  1. 'No self' my experience so far...

Been reading some Ruthless Truth blog and their book based off the blog, Brutal Beginnings. Man, these folks seem like a weird Amalgam of a Zen Master and Andrew Dice Clay. However, its intriguing and beyond thought provoking. I have tons of questions but am a little afraid at getting cursed out if I ask. LOL
  2. Gauss, let me ask a question...Can you be considered a Falun Dafa member if you think there's nothing wrong with homosexuality, all people go to the same afterlife, and the founder isn't the highest being known to man? Genuinely curious.
  3. I read people say ,"if you are really suicidal you would've done it by now." That is a dangerous myth that's about as far from the truth as imaginable. Some people contemplate suicide for weeks, months, or even years. Looking for an answer but being ignored by friends and family that question their motives and write them off as overly dramatic. I think love is key here. Simple answer, I know. But, if you're in a void and feel alone (which if understanding isn't involved can be achieved in a room packed full of people) love can give you motive for life and help get you through another grueling day.
  4. Fear, shame, and guilt all suck. Art, love, and games yay!
  5. You keep saying its not racist but then say something even more offensive Gauss. I've answered you with sarcasm many times and an attitude of anger because its a very personal matter to me. However, I truly hope you see the error of your ways. I think you're too intelligent of a guy to believe your own justifications.
  6. C'mon man...How is that not racist? Warped behavior? You're basically saying its unnatural but you've grown to accept it. Sounds like the enlightened sage Archie Bunker.
  7. Reading the Tao Te Ching more and more I often wonder if Daosim as we know it today is what was originally intended. I read a lot about "The Way" and not forcing the universe to move for you etc. At the same time I hear a lot about energy moving exercise on forums like this and it sort of confuses me. Two things I want to make totally clear... 1. I am in no way, shape or form insulting anyone's practice. 2. I am not an expert on Daoism, the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu, Tai Chi, Qigong or probably anything. I'm simply wondering the relation between the exercises and Lao Tzu and/or does one exist? If not, do we have any idea how he may have meditated?
  8. I'm still confused here. Maybe, its me. The system clearly believes in racial segregation at some level and everyone is okay with this? Nobody has said...Wow, that's WRONG. It seems as though everyone is more apt to say "Well, it is good for chi cultivation".
  9. Again, so all the people of mixed race are just in limbo? Segregation is ignorant and hurtful. BTW I'm not saying you or your master are racists. But, segregation certainly is (racist) without a doubt. I have trouble believing the afterlife is about as advanced as 1940s Louisiana.
  10. I like getting daddy hamburgers during the game. jking Uh...Some ideas... I am resourceful. I am at peace. I am beautiful. I am caring. I am just. I am free. I am artistic. I am wise. I am healthy. I am you and you are me. I think its a good idea. I really use two. Happy and helpful. If you're happy and helping others to me that's really all its about.
  11. Passive Intolerance

I think religion like anything else can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Just as politics can. Just as philosophy can. Just as a steak knife can. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here. But, people are quick to label something good or bad very quickly. Whether you believe that religion or spirituality was given to us by a divine source or created by us. It still passes through different hands. Some of these hands want to help people and some want to hurt people. Sad but true.
  12. The fact that Falun Dafa believes in a racially segregated afterlife sounds a lot like apartheid. Bothered me greatly when I read that. I could be wrong, but in my view, that's not what an enlightened leader should be teaching people.
  13. I have no idea how to embed.
  14. Seth Ananda please teach me about kundalini

I hear a lot about it here but still know very little. It would be interesting to have someone really break it down. Not much Kundalini in my area unfortunately.
  15. Blasto, I haven't brother. But, looks like a really cool spot. Might have to go visit.
  16. I'd like to add something here to my brothers and sisters on Taobums. Giving medical advice to someone with psychiatric disorders can cause a lot more harm than good if you aren't qualified. Please, be very cautious. You can really hurt someone if you're not careful.
  17. Reptilians?!

Taken from David Icke's Wiki... "many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie.[3]" NOT U2 Boxcar Willie! Nooooooo! ROFL
  18. Diet for enlightenment?

Thanks for all the ideas! One thing I did notice. A few years back I went vegetarian for just one month. I'm not sure if it was just a mental thing or what but I was much calmer.
  19. Diet for enlightenment?

Oh, yeah Non I've actually read up a bit on that. I'm a little hesitant though because I heard it has some side effects like loss of sex drive. Which for a middle aged guy can be a risk in itself already.
  20. MT

Hmmm Enlightened Music. I'd say out of the genres I listen to Trip Hop would be the closest... DJ Shadow-Midnight in a Perfect World
  21. Homosexuals attacking Taoism on FB

This guy isn't real. This is trolling. Not at its finest. Stereotypical name, trying to incite rage, not knowing the basics of a belief system yet acting like someone who defends said system etc etc.
  22. Dangers of atheistic thinking

Infinity, it started off as an answer to you. After the first paragraph it was all about me. I hadn't realized how deep that wound is. Also, sorry if it seemed like a scathing attack on you. Have a good one
