  1. Kundalini

yes, can be both. depends upon where one is at.
  2. Thankyou for your answer, YaMu. Perfect sounding practice. well, perhaps the England People will get it together.. I look forward to it.
  3. Too right, wizard. Thankyou for bringing up the importance.
  4. Ya Mu, I am wondering about something here, and it is to do with the effect of the practice - stillness movement - on the person practicing it. I understand you are charging up for healing by doing it, and I am wondering about the deeper, enduring effects on the spiritual state of the practitioner. Are you able to speak of that aspect of your system? I'd love to know. If I was in the USA I would be at your door for training like a shot.
  5. Having children and reincarnation

I dont feel this at all. I feel it is something to do with having a huge amount to give. And then some more to give. Hagar got it right. Except I'd add that I feel it is a huge massive priveledge to have children, to get the chance to feel that much love in one's heart, for life.
  6. It is something to do with the place from which you have the desire, yes. I think, at least as I see it, that this means that you dont neccesarily have the 'opposite' view, de_paradise. To me what you are saying isnt polarised to the 'cannot find if you seek' view, but a qualification to it. Being in a position to actually have a deepest desire from deep inside your heart and to be able to connect to that consistently, means you have arrived somewhere already..... somewhere from which seeking is already a particular kind of seeking, a deep kind, neccesarily pure, by virtue of the place of origin. What about seeking from a place further back, a place further away from the level of contact and depth that you are referring to. In that case, seeking can be obstructive because it is an ego need, reinforcing the ego, perpetuating a habit of acquisition and classifying and measuring. Can be. Might not be. Depending on the individual. At the moment I feel on a bit of a quest here on tabums about heart. Am I imagining it, or is it somewhat overlooked here, perhaps just because we are online, I dont know. Anyway. I like and admire your distinction, thankyou.
  7. Kundalini

It is a great relief to be in the presence of someone who really feels this about the issue between understanding and describing and the corruption/denigration that takes place in that process. Thankyou for your great articulacy and sharing, Susan, and for your pushing me forward into studying further the Void, and for voicing so much so that I feel happy that it is truly a shared experience. I am so happy that you, and Santi, are here. You are a great blessing. Your posts here are really really really helpful on many levels, not least on a kinship level. I think I'll go get half a dozen oysters for lunch!
  8. Kundalini

ShaktiMama, thankyou for those links and the information. It is the same Crone that I am familiar with from Jungian psychology... interesting to have a psychological archetype represented within the energy system in this way.. is there an equivalent colour manifestation for the Wise Old Man? I am reading about the void and am interested in this aspect which I havent before considered : so practically speaking the void is an element... I experience the void as.. well... I guess I stayed in that space.. perceived it and didnt think about it , because, well.. what's to think?! it voids thought, it is a place devoid of thought 'about' ... yet "Mentally and emotionally it represents our creative nature'.. and is "represented by our ability to think and communicate with others." Very helpful, thankyou..
  9. Kundalini

Good, yes, thankyou. For me sometimes the colours appear in sequences, and are really really super bright , much more vivid than one could ever see with physical eyes. If you feel like telling us more about Void or Crone, that would be fantastic.
  10. Kundalini

The colours are the effects one sees at different points.. sometimes red, sometimes blue, sometimes white, or violet, and a sparkly deep black. Although I havent personally experienced white. These are the effects of the energy movement. This is how I understand it.. I have not actually known what I was seeing - dont ask me why - when surely I could have googled it... but Susan explains what is causing the colours, what is going on at that time of that seeing. I used to get a violet opening appearing , and I asked my then teacher about it, I said "I dont know what it is" and he replied "I do" but he wouldnt tell me what it was, just said "Go through it". Sometimes it is nice to know what one is going through... which is why we are grateful to Susan. I dont think Susan is equating effects with K itself itself, rather describing what can ocurr as it moves. I am of course happy to be corrected if I am wrong here.
  11. A Brief Introduction

Hi there. Well done for figuring out so much about how you feel. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your findings when you feel able. I'm going to tell you a couple of things I have done for myself which may or really may not be relevant to you.. if they are then hooray, if not, then pffft!!, move swiftly on... these things are really simple and quite amazingly effective, they are to do with thoughts and images arising, and you may well not have thoughts arising that perpetuate your state .. so.. the same technique may be applicable to a persistent psyche-soma response... one is a technique I got from a dream yoga book, which suggests that we regard daily life as a dream, this technique is to apply specifically to life problems that seem insoluble.. every time the issue arises in the mind, say to yourself 'it is just a dream'.. over a period of time, whatever was recurrently arising in the mind, gives up and goes away.. (like magic!) another technique like this which I employed super effectively was one I made up inspired by Richard Bandlers techniques for finding images of what you want to minimise/eradicate about your behavior/thoughts, and shrinking them visually so that they become very small, removing the colour from them so that they become sepia, and turning any volume down on them so that they are silent. What I did, was see the image of what I needed to be free from, and see it dematerialise, turn to dust and blow away in the wind. I did this repeatedly and a very very longstanding issue just stopped being an issue, surprisingly quickly. I guess it is mind training. I had no idea it was fast and effective. This may not be relevant to you because you may not have any thoughts to deal with, but instead have the residual issue of the forehead etc.. in which case you may be able to get an image for the physical stuckness and dissolve it .. or you may be able to work on dissolving the original trauma if you have recall of it. Another very helpful body -mind technique is EFT, google Gary Craig. The techniques are on youtube. Acupressure is also great, it's something we can do for ourselves. Anyway, I'm in danger of writing an essay here.. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum!
  12. How can I increase my learning capacity ?

Ginseng , Theanine , and plenty of good nutrition. When I had a lot of revision to do I found I got very hungry and very sleepy, too. So I used to do cooked lunch and then a sleep. My working day was longer this way, but much more powerful. Also, the most effective revision is the first ten minutes, and the last ten minutes. The brain recalls these parts of a task the most. Because of this I'd work in twenty minute slots. Get up, stretch, have a glass of water, get some fresh air, dance around, whatever, every twenty minutes. You also may not be aware what part of the day is your optimal one for mental activity. I found that actually although I love sleeping in, the most effective part of the day for me to retain information was the early morning, about 5.30 - 8. 30. It may be worth paying attention to what part of the day is your most alert time, and saving trickiest topics for that time. Learn the art of precis, so that your summaries become super condensed, and your notes are made up of key words that create spider maps in your mind. Most of all, cultivate a great love of your subject, and have fun with it all, the very best of luck!
  13. Kundalini

    no sweat, Kate.
  14. Kundalini

    Thanks for the tip.
  15. Kundalini

Thanks jK. Evidently I have some problem(s) I am not aware of. Thankyou for pointing them out. I can only hope someone one day figures out what your problems are and points them out to you.
  16. Kundalini

It's great to have you here Susan, thankyou for sharing with us. And thanks everyone. Ok, I've gone into thanking mode.. that's all I have to say!
  17. Kundalini

I'm completely sure it isnt, Yuanqi. I was glad to see what Susan wrote for selfish reasons. As for Eviander, we have no idea what other presupposing factors s/he may have, so I dont make any assumptions one way or the other, not at all. I am all for practising and not very in favour of trippin as a habit.
  18. Kundalini

  19. ha, yes so you know all about it. I asked just because I opened this thread to mention it.. that chasing orgasms might not be the thing, after all. I'm just finishing reading it and am pondering it. I'm kind of amazed that it should be neccesary to tell people that they need to be physically affectionate, as this is a bonding behavior which promotes wellbeing and closeness........well,duh! I have a friend who I think was quite happy being monogamous but whose wife wanted to lead toward polyamory, which is quite threatening to a monogamous person, and after reading that book I think it is because he has a mild form of autism that means he doesnt read signals well, and that actually his wife is craving someone who can 'read ' her, and who doesnt think sex is paint by numbers job. So, yes, ah marketing, which has made people think that orgasm is the pinnacle of meaningful intimate contact. The repercussions are phenomenal.
