Kunlun San Diego and assorted musings
SiliconValley replied to Taomeow's topic in General Discussion
Well, that's one thing people didn't call poor Max! I am sure he would burst into a smile, say God Bless and get back to his work, if he ever read all the discussion about him on this forum... Taomeow... Your "meow" is awesome!!! -
Is The Official History of Kunlun's Origin Bogus?
SiliconValley replied to mwight's topic in General Discussion
This question is not really aimed at Kunlun or Kunluners but is a general one. Now transmission is energy and if this transmission is from some person who is not honest or has shady credibility, would someone want it at all? If a technique, especially the one involving transmission and stuff, were to be taken from such a source, would it really help one in cultivation? Is Dharma and moral of no real implication to cultivation? Or is is it that it does not matter when the objective of the technique is not really "spiritual" or aimed at serious cultivation and something to do with "enlightenment" [whatever that means]. Something like a Yogasana or Pilates would work just fine if learnt right, irrespective of who it got from. But transmission [i assume that would be some kind of Diksha or Sahktipata] inherently involves energy exchange, even if it is channeled. Now, if the one who transmits has some serious credibility issues, energy from such a person would transmit mala [dirt or impurity] instead of actually destroying it. It is yet another theory that a person with some serious malas can never real transmit Shakti but can indeed do Prana which causes a lot of issues to the receiver. Masters warn about receiving mantras from such Gurus which angers the Yoginis of that mantra stream. I am just trying to think loud and understand if technique should be separated from the sources: intermediate and original, their influence on the way the technique is transmitted etc. and how Dharma or morality fits in here. -
WMV is not lossless. You should convert flac [which is lossless] to wav, Apple lossless, WMA lossless, monkey's audio etc. DbPoweramp does most of these conversions but not sure if that is free.

Good luck brother!!

Okay! As long as we know what we are doing and what we really are capable of! A Guru is what one goes to based on his Karma and the resulting Vasana and if one thinks, he/she can guide/lead a person to/away from someone...based on ...well...what we think are facts that we perceive with our limited faculties of understanding....sure! Moreover, the guy we are discussing here speaks nothing of the path of any of these Gurus but more so of their personal lives!

Well, he thinks what he says is the truth! It could, a lot of it in fact is, BS That is what distinguishes a spiritual seeker from someone else like this guy who made this website! Is it really of any practical benefit discussing him or his site?

Long Distance KUNDALINI KAP Training through Skype
SiliconValley replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Vajrasattva, Awesome !!! - I tried to look through the specifics of the two courses but could only find a high level overview. Is there some place where I can know what specific practices/topics are taught in each of the two levels? - Also, is Hoshin Tao Qigong a part of this course? - Is Shaktipat the same when done through a distance or is it better to go to you? Gud luck .... -

And due to its non-affiliation with a particular teacher or group [No, this is not a Kunlun form...not anymore ] there are unbiased views. -
I hope you are kidding....

Kunlun, seitai, seiki, osho, Keeney, zi fa gong?
SiliconValley replied to 寒月 Hanyue's topic in General Discussion
Srividya Tantra - which involves Kriya, Bhakti, Advaita and Tantra of course... Ok, that is exactly what I was saying... and these "details" don't make something very very different, do they? Never mind, I don't want to emulate [edit] By the way, what do you mean by root practice? Does that mean origin of other practices [just taking a guess as root can suggest origin] or origin of other "Kunlun" set of practices? Root of what? In Sanskrit, Dhatu is the root from which words originate, so my analysis of the word "root" is from that angle. Also, is it the root practice or one of the root practices? I never got to comprehend what this term really means, especially in the context of Kunlun. Would appreciate some information in this regard. -

SiliconValley replied to 寒月 Hanyue's topic in General Discussion
Naaw...got better and more useful things to do! Moreover, my practice requires me to see the oneness behind the various systems/practices rather than spot, claim or stress on the superficial differences One day, if I get to designing/discovering a practice that I can punch with my own "trademark", then I will probably drop the theory of unity and get to "it is totally different from others"! Till there is some such agenda, I will stick to the oneness thingie -

Cool, you stated your view ... fair.. To be conclusive however, we would need someone who really has practiced various of these systems, understands them well and can list similarities or differences, unbiased... -
Kunlun, seitai, seiki, osho, Keeney, zi fa gong?
SiliconValley replied to 寒月 Hanyue's topic in General Discussion
Scotty, Didn't really get you... So what is the difference? - Results promised/attained? - The practical nitty gritties like the posture, mudra, visualization etc? - The process that takes place within when the practice is undertaken? Also, as we are talking of spontaneous rhythm practices, I assume the questioner is referring to the particular practice called Kunlun and not an umbrella of the same name as some of the other practices under this umbrella are not spontaneous ones per say. If Transmission is what makes Kunlun very very different, then some other related systems have transmissions/attunements as well! I hope you are basing your observations on a clear, unbiased and critical evaluation of these different systems. They are "different" because they have some differences, be it the name, the lineage or the actual practice. But very very......hmmmmm -
I don't know what higher self would do, but Master Choa Kok Sui was amazing. In his presence, I found that stillness would be attained effortlessly.
