That looks like a really interesting and useful book. I was thinking in the past few hours about this kind of thing, thanks for posting about it Blasto. I am completely in the dark about how one can do practices without emotions coming up. It doesnt seem possible to me. Today I was thinking here we go.. I'm looking at one of these, do I have to do anything, or just keep on looking..and I have done this sooo many times before, you'd think it'd get easier.. I guess I have tools, but man..

What I find so enticing about men is that they gear their entire existence around the cost of curtains. what's not to love, aint it.

Hello Fat. my response is : Do Something. Preferably Do Something Constructive. Anything that you dont find desperately nauseating. And through doing it, you will find out who you are and what you want and are good at etc. Begin, and Continue. Otherwise you might just stagnate. Like an ole pond. Work in a bookshop. Or a hospital. Or in a park. Or a cafe. Go to a poetry reading, a martial arts class, do tai chi in the park, grow some vegetables. In other words, start trying stuff. Whichever thing makes you feel less despondent or more energised, is a clue to follow it further to see where it leads. Sometimes you have to wander about a bit, or a lot, before finding your bliss. Not many people find it on the sofa. Actually it is pretty good on the sofa, with the right person, so scratch that last one. Good Luck, Fat.

Men take longer to mature emotionally than women - is it true? Men lose their vitality before women do - is this true? If these things are true, then men have a much shorter window of Full Monty ( speaking technically) than women. If their window is shorter, why would/could this be so?

Hi. I'm happy for my ppf to stay where it is. When I look at the place to find it amongst all the names, it's greyed out and always in the same place, so it's easy. When I come to the board I click on 'find new posts' so I dont have to go looking to see if anyone has added anything.. Maybe it'd be good board feng shui, though, to do some clearing. But living amongst ghosts is fine by me. They were here, and now they've gone, just like the leader of the pack. vroom, vroooom.

There might be something to it. But you dont need it, Mikaelz. You could look at the ingredients of each elixir, google an image of the gemstone involved, and mediate upon that gem being on your relevant body point. Same same.

Question About Supporting My Nephew's Catholic Upbringing
三江源 replied to RyanO's topic in General Discussion
Hi Ryan. This is a good bit! It's good that he knows that belief is optional, and that there are alternative versions of everything, ideas wise. My children had/ are having a C of E education at school and are utterly in a scoffing state of unbelief about it all because their teachers know nothing of shamanism or taoism, and make them sing songs they find meaningless all the time,( hymns!) so have lost all credibility as sources of information for them. As I understand it, the worst thing about catholicism as an education is that it leaves a tendency toward guilt. Who knows, maybe having to live with guilt will be a spur for him to shake free of it and find freedom, a greater freedom than one who didnt have that spur. We just dont know. Anyhow, he is lucky to have you as an uncle and just your being and what you are available to talk about will be a window to a wider reality. Interesting that TS Eliot and Graham Green and others chose catholicism as their faith. There is obviously a lot of meat in it for some. I remember loving singing certain christian hymns as a child like "Glad that I live am I" : Glad that I live am I; That the sky is blue; Glad for the country lanes, And the fall of dew. After the sun the rain, After the rain, the sun, This is the way of life, Till the work be done. All that we need to do, Be we low or high, Is to see that we grow Nearer the sky. also this one : All things bright and beautiful Refrain: All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colours, He made their tiny wings. Refrain The purple-headed mountain, The river running by, The sunset and the morning, That brightens up the sky; Refrain The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one; Refrain The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows for our play, The rushes by the water, To gather every day; Refrain He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well. My point being that children move toward that which resonates with them.. so trust in him. And.. you have my sympathies! -
Yes, TianShi, your input is good and crunchy. Thanks. (I'm trying to learn more about the I Ching.)

Promiscuity ..hmmm, have you thought about just finding one older woman you really like and being her regular road escort? You might find it more rewarding.
-
Congratulations Stig, to both of you. Lovely to hear of your happiness.

I would think that the big draw back to having a relationship with an older woman is that you might not anymore prefer younger women.

Nice one.

Well that's something to look forward to then..

Well I know when I take green powder I feel more alkaline,I feel MUCH better, it is a palpable feeling. I do take vinegar tablets every day, but adding green powder helps a lot. Being acidic is horrible, actually, it really does bad things to everything, one's body and mood. I think we have to counteract the acidity we put into our bodies, or rather, the acidity we create in relation to what we put into our bodies. So If I eat too much chocolate I'll eat a scoop of Umebushi to 'neutralise' and rebalance. For me it is a feeling thing, in the body, as I know so little about science that I cant even pretend on the internet.

yeh! Graveyards are great, I love them. Meditate there, of course. Eat Pizza there too. The dead are just us, a bit further down the road.

Well, ok, I'm not going to come up with anything in this post. I just wanted to contribute..

Could you say what it is that gives you the experience that they are entities, other than projected parts of you/your energy? Anyway, I think you have the answer "The more I give them positive energy, the more of the same I have..".. in which case the issue is your limitation clause. ie. What arent you willing to give, and why arent you willing to give it... might be a useful question for you.
