No, the healing circle is for requests for healing, main discussion is fine for this sort of thing.

No, CowTao, no need for apology at all. You call it separation (in this instance at least), I see it as deep integration, deepest harmony, oneness, to me it means no separation. Taoists like to go into the body very deeply. It is Ken Cohen's deep relationship with his body that allows him to maintain harmony of body-mind despite bones turning to dust in his body. It is also his deep relationship with the big dipper etc, because he knows his body is one with the cosmos and that wider reality is felt profoundly. His connections are so wide and deep that he has no need of separation. This is just an example of a Taoist way of looking at it. It is very beautiful and wonderful to me. The difference is terminology we use just reflects our areas of interest and practice, and is not the slightest cause for offence. Taoists dont focus on letting go of atachments, they focus on building up oneness with the cosmos, and our planet, and their own macrocosm. The attachment issue deals with itself, with no need of focus, as a side effect. Perhaps not quite on topic, sorry Tux.

CowTao, that isnt a big division between mind and body in that guy, it's Mastery, which is much, much, more of a deep harmonising than separation. Ken Cohen said that according to his X Rays there is no way he could have mobility, he 'should' be in a wheelchair. I have sprained my ankles a lotta times too , I know the pain and duration of sprains varies enormously, and acupuncture is fab, as is EFT, and frozen peas...

I got a ripped ligament in the sole of my foot some years ago. When it happened it was like I was shot in the foot, I just fell down. The ankle got screwed up also, so the whole thing swelled phenomenally and turned ominous colours! It just took sooooooo long to not be swollen and painful, and it changed my foot and ankle into a different, damaged, less mobile set up. The pain deep in my foot didnt go away untill I met a powerful healer who did a total chi infusion job on me and the foot healed as part of that. Deep damage needs deep healing. Something I am very aware of is that when I am in pain/physically damaged, my thinking function goes AWOL. So for me it isnt a time I could make decisions of much merit. So from my point of view, I'd go to a healer first, get balanced, and then once I am harmonious again, make some decisions about what to do in other areas of my life, like eating or not.. A damaged foot throws the body out of alignment to compensate, and in my experience, the mind follows suit. There is no division between body and mind. If you are getting a strong instinct for 'less' which your mind is responding to with the suggestion 'Fasting!'.. maybe consider what the 'less' urge could mean, in a 'less' way. ie in a less extreme way... because 'less' might be a helpful urge. But is it 'extreme less', or is that your habit of mind amping up the volume?

Lawrence Blair rather wonderfully filmed a Unicorn in one of his Indonesian adventures. Very touching creature. To the doubters :that numbers are qualities rather than mere quantites is hardly a radical new idea, surely?! I dont understand it, but I know that Mathematics is is a language of creation. The interplay of consciousness and numbers is as significant as anything else..

Hi Mel. My arms go up in the air, too. I dunno what is, it's something like receiving and being open. Embracing. I might be concerned if my legs start doing it too...

Ducks laughing is a great thing. They find stuff so funny, they just have to stick their heads in the water.

Astute perception on your part! What happens is that a fragile ego latches onto whatever it can , and slips into inflation. Inflation isnt confidence, it's puffed up-ness, which is actually in itself fragile, and therefore highly defensive and concerned with comparison with others, for it's boosting. Hope that makes sense. So you are noticing - it sounds like - your ego resorting to inflation, instead of your ego building strength. So to build strength in your ego you need to have a strong core of authenticity and a sense of your own values stemming from your own experiences, not from what you have heard from other people or just learned from books. And there will be no defiance in this or need to put others down for their difference from you. It is like the difference between intelligence and knowledge. In early stages, one comes from within, one from without. Ego can come from within ( strong) or without ( weak). Ego strength comes from a deep place within, where you are satisfied that you are essentially ok, and you know that others are also ok. Not better than you. Not worse. You dont have to be the same or different to others, it doesnt matter. The theory of Transactional Analysis is very clear on this, you might find interesting to get a clear sense of what a strong ego is like as opposed to the kind of ego that That Guy mentions. A couple of TA classics are "I'm OK , you're OK." ( dated now but still key) and "Games people play". I dont know if you have read any Carl Rogers. "Way of Being" might be of interest to you , it makes it clear how we need Congruence, Core Values, and Unconditional Positive Regard, toward ourselves and others. It is basically a manual of how to have a healthy ego. Just a few thoughts.

This is a really good point. You can 'kickstart' your proccess this way. However homeopathy will bring up issues, whether physically or emotionally, and they will be part of the process of fog dispelling. While in the process of unravelling the issues, it's useful to have tools. Taoist 'turning stress into vitality' tools are great, and there are others you can learn on youtube, like EFT. EFT is a tool you can easily learn which will readily help shift the stuff that homeopathy brings to the surface. it is a great tool for anyone, and especially profound for a seeker who can get fast evidence of how much 'reality' is unconscious conditioned, it will give you proof that so many of our physical symptoms and emotional complexes are reflexes of conditioning. Even the most basic 'physical' pain can be profoundly disapeared with EFT, if you google it you will find he endless amount of proof from people who were amazed to discover that their suffering was a reflex of what Tolle calls their 'pain body'... we expect pain and condition ourselves to perpetuate it, EFT blows the lid off this literal way of viewing the body, and the 'work ethic' point of view that assumes much hard work is needed to shift stuff. I read a book recently that has become a best seller for those with chronic pain, it's called The Mind/Body Prescription by John Sarno. "the author reveals how the emotions act on the brain to produce physical ailments and offers a therapeutic program focusing on reducing negative feelings." The lack of division between mind/body is becoming more recognised, in a more sophisticated way than "oh, that must be psychosomatic, take a valium" type thing. EFT is a tool which can easily help dispel, for example, negative feelings toward a parent..because any feeling which gets backed up in your emotional body can be shifted through this method. This isnt to say that it is process free.. it's likely that a lot of grief and anger - or whatever- will fall out when you begin tapping. Just depends if you can bear to have it fall out, witness it, feel the pain, and then discover the next layer underneath. Ouchy!
