  1. Spirituality and Religion

So many good things in religions. Have been downgraded by their inner teachings being externalised. The tendency we have to be literal in our understandings is the ongoing issue. morality equals teh, but considered widely to be externally imposed, in fact the practice of/internalisation of/deep realisation of said moralities create teh. the 'falsity' of morality can only be when it is not integrated with the inner being, when there is a split in the being between inner and outer. integration being the key.
  2. Idea for the TaoBums

Oh, I see. I was very unclear? I meant: I agree with Encephalon. Many of the so designated 'top 20' threads could be irrelevant to a lot of us. I dont agree with the idea of hierarchy of threads. Apologies for my ellipticalism. The egocentric joke thing, I thought, was a shorthand way of pointing out the faulty structure of the idea posed by the thread. ho hum.
  3. Idea for the TaoBums

This kind of thing. Dont agree with the idea of such classification.

  7. sleeping qigong/shui gong teachers in USA?

Gilles Marin is excellent. ( btw he's HT trained like Michael Winn. )
  8. Flexing your Pineal Gland

It isnt 'recommended' because generally speaking it isnt under conscious control or actually an option. At high levels of practice anything is possible, but it doesnt need to be "recommended" as the alchemy will run it's course and the stage - appropriate information will download. I have heard the pineal can become visible via inner sight to the adept and can be as big as thumb pad, even. But these informations are not really much more than of cerebral interest or inspiration for most of us. The pineal and the pituitary are transformed by alchemy. Afaik, you dont need to think about doing anything 'yourself' unless your teacher advises you so. Bringing sky energy in through the crown is a common enough qigong and may be felt as you describe. Sometimes I feel the antennae from the top of my head going soooo high that I feel like I'm balancing a giant telegraph pole. I think it was Wong Kiew Kit who said that sending up this 'pole' and then asking a question, was a good way to access knowledge which felt unavailable. Interesting to try, perhaps.
  9. Mental Connections

I have heard it referred to as the Global Antennae. I heard when listening to Greg Braden years ago that all the technology that we currently have is the externalisation of technology that we actually have internally but have forgotten how to use, or been sabotaged out of. You didnt need the emails to be sent via the computers. You'd sent it quicker. Of course trying to do everything via the global antennae gets a bit tricky. I'm not sure which is trickier at this stage, using language, or the global antennae.
  10. blue sphere shower

Honestly, some people! You're funny! I've heard of it raining frogs, of course. He was left mystified. Love it. here is picture of mystification, for your delectation:
  11. sleeping qigong/shui gong teachers in USA?

Michael Winn teaches it. In person/group and I believe he has purchasable material on it.
  12. I think I've lost it

hA! what on earth happened to the pronunciation of 'ruined'?!?!? funny bizniz. that was interesting, thanks. They pronounce 'Flour' correctly! hank? how you get 'hank' from 'francis'?! whisky, yeh, I'll take that too, please.
  13. I think I've lost it

TM, I have a feeling you noticed I didnt say anything concrete about the implications of USAnian language usage. What with me an islander and all... Yes. I find it very alarming.
  14. I think I've lost it

Isnt it interesting?! We could compare language usage for hours, mYTHmAKER, we just need a nice bottle of wine and some Frank in the background.
  15. I think I've lost it

Another thing that Usanians say that Ukers dont is "you're funny", as a response to humour. That would be considered as epic fail, banterwise, here, to bring self consciousness into something flowing. FRANK!!! "too marvellous for words" is language I understand..
  16. I think I've lost it

nobody should ever bore a cat. heinous! Let's hope that the 'no way provided to say it' doesnt result in 'no way to think it' or worse, 'no way to perceive it'...
  17. I think I've lost it

One of the things I am puzzled by is what USAnians mean by 'too much'. I was told whilst there "you're too much!" and "too much fun". I'm non plussed as to what this could possibly, actually, mean. If 'too much' in USA currently equate to 'very' or 'a lot', and if so.. what is this expressing about their psychology that it is phrased in such a quantitative way which implies restriction is required or boundaries are being crossed, or.. something is in excess when it is bountiful. Poverty mentality? inhibited mentality? Or does 'too much' mean something else, like "I cant cope!"

  19. Shit New Age Girls Say

Yes, agree. At a tangent, but similarly devaluing of speech content : I just saw this video yesterday and wondered what is going on with these women who are speaking this way. Sounds to me as if is an alarming signal of distress.
