I am unwilling to watch this. Visually moribund, vocally automatonic, scriptwise trite. Could you please use words, perhaps write some sentences, to make your point?

"strange ideas like "it's the journey, not the destination man".... why is this a 'strange idea'?

Yes, what is distracting is that the guy doing it has an abrasive would - be comedic style. I have seen healing treatments like this, yes. I would say Dirk Oellibrandt does treatments like this but he has a very caring style and there is an atmosphere of heart and respect, but yes, people moaning and writhing etc. Also I have seen chi transmission via sword fingers result in releasing blockages in the same kind of way but instead of groaning being the expression, the energy is encouraged to flow via movement and noise, so a person might find themselves crawling around and barking etc.

Yes, absolutely. When people talk about 'destroying the ego' they really just mean releasing overweening unconsciousness and lack of heart. Actually it is interesting how antagonistic people can get towards "ego" when it doesnt do what their ego wants.

hey you all. Who is it that knows what balance and maturity in any given situation at any given time actually is? What are the qualities that could be encompassed by 'balance' and 'maturity'... how about huge irreverence, surreal jokes, stunned silence, tersity.... are these part of balance and maturity? How about testiness, humorlessness, preciousness, pomposity... do they have a place? How do we know? Throw rhetorical questions in there somewhere, alongside literal mindedness, plus some cynicism, assumption making, accusatory high mindedness.. It's a stew of possibilities. how do we know if we are being 'mature' and 'balanced'? Is it when we feel that we are a glass of water, essentially, clear as a bell? So that we respond from a fresh clear openness? Or ..what?! Is it an externallly imposed standard or an inner stance?

Yes indeed. Good point. What is this experience? Some kind of betrayal. There is the mother archetype which nurtures, and the father archetype, which betrays. The mother nurtures you so you can grow, the father betrays so that you will no longer depend upon others.

I really by far preferred what steve said. It was so nice and simple and spacious.

Friend is correct about the human predisposition to register far more strongly the negative than the positive. I have wondered about this in the past, and the closest I can come to understanding it is that it is a primitive mechanism embeded into human physiology. If we see an animal twenty times and s/he ignores us, or is friendly, all well and good. But if on the 21st time, that animal goes to attack us, we know that we are not always safe with that animal, we must forever be on our guard. It is a survival mechanism. The memory of the one attack day must be vividly retained, it is 'more important' than the 20 non - attack days, from a life and death point of view. Our adrenal system embeds the memory very deeply for us.

Recently I got to speak with an enlightened master and ask what enlightenment is.

Pretty off topic... but would like to ask you something about cinnamon if I may. I read the other day about a cancer killing remedy: drop cinnamon bark oil tsp cinnamon tbsp raw honey cancer loves sugar, so the cancer cells quickly absorb the sugar in the honey, but with it they take the super powerful cinnamon bark oil, which is antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, anti - everything, plus the cinnamon powder. As soon as the cinnamon gets in the cancer cells alongside the sugar, it kills what is feeding off it. It has been found effective. But do you think this is too tough for a persons digestive system, for any length of time? What would be the possible side effects.. too heating? Maybe counter it with aloe? I'm interested. What is the pairing of cinnamon with salty about? Sounds delicious!

Friend is just speaking of widespread attitudes through Europe that are very well known in Europe. It isnt Friend's fault that German tourists have a bad rep. Stereotype, yes. Widely held sterotype. Interesting in and of themselves, such things. German tourists have a rep for being insensitive and territorial. re SUNBEDS! anti - social use of towels...

dwai, love your recipe! how about lightly stewed apple + cinnamon, and some raw honey added at the end, for dessert. cinnamon very warming and cleansing, raw honey just great for healing. ( Of course I would probably add calvados, but that's just me..)

Thanks for this very creative perspective, Mark.

Being reborn again and again with the man/woman of your dreams is a Curse..

I know some people who met their ideal partner at an early age and are spending a harmonious and productive life with one partner, it is rare enough in my world to be the exception rather than the rule, and I find it amazing and wonderful. If you think of Maslows hierarchy of needs.. then having found one's partner at an early age in life means that one isnt wasting a ton of time 'sipping and tasting' like Goldilocks, running around trying to get basic needs met... and so one can get on with evolving. -

Owledge, you are barking up entirely the wrong tree. Lots of us here have met YaMu and are aware on what level of consciousness he operates. Nobody who has such knowledge of him would agree with your hypothesis.
