks like I'll have to check out Code Geass.

Powerful and Fantastic Animation

That was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing, Songs! -
That's a pretty cool testimonial. I may have to give a phone healing session a try sometime. I don't reject healing energy, I just haven't run into one yet that works on me.

I've never had much luck with distance anything. Energetically I'm about as sensitive as a doorknob, it seems. Although apparently I'm a very good ground - I held a friend of mine's hand and she remarked almost instantly that I was excellent at grounding. As a matter of fact, almost all energetic type things have failed to have an effect on me...aside from a Reiki attunement I had, and I barely felt that. I've heard about Master Zhang...Dallas is about four hours away, so not really something I can go to for continuous training, which is what I'm looking for. Might be worth checking out a workshop though.
