To be or not to be... There's no such question! From the looks of it; he is two. Wonder where he will be in two years.

Oh Ho! Applause What?! "I can?" "I can?" What!?
-
What!

The Dao, Cultivation, puts the man on their path. Yao as Yao, Xun You as Xun You, Liezi as Liezi, Rongzi as Rongzi. For Xun You to be Yao or Liezi to be Rongzi. What an absurdity!? If one understands this, none of these will be different. @Marble Why answers when one can questions?!
-
am also guilty as charged.

Thank you for sharing anamatva, Victor's translation is quite nice. Reminds me of Master Kong (Confucius). Might be useful to keep in mind for later.
-
Those are actually my comments and answers Nothing makes me want to share what Papa Zhuangzi told me yet, so I just share the questions I asked him. All the Best; P.S. (I think we are going quite fast, I drives fast but this is faster.) But I think you are doing great especially at this speed.

Is he laughing at the shiting, his insanity, himself or ABBA? Or all is the same?

Hey Marble;
Popping by to knock again.
Is it the short skirts and Bikinis that you like?
Or like me you like those that wears them

failed too miserably.

What is the different between Master Rong and Master Lie? What is Emperor Yao trying to do? Why does he want to do that. Why does Xun You refuse Emperor Yao? How are they compared to the way of Master Rong and Lie? (The He 河 is River, Stream or as reference to Yellow River.) @Hey Marble How do you plan to pace each section out?

What of a guy that is good and think himself a good guy. Master Rong; is no such guy. What use of good and bad. What use of internal and external. What use of rooting or grounding. By following the way, Liezi rode the clouds. Seeing the coming and going with ease. Why do he still have to wait, such he is following his way. If one takes joy in being Yin and Yang, and the transformation. What use of the self? Hehehe Cosmo, What is the cat doing? (For the esoteric, there's a reference here about Bagua Yin, Yang and the Six others. The possible reference is into the relationship of the Fu Xi and King Wen's sequence. One internal and one external.)

Hi Seth, Maybe the two you mentioned is not really that different. Just different people with different understanding looking at it. We Theravadins don't talk much about it; we do have it in our sutras aswell. Sunyatha is the absence of naming, absence of nomenclature. Its naming is temporary... Books as a book since one called it a book from recollections and perception. My rhetorical question is that; How does one realize that 'emptiness' is 'emptiness', where does the name comes from? what is naming it? what is the nature of the thing that is naming it? why do one need to name that again? Hontu Te

Lol, Cosmo. Whether you intended or it. What you wrote here summarized this part quite well. By not making conclusions, we may be able to comprehend it instead. @Harmonious It's to do with the Chinese character; we can't make any assumptions. As to puns, the Chinese has them; but as in any language one needs to be quite familiar with the language. @Chi No hard feelings, I was sad that you didn't took time to read my post properly before commenting that's all. I don't mind people correct me; I think it's a good thing . Why should I let other mistake hurt me? I don't but I don't want it to hurt you either. Especially if it's from what I wrote. @Steve Maybe we need to make the fonts bigger so it makes the chinese character easier to see. I am not actually familiar with the different energy/form practice; but I do think many master in the past would have access to Zhuangzi. I am not familiar with the Tibetan Buddhism practice or Dzogchen; but from what I believe, Peng also have some link with the Garuda. Could anybody tell us or share ideas or comment from it?

Haven't said it properly.
Thank you for many of your nice posts full of life and wisdom.
My condolences for Daisy;
may she finds her way through the transformation.

It will be nice if you would take time to read my post. I used bi 比 from kun 昆 inside kun 鯤. And and didn't mention anything about this kun 坤. I mentioned the eighth hexagram and not the second one. this is 坤 this is 比 I used bi 比 I didn't used any assumption from pingyin or phonetics, you made me sad. I don't mind disagreements but please read my post properly before making a reply. But yes, thank you for the thought of correcting my mistake. It is true that Yijing (IChing) is not related to ZhuangZi anyhow; I simply trying to present the imagery that it possible to see in nature of Kun, in terms of how the Chinese language developed as a whole.

Good point Apech; the meanings according to dictionaries however we could look at the Symbology. For the non-Chinese reader. 鯤 Kun 鵬 Peng Kun can be divide into yu (魚) and kun (昆) yu means fish and kun can mean elder brother or together. Interestingly kun could be divide up further into two parts ri sun (日) over bi compare (比) Kun symbol is two man under the sun. Bi is also the name of the eighth Hexagram of the Yijing (IChing); which symbol is Water Over Earth (Yin) Peng can be separated into 朋 (peng) and 鳥 (niao) Peng can is two moons side by side Niao is birds. @Chi, Lien, Dawei As for the interpretation; I will leave it to you guys. @Harmonious Addition: Emperor Tang's name means Hot Water; Separated into Water and Yang. Li means thorny, knotty or ticklish. So tell me, how could we ever think about knowing ChuangTzu?
-
Hahaha, don't worry but I get what you mean. I am stating it aswell for the sake of none Chinese readers.

Hi Informer; Depends on location and circumstances. One could say; "Therefore the sage wears fake rolex, and Ralph Laurens and avoids any dwelling of the heart." Told you, about overdoing it on the Tea!
-
Hi Avvi, Welcome to the World And the Tao Bums family ofcourse.
-
Chi, It's a question that I don't need an answer but that's thoughtful of you. I am also not talking about Kun and Peng.
-
Don't worry, I won't hesitate but also with eastern thinking. Wot! What did I just say? @Harmonious Nice to see the energy, but I do agree with Marble; he's the boss here. Lol, in my opinion. The Zhuangzi have to be taken in lightly but also thoroughly or you'll miss the laugh. @Steve That's very meaningful lunchbreak Makes one wonder what you do for a living. <- Rhetorical (Save the world?) @Marble The course? Captain! Sorry, I am just happy.
-
I understand what you mean Marblehead; I am just presenting the other possibility of interpretation. My question is whether the guy copying the text for the MWD forgot 聖 (sageness) towards the end of chapter 81. Or the text is initially like that. Just presenting, (and trying to be partial ) Take care, would be nice as well if we could make Sinfest mod Chuangtzu.

You guys are actually doing it the hardcore way from Chinese? While others just use the English translation. But how would we know about the hardcore? Borrowing an aspect from Steve's and Anavatva well written post; One could also see Kun as the Ultimate Yin Peng as the manifestation from that Ultimate Yang Making it so big also widened the Reader's mind to allows Easy Wandering; as to ask the question with the cicida. "Don't think one could understand the Great" - breaks the frame of mind. It could be free. Forget about Big and Small, go back to the Dao and work from there. This is my feeling for this part. P.S. For esoteric, please read this chapter carefully. My question, does Kun and Peng knows what it's like to be small?
