Coping with major energy changes - How do I?
三江源 replied to MASTERforge's topic in General Discussion
I remember saying to my first teacher, about how incredibly sexual this work was, and why isnt anybody saying so? He laughed, and said "they are all feeling it, but they dont say it..... why you think all those monks are so happy?!" the fact is, it is a huge job for males to learn to contain the energy and many teachers/people dont manage it and become a bit obsessed with acting out their need for sexual gratification. this is one of the reasons why this stuff has been secret before.. -
Coping with major energy changes - How do I?

hi. I'm a woman, twenty years older than you, and I get extremely intense build up of energy that feels like only a bagful of orgasms would help sort out. several things come to my mind... one is, I have learned to live with a feeling of being very aroused without doing anything about it. and to appreciate that my battery is buzzing like crazy. this is retraining one's approach to one's energy, and be less 'doing' about it, and more 'being' with it. I've become a very strong container. The other thing is, of course, you learn to use the energy to circulate and meditate and work with. And that is great stuff. I like feeling very alive and vibrant in this mode. I've reframed it. hth! -
HA! I LOVE MG and I LOVE CG, so that made me happy. thankyou.

zombie nation. this thread makes it vivid to me how easy it is to be a zombie. it's contagious. Your focus on the female formless awareness and energy exchange, in this board of questions, is to me like soul food... I check into this thread and it's still here.. you're still communicating.. it's becoming part of me. I'm really appreciating the continuity.

I really dont think is a neccesary polarity to set up. Who knows where and when each individual can learn about death, or life, or anything, given half a chance. There's room under the sun.

He has a great transmission, for a robot. what've you got against robots, anyway?

I went to see this exhibition and it was stunning and very memorable and wonderful, and very strange too.

I read Drew's posts. I also look up the books he refers to and have just bought a book he discussed here in this thread. I'm not impressed with the jibing at him. I am impressed that he doesnt jibe back.

Hi there. Everything in the body breathes. Everything breathes. (Walls breathe, for example.) Noticing it becomes normal, when you are a practitioner of energy work. You will get used to seeing and feeling new things. I remember seeing everything green in nature, as actually being gold. Lots of fun stuff.

There's no need to succumb to self doubt/self consciousness and allow it to paralyse you. If you feel a spontaneous movement coming, allow it to pass through you and never mind what prompted the feeling, as the spontaneous movement is nothing to get attached to anyhow. Just stay with the process of doing your practise and try not to get too caught up in the "narrative of events" that unfold during a session. imho.

thanks sean, I will have fun with with that folder. bliss and insight practise, yes, got it. bliss is not so great if you dont get all the other stuff too, I tend to take that for granted and forget the fact of it. being blissed out isnt the point we're heading for. in the right context, however... I think of it as an experience which works to loosen bonds of identification with the transient. I guess all this is very subjective.

Sean< I'd love to look in your bookmarks folder, you find the coolest stuff. thanks for this link. I've never heard of Daniel Ingram. I just listened to some of his interviews _ he says his daily practise when he sits will be like 20 mins of dark night and 10 mins of equanimity.... ? makes me wonder.... because we Taoists get a lot of bliss, dont we? Maybe that is a new thread/poll.. I'd been assuming everyone gets a lot of bliss with the practises we discuss here..

I love 1-3pm. It feels like a clear calm time for me.

Hi rain. I know some people who have done time in TaoGardens Dark Room. You get a fair amount of tuition and guided meditation, a lot of group companionship, and great food, apparently! From what I have heard it is very safe and you are well looked after, and can even go out sometimes when it is dark, to see the stars. Obviously how far you go internally, is dependant on the individual...it's an ideal situation in which to see 'visions"! Have fun.

This is absolutely spot on, Karen. It's the leaky vessels that need the sealing 'rule' so that they are able to learn containment. Once containment and ego immaturity/energy loss through blabbing/envying others etc is not an issue, then hopefully discernment can have some firm soil in which to root. This is why it's pretty safe to tell people "Dont Talk!" because those with discernment are unlikely to, and the others need to learn to stop with the oversharing, already. The payoffs of sharing versus the losses from not hearing other people's experiences.. well... we have a fair amount of texts, methinks, and our teachers to ask. And ultimately it is our own experience which is our guide.
-
I think sharing something before it is fully processed and resolved, is a loss. unsealing the vessel means cooking ( ie transformation) doesnt happen. I dont mind telling stuff, years later, when it is fully integrated. this doesnt apply to practise details, physical symptoms, etc. What I find surprising is that there are those who dont instinctively keep the lid closed when it needs to be. I'm not sure how to go about mending a leaky vessel, I think that is a subject in itself. You have to wonder WHY people are prematurely sharing, and WHY they are unable to contain their experience. Then work from whatever the answers are.

I have experienced this many times, Oolong. My energy attracts things which divert me from my intention. Every time, I'm like a child being shown a pretty toy.

Dont think so, seadog. It's easy enough to not want and to not get. Agree with you guys, nice abundant clean energy is attractive. Definitely.
