Really? I think that what OP describes is not ideal at all. Energy definitely needs to be refined before reaching the brain. I have not heard of what you are describing.. getting ill from energy work.. fatigued, cold, hot, moody,erratic, as channels clear and stabilise, yes. Colds and flu? No. I have had flu from cupping treatment a long time prior to beginning energy work.. a detox symptom. Energy work should boost your immune system so you dont get colds. Has anyone else here experienced colds and flu from practice?

Salient point. Those practises are great for cooling, clearing and setting positive virtues as the focus. ... purification itself is more often than not a rocky road in itself. One finds oneself amplified. it can be rocky internally, or, if one acts out the inner amplifications, rocky externally. ie easy to be argumentative, volatile, and of course just generally 'charged up'. This is where it is useful to know about alchemy, about sealing the vessel, about not dispersing the fires that burn. Otherwise one will not cook/transform.

dawei is right about consciousness and te being the key factor. The lower dt relates to this as your gut brain. Part of alchemical training is getting out of your head brain and down to your gut brain. ie Sink being the continuous imperative.. sink your consciousness into your ldt. I'm also very aware of the two different energies in the two sides of my body and how much the yang tries to dominate the yin.. I think this is behind the Donna Eden exercise of drawing the figure 8 across your centre line daily as an energy balancer. And if I remember correctly M. Winns form "Gods Play in the Cauldron of Original Chi ' targets this issue very specifically, of balancing the two sides. All forms include it of course. The figure 8 drawing is a distillation of it. Yes, the third force in the marriage is primordial.

well, the book I quoted from is Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy.. the forward to it is a glowing testimonial from M. Chia , who calls E. Yudelove a Tao Master and the book a Taoist Masterpiece. Thanks Friend, for your input. what you say corresponds with

smugness, complacency around people in the way you describe.. the antidote is not doubt, but engagement. doubt is not the opposite of disengagement. maybe curiosity, wanting to feel contact. If we are not engaged with one another... it is because we are not being creative in our relationship with being alive. This is an energetic stagnancy. More of an issue for me is coming across unwillingness to engage authentically.. that results in apathy on my part. When one is just shown an image of the person instead of the person themselves.. as if they are standing in front of one, but holding up a photograph of themselves. then one either has to decide: play the game of inauthenticity, ie make the transaction symmetrical, or try to break through the facade, or just yawn.

For me I feel heart fire very distinctly, and heart love very distinctly, and solar plexus as quite distinct again, a very different energy altogether. I actually had a huge release of heart fire when I first opened the MCO and had excess heat in my heart centre which I had to purge a lot of. I am quite a fiery person though. The fire element is very strong in me so I am very aware of it. I'm not trying to "convince you otherwise".. at all...I'm just interested in the topic.

M. Chia So the distinction between the functions of thymus gland specifically, in relation to the heart centre isnt something I have really focused on before. "The heart is the body's main store house for the fire element.. the heart/fire collection point is located in the centre of the chest, in the area of the thymus gland, aprox in the middle of the sternum.. the thymus gland also corresponds with the fire element..it expands and seems to flower/blossom when energy is drawn into the heart/fire collection point which surrounds it. jack, I know what you mean about moving your awareness about in different parts of the brain and getting different results. I get voices and snatches of conversation, dont know who I am hearing, it all seems pretty inconsequential. Sometimes, though, I hear everything, like people sighing as they walk by in the street outside my house.. heightened hearing. think is just frequencies shifting around, sense heightening.
