Yo homedogs, I'm here to learn about the Tao of Taoism!

kind of repulsive username, dude. -
Hi Angela, yes, we are all supernatural, but in fact the reason you could suddenly post is because you registered and then posted hello in the Lobby, and that is the magic protocol that the board likes, it's an 'open sesame' all of its own. Welcome to taobums, hope you have fun and all that kind of thing, here.

Yes, it could be a hoax and it's always a bit difficult to imagine, at least for me, what such a hoax is motivated by, unless it's just to open up imaginative capacity.. and then.. possibly.. to ridicule that opening up "ha h ahaaaa, you fell for it! " so that the imagination gets hurt. Some people call it 'toughlove' others call it 'sadism'... The holographic device idea is a possibility isnt it. Kinda mystifying though. Yeah! No need to believe or disbelieve, I do agree. It's nice not to feel addicted to taking a stance on everything, eh? Receptive awareness, with some playfulness thrown in, just as enjoyable as adding coconut cream to my coffee. Thankfully I dont care if my coffee is real or not, actually it isnt real coffee, as its made from cordyceps. But it is real coffee in the sense that I call it coffee and have it in the morning. heh! -
one of the great things about Finnegans Wake is you can say more or less anything you like about it and no one will ever argue. A genuine stream of consciousness thread here is elevating the creative qi of the board so that over-literalism runs for the well, after trying to throttle us all into submission, it jumps in cowering, having an identity crisis and finds a sleeping snake who isnt really 'sleeping' but only 'snake - sleeping' which means alert as can be, setting up a dream like dualism that makes wakefulness a mere doze. the snake eats the over-literalism, indigestible and untasty as it is, and the light above the well goes sparkly gold so that all the people who believe what they see are no longer in good relationship with their vision. those shouty american cartoons, I want to call it 'the watsons' but I dont think that is the right name, it's hugely popular but I cannot watch even 20 seconds of it because the voices are repellant and the visuals just so unpleasant. I'd really rather look at the poo and penii of gilbert and george, any day. including monday.

Like it! A slip in the fabric shows a parallel reality. Wouldnt it be amazing to look out your window and see a different scene?! Makes me have an attitude of gratitude immediately, for what I see out my window : the trees and plants, the people walking their dogs, and mothers with their children meandering along, chatting. Amazing clip, Jetsun...how you find it? -

Traditionally, in a spiral formation anymultiple of nine from 36 upwards, untill the collected qi is an infinitesimal dot in storage. Use breath sync and retention to pack and compress into bones etc. You should do with your teacher whilst learning it.

How to balance left and right hemispheres of brain?

ah well! then it needs no further recommendation! Thanks MyYTHmAKER. -
we just had the perfect taoist discussion.

BTW, Little1, my answer to the above is DROP EXPECTATIONS. As an addenda to that, drop the post mortems, too. The working up of experiences after the event, with inflated interpretations and lables is soooo counter productive.

Is it just the practical daoists here that appreciate concision?!

The very simplest thing you can do is to draw a number eight with an open palmed hand in front of yourself across your core channel, encompassing the region of your ldt and heart centre. There are lots of forms that work on this principle, but this method, from Donna Eden is the easy to remember, easy to do version. I enjoy hemi sync a lot. The Eden exercise if more effective and integratable into life. -
V. useful post, thankyou.
