I wrote to Kip, because I have been listening to the clips of "The Calling' on his site, and getting shaktipat from them. I know lots of members of this board are interested in receiving shaktipat. I have been playing these clips on Kip's site as often as I can, over the weekend, because they palpably create heightened ecstatic conductivity in the body and the mind feels magnetically drawn to stillness. I did my spontaneous qigong practice to Kips music and it was supercharged! It was more like practising in a room with a group and a high level teacher. Very helpful particularly as I dont am a solo practitioner. Really wonderful. A different type of Meditation cd indeed, thankyou for bringing to our attention, ToP-fan. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

I dont want goldisheavy to leave the forum, it wouldnt be doing me a favour. I only just read your posts, goldisheavy, I have missed the threads that you have posted in, previously. So I did a search on your handle yesterday and really enjoyed reading what you have to say. I like the way you are cutting through our treasured beliefs and asking if they are just delusions. And they are, so often. When we ourselves fetishise our experience and knowledge, or we see others doing so, then it is something that should be naturally offensive to us. Too much investement into experiences and beliefs that we stick onto us like carbuncles, and we sell this image to the world.. I am this, I do this, this is me... pah. Falsity and construction. I also would like to learn what the poster who opened this thread has to teach. But I havent learned anything from him so far, because his tone was such that I wandered away without finishing reading. I lost interest because.. well.. it has been expressed clearly by 5elTao.

Hello chi rises up the spine. yang. falls down the front of the body. yin. the circuit of these two channels is called the microcosmic orbit. the lowest meeting point is the perineum. the highest is the crown. So circulating the chi in this circuit is a good thing. the chi will rise up and through the channel in the back of your neck, up the back of your head, across your crown, and flow down your front, feeling cool. your spine may feel hot. all this is fine. do a search on 'microcosmic orbit' to find out more! good luck, enjoy!

Sorry hyok, I've read enough of their books and watched enough of their films and had it tried on me enough to have seen how sad it all is and be bored of the endless self justifications they delude themselves with. For me, conversation about it has been had too many times. Just expressing my own opinion, ya know.

Just popping my head in to say that I am an older of this board and I expect to be very respected. Just want to make this really clear. In case anyone wasnt quite clear. I hope I have made myself clear. And that you respect me for that. natch.

Hi Mark. Welcome to taobums. Your training has been interesting! Thai Forest monks sounds groovy! I have the 3rd eye book from clairvision and have been experimenting with their virtual astrologer, which is great. I'd love to more about your work with them.

We dont know what of our pain is unnecessary, that simply isnt something we can know. We can do EFT, though. so that our own thoughts and channels are uncluttered. So that we are a clearer vessel. Good luck to pranaman, and all of us. xxx

Of course she is a beautiful soul! I dont doubt it at all. She is a young woman, at the sipping and tasting stage of her life when she feels driven and compelled towards sexual experiences as bees feels drawn to flowers. No doubt she also loves you, and is torn in two, with quite conflicting drives to deal with. My suggestion is that you do some EFT on your painful feelings, pranaman. It is an inevitable part of life to have a broken heart at some point, it is a crucial part of L'Education Sentimentale. We wouldnt be initiated into adulthood without experiencing betrayal... our innocence simply has to be challenged. Read Grimms Fairy Tales... we have to grow up, and it hurts. The challenge is to retain open heartedness and not ossify or take the rigid road of becoming judgmental and cold and self protective. Your pain will be eased a lot by using EFT. It will mean you dont have to experience it longer than you organically need to. You may or may not resonate with the work of Byron Katie, you can find her work on YouTube.. she would say that your girlfriend is utterly perfect as she is - becuase the world is perfect - and your problem lies within you for expecting her to be what she isnt right now, and so you need to revise your thinking patterns, for it is your thinking that is causing your grief, not your girlfriend who is so beautifully being true to herself. Hey ho .. good work to be done.. good luck. xxx cat

Have you thought about just intuitively picking a point on the body, calling it your 'assemblage point' if that is the term you like, and having the intention to empower it with your various levels of awareness and focus.

Craig..re. I would not go so far as to say visualization is a foundation practice. Well, it indisputably is a foundation practice. It isnt the one and only foundation practice. You wouldnt need to throw out breath or structure and exclusively visualise. There are foundation breath practises and foundation structure practises. Of course there are very advanced meditations in which visualisation is absolutely key to the process, and it is very powerful.. but at that time the body/mind division permeable and fluid, and a state of body mind resonance is on hand without much preparation. Teaching women's practises, as I have done, visualisation is the way in for women to even make a mental link with their ovaries, for example. Same with organ work. ( Visualise your liver, breathe into it.. etc.. how would you make a connection with your liver without visualising it first? ) After visualising, and then breathing, a conscious chi connection will be awakened. Hopefully. The fact is a lot of people are kinaesthetically weak and that awareness is a hard slog to get to. This is hard to realise for those of us for whom kinaesthetic experience of chi easily flows. It is possible also to feel chi from doing chi kung and not visualising at all. Although of course we have Buddy to prove to us that this is not always the case. I also have friends who have done tai chi for I dont know how long, and dont feel chi. Then again, I met people at HT retreats who appeared to be having a great time, but werent feeling chi.. they were still 'visualising'.. I would have been happier if those people who were still in a state of no palpable state of chi sensation, would have had some assistance with other means to shift them forward into their bodies more. That was presumably 'covered' by the active chi gung methods that were taught alongside the seated meditation. It is true also that some people do a lot of work with breath, structure, and visualisation.. and dont feel anything. This is where there are ingrained blockages which we would believe that long term chi gung practise would solve. I can sympathise with your initial sense that " you can help someone feel his own Qi quite easily".. and taking that initial feeling further, building it into a consistent sense which can be utilised reliably, is a whole other ball game. However, more generally speaking, I'm not here to sell anything to anyone. if you dont like visualisation, dont do it, and ideally dont diss those that do, is all. baby, bathwater.

Visualising is a foundation practice. It is far from worthless, it is useful. If however, you are still 'only' visualising after some considerable time, an intervention of some kind would be needed to shift the situation into something more palpable being experienced.

Okay James, thankyou. I saw it differently having read your post. I see already the point about how we need the compassion and wisdom not to kill. But it was the logistics of each individual having the ability to wipe out the species that I wondered about. The fact is each of us could throw bombs or destroy our neighbourhoods, already. but we dont. Most people dont act out their hatreds with the violent means that they already have available to them. Oh, hold on.. lots do... Most of us have already passed this test. hmmmm.... okay.... I get the point. Too many of us havent. Thinking about it..
