I am considering buying the two that you referred on the two links. I have some experience with this type of tea, but bought it in bulk from a local supermarket called wegman’s. They have a nice tea selection, and have an amazing sencha/matcha tea blend from japan. While I enjoy their Puerh tea, I’m not an expert, so not sure how good the quality is. my question is this. If I were to buy the two bricks in your links, will they continue to age in the packet if I buy them and don’t open?

How is your insomnia? Did anything seem to help?

Here is something you can try that helped me. Listen to a radio program or soft music, put it just as low as you can, but enough to hear. Listen to the program/music, and just concentrate on it, focus on it, and think of nothing else. I drift off most of the time.

Any advice on how to quell it? I feel like I have rage that I can't control, and my defense mechanism is to shut myself out and be left alone.

One of the things that come to my head while reading this thread is Vitamin C. Most creatures on the planet produce their own from glucose. Humans, guinea pigs, fruit eating bats, and some others can't produce their own. The RDA now is only enough to prevent scurvy. But there numerous processes that require it. Take a look at Linus Pauling's work. He was a well respected nobel scientist, but once he started studying Vitamin C and produced his results, he was blacklisted from the scientific community (despite his proof from his experiments, and his own proof. He had a condition where he was suppose to die, but Vitamin C helped to prolong his health far longer than he expected). The lack of producing vitamin C was probably due to a genetic mutation, and since the vitamin is in other foods, the mutation became the norm. Or someone was able to modify the DNA of the human race. Or maybe during the great flood, when there were only a handful of humans left, the gene was lost Either way, I find it fascinating.

Wildman Steve Brill, check out his website. He comes through my area at least once a year, and gives a two hour tour through our local woods. From what I've read, he identifies local edibles and shares them with the group. I assume he travels around, so I find that to be impressive to identify in various locations. When I was a child, I remember my father going to a local graveyard and digging up wild horseradish. He wasn't knowledgable on the subject, but someone told him how to identify that particular root. Since he loved horseradish with his food, he was extremely excited, and made his own condiment. I remember people saying how hot the stuff was, either because it was fresh or since it was 'wild' (or maybe both). One thing I highly recommend, especially for beginners in this subject, don't eat an abundance of anything you haven't had before. 1) you could be allergic to a plant that you never knew about 2) you could misidentify the wrong plant, and potentially mistake it for a poisonous plant. I've read in survival books that if you weren't sure about whether a plant was edible/poisonous of not, eat a small piece, then wait an hour. If no harmful effect, eat a little more and wait again. I guess you can try a third time, but after that, it's probably fine. One last thing I'd like to share, and these are abundant in the US (and I would assume the UK. Please tell me if you have them)... Pine Trees. Apparently the pine needles are loaded with vitamin c if made into a hot tea, along with other healthy compounds. The native Americans used it extensively. Again, I believe there are some species that they don't recommend doing this for, but the White Fur variety is highly recommended for tea.

This is something I want to try to get into. As I was getting my CSA share (a cooperative farm where I prepay for organic local vegetables), I saw a man picking through the weeds. I kindly asked what he was picking. He told me mustard greens, and handed me a piece. I asked if he just usually eats it straight from the ground. He said normally he washes it, but the farm grounds were clean enough that he trusts there is no contamination. He said he finds berries, lambs quarters, purslane. I know there are several other edibles. i live outside of Philadelphia, and there are a bunch of dandelions out. I wanted to make 'dandelion wine', which uses the yellow petals as a base. From what I've read, you pour boiling water over the petals, and let it sit for two days. Then strain it out, and add the other ingredients and let age. All parts of the Dandelion are suppose to have numerous health qualities. Extracts can be made with all parts of the 'weed'. Stop at Barnes & Noble, plenty of books on foraging. I'm sure your local library would have the same. I find it interesting that so many people in the US are so adamant about killing weeds, and using harmful chemicals on their lawn to eliminate them. But if more people would be educated on the subject, our planet would be less polluted, people would be healthier, and people in poverty can get a little more self sufficient.

There are things that bother me, but my reaction is over the top. Basically, I should not be getting this angry at something that is small, but then it just keeps building up. I've read that it's not good to practice qi gong when angry. If that is the case, how should I calm myself down?

Anyone know of any teachers in the Philadelphia area? In regards to internal practice, spiritual healing, or anything else Esoteric?

Thank you Sifu Terry Dunn for all of your wisdom on this board. Since you were talking about how the FP does not substitute sleep, does anyone know of anything than can help when you don't get a good nights rest?

Anyone have any experience with this tonic? Was recommended in THE ESSENCE OF INTERNAL MARTIAL ARTS BY JERRY ALAN JOHNSON. I was thinking about buying this brand: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001E6H4PI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1423459303&sr=8-1Ï€=AC_QL40&keywords=shou+wu+chih&dpPl=1&dpID=31ijIkOAJgL&ref=plSrch

As I understand it, these were released by the Rizzo brothers from White Tiger. I have this volume, and it's the only one that is available. I tried acquiring the other version, but to no avail. It seems like the other volumes are guarded for higher up students at that school. Maybe they use volume 2 as a marketing ploy to get people interested in the school?

I was looking to buy both books. Not too long ago (about a month or two), these were for sale for $50-$70 each volume. I'm looking at ebay and amazon, and they\ prices are in the $150 range, with most even more $$$. Anyone know why the price of these books have gone up significantly? Was there suppose to be a reprint, and it was cancelled?

Anyone use them, if so, what for? Anyone find success for using it with chi cultivation? And where do you buy yours?

Becoming the Lotus by Martin Faulks is a good book on this. Plenty of exercises in the book that basically start you off slow (so you don't pull or damage anything, which is very possible if you exert yourself too much), especially useful if you aren't flexible at all. I have the book, and it gives you a detailed outline. And you can get it for less than $10. Just do an internet search.

What is eight sections of energy combined? Forgive me if this is a stupid question... I had a long day of work, and my brain is hardly working tonight.

I wish you the best Sifu with this unfortunate event! It's a shame that Volume 6 is not available. Wish the VHS was still available

Sifu Terry- Volume 6: Advanced Martial Meditations, it says that its unavailable. Was this ever released? If so, do you plan on having it available soon?

http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Heavenly-Healing-Meditations-Grandmaster/dp/B008QPY4ZI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1388084349&sr=8-5&keywords=flying+phoenix+chi+kung Received this as a Christmas gift. Anyone have experience with this? If so, does anyone else have the other levels? Seems only level 2 is available to buy. I may be willing to purchase if someone doesn't need them anymore. Also seems that Terry Dunn has a similar system. Are they the newer versions of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you use precious gems for meditation or opening chakras?
cmpunk50 posted a topic in General Discussion
Does anyone use any type of gemstones for meditation or anything else? For example, lapis lazuli is suppose to bring enlightment. I also read that hematite helps to ground a person. -
Does anyone have this sell, and willing to sell? If not, has anyone had an experience with it?
