The Pangu legend In the beginning there was nothing in the universe except a formless chaos. However this chaos coalesced into a cosmic egg for about 18,000 years. Within it, the perfectly opposed principles of Yin and Yang became balanced and Pangu emerged (or woke up) from the egg. Pangu is usually depicted as a primitive, hairy giant with horns on his head and clad in furs. Pangu set about the task of creating the world: he separated Yin from Yang with a swing of his giant axe, creating the Earth (murky Yin) and the Sky (clear Yang). To keep them separated, Pangu stood between them and pushed up the Sky. This task took 18,000 years; with each day the sky grew ten feet (3 meters) higher, the Earth ten feet wider, and Pangu ten feet taller. In some versions of the story, Pangu is aided in this task by the four most prominent beasts, namely the Turtle, the Qilin, the Phoenix, and the Dragon. After the 18,000 years had elapsed, Pangu was laid to rest. His breath became the wind; his voice the thunder; left eye the sun and right eye the moon; his body became the mountains and extremes of the world; his blood formed rivers; his muscles the fertile lands; his facial hair the stars and milky way; his fur the bushes and forests; his bones the valuable minerals; his bone marrows sacred diamonds; his sweat fell as rain; and the fleas on his fur carried by the wind became the fish and animals throughout the land. Nüwa the Goddess then used the mud of the water bed to form the shape of humans. These humans were very smart since they were individually crafted. Nüwa then became bored of individually making every human so she started putting a rope in the water bed and lettings the drops of mud that fell from it become new humans. These small drops became new humans, not as smart as the first. The first writer to record the myth of Pangu was Xu Zheng (徐整) during the Three Kingdoms (三國) period. -

I am wondering how much experiential writing would balance the current volume of drivel? Reminds me of a comment from earlier about things being off topic. Does 'Fact not Fiction' imply that fiction may not be included? Facts in posts are totally subjective to future readers anyway. Two sides of an argument sets the stage for resolve which has nothing to do with sides. In the long run resolve is made by the reader/seeker from their own intuitive ability and feeling sense. -

I am not flooding and created 2 blank for the sake of humor posts 'W' and 'X' Anything else were deleted because people were being rude. I write the way that I think and talk -short (mostly) concise and when inspiration strikes. Like in most recent communication with -O- i was inspired several times to add information pertinent to that topic. Ralis later posted a complaint about the post being of topic, so I deleted them. As I wrote earlier I am going re write them on the topic of this thread. another poster at the end of a string of postings of mine got rude and wrote "manic rate of posting" I am working on several projects at once and in between for mental break posting here, hence the frequency. To allay suspicion my re writing is not intended to effect anybody else posts. I am only going to share personal experiences. The Nature of the Title of this thread is essentially negative and begs for allegory "Fact Not Fiction" is consistently used by exponents to imply that claims are fictional rather than a subjective discussion thats brings to light 'Fact Verses Fiction' -to prove and to disprove. Does this kind of action fit in with the ideals of the owner or moderators or rules there by set? -

I feel the same way. It's a delicate situation posting opinion as apposed to personal experience. I believe that personal or direct experience are the most helpful to future readers because they are stories and tend to convey a real feeling. -

Thank you, I welcome other reply to this question. It is not specific to the title of this thread, but is important to the quality of it and quality is more important than title. I saved any of the posts I wrote that were essential to the title of TTB in case there were assumptions about my deletions or V's lol Since this thread is specific to a person and I find speaking of others in the second person to be impolite I am going to make extensive re writes of many my now 'V' posts specific to the efficacy of an Alchemy called Kunlun which is in many persons memories intrinsically related to said person -

Good point, I see your view and it brings up a question. Are these threads generated for the sake of future readers or are they for the sake of posters enjoyment? Are you writeing for future readers? -

"" thelerner 19 Feb 2011 - 08:47 Are you trying to 'win' arguments through massive postings, ie posting every few minutes so you overwhelm the discussion? Or is a not so subtle way to sabotage a discussion?"" Neither of these "" are coming from your awareness -it's just assumption. How do you consider posting multiple responses on a topic a sabotage? Deleting also is not sabotage. Are you fearful for future readers of this forum not having a good experienced from this thread because there are holes in it? The content and presentation are already displeasing enough with or without deleting Do you actually go back and re read threads? Please, do not post on my profile again -
