Thanks, I'll check it out. I have cherokee blood in both my father and mother's sides of the family, and my grandma is an Osage. I'll ask her if she has heard of him, she has done some traveling, because she is an artist, so maybe she knows more.

My cell phone dialed a random number, which was real, and had a local phone number. The phone was in my coat pocket, and I looked at my caller id and was wondering what it was from, because I know I didn't call anybody. I just figured something was wrong with the phone. This could just be electronic error, but after you said something about it, it made me think.

East Coast Kunlun Workshop location brainstorm

Count me in too, what will it take to get this setup on the East Coast. If it needs more people I will try spreading the word.. Thanks, Ben -
http://www.damo-qigong.net/ They have a good explanation of this process and they have face to face training on the internal alchemy. I hope this helps, Ben

My advice is to just feel, don't try producing specific results, don't try moving specific parts of your body unless you are really stumped, just quiet your mind, get in the position and feel movement coming along, and feel yourself go with the flow. The shaking of the legs may happen on its own, or it may not. I imagine myself like a log in a river, going with the current. Or as a child I would swim in the water, and 'play dead' as the water drifted me around in certain positions and threw me around. it is something along those lines, just let it all go. I am no master, and take what I say with a grain of salt, I am only speaking through my own experiences and feelings. Ben

Bump for East Coast Kunlun Workshop. -
Has anyone here been successful with recapitulation? I have read all of the Don Juan books, and even the Taisha Abelar(sp?) and it describes different ways of recapitulation. One was to write people you have interacted with on pieces of paper and go to a dark cave area and fill the cave up with images of the exact scenes of being with that person, while gathering your energy back, and then burning the paper. I am wondering if anyone here has done this for a large amount of their life, and if they were able to gain that energy back that they spent in the past. I have only read it, and I have done small attempts at recapitulation, but haven't gone all out. Thanks, Ben

I do both. I will start off usually by imagining myself in the sky filling myself up with light when i breathe in, and exhailing the toxins when I breathe out. Then I will actually merge myself into that picture, and see the sky around me, sitting on the lotus, and doing the breathing as if I am actually there. I usually do the visualization 10 minutes before Kunlun, and 10 minutes after the resting part of Kunlun, for 20 minutes total. Ben

One of the main tricks to dreaming is to be very aware of your daily activities and cut out on the day dreaming. Try to walk around and pay full attention to everything, and also when you go to sleep at night, lay on your back and feel your heartbeat, and let your body fall asleep while retaining conciousness by paying attention to your heart beat, and you can just start dreaming with full control of your astral body . I am having the same kinds of needs for energy. My body craves sweets before Kunlun, and after Kunlun, my body requires another meal. I tried eating right before Kunlun, and then afterwards my belly was grumbling, even though I had just eaten. I used to fight with my fiance quite often, but I have yet to get in a fight with her since I've started Kunlun, mainly because I have no desire to fight, and when she gets angry with things, I immediately nullify the situation and make her smile and realize its silly to be angry over such things. Kunlun is helping me with relationships with all people, being able to get myself out of the traps people set for each other, and wake those up around me to see themselves getting trapped in ego's, anger etc.. Ever since I have started Kunlun, those around me are becoming more peaceful, just with my presence, maybe its because its the holidays, but usualy when I walk into a room and just smile at people, or goof around, the stress, and aggression just fades out. Love > Hate any day! Ben

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I have been very active, when I was growing up I played 3 sports every year, and as I got older, taller, and interested in computers, and video games, my posture has gotten a lot worse. I was 6'0 when I was 12 years old, and developed bad posture, for one, because I was always tilting my head down when talking to everyone else, and the other main reason is computers. I still am 6'0, I guess some people get their growth at different ages, I grew nearly a foot in one year, and I have stretch marks on my back from it, which doctors always thought was from gettin whooped by a whip Currently in my life, it has become so bad, it gets to the point, where my back will get tired when I sit straight, and I will feel pain, and be forced to slouch down in my seat again. My body has become physically adjusted to slouching. This only occurs when I am sitting down. The military has helped me with my posture while standing, which is one of the benefits of that, and to be honest, since I've been holding the Kunlun posture in the sitting position, my body feels more at ease while I am sitting down at work. I was sitting in my chair slouching over in a bad position while reading this post, and I was like "doh!", but yeah thanks for the post Ben

I notice that almost every day my palms have different lines, whether added, removed or changed, and I find it pretty interesting, I have heard about palm reading, but I just wanted to see if anyone else notices their palms changing often. Ben
-
I have never been to a palm reader, and I am pretty skeptical about palmistry, if thats what its called. I do notice that the lines on my hands change very often though, but before I started getting deep into spiritual practices, the lines were pretty much unchanging. After I got into spiritual stuff more is when the lines started popping up all over the place. It is kind of interesting, although I don't really see the practical use for it. I should be learning to cure cancer . Ben

my thoughts on the current political situation

I guess I will chime in on this one, I am a SGT in the US ARMY Reserves and have been overseas and I have seen a lot. I am looking from both perspectives, and I want to say this. In training, the Drill Sergeants will call the Middle Eastern people "hodgies" to give them a "non human" name. Some people buy into it, but the majority don't. Some people are blinded by their own ignorance and end up killing innocent people while they are overseas. A few bad apples should not describe a whole majority of people, although it can happen... The majority of soldiers I've had experiences with, just want to either help the people there, or go home to their families and get out of this stupid war. Most of the soldiers don't even realize what is going on, and are just regular people, confused, not wanting to injure anyone. Do not blame the soldiers for this madness, because, just like in any population, there are the ones who do harm, and the ones who want to just help others. I would like us to get out of there, but who knows what will happen then, will there be increased civilian deaths? Who knows? But I do know, that the Iraqi government needs to take back their country from the murderers. They have to make their country safe. Take it easy, Ben -
Wandering Taoist Link I ran across this surfing the web today, I am already interested in something else at this point, but I thought I would post it in case others may be interested. It talks about the Taoist Priesthood, and the different levels of accomplishment, and it guarantees results for those who want to see something happen right away. I haven't e-mailed him, nor been there, so take everything with a grain of salt, but it seems like something I would pursue more if I wasn't doing something else. Ben

Kunlun Nei Gung "100 Days" Support Thread
Ben Koontz replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
I just recently introduced my fiance that I am practicing Kunlun and do it every night for an hour without being disturbed, it is going to take time for her to be comfortable with me doing the upward draw technique. Eventually this will happen, but I don't feel like she is ready for me to do this yet. She is very understanding, but I need to ease her into it for now Ben -
Kunlun Nei Gung "100 Days" Support Thread
Ben Koontz replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
I am not attempting the 100 days of Kunlun, but have had over 200 days while I was deployed (yes it is different circumstances). All i can say is "Idle hands" will cause you to break your 100 days. I may be wrong, but most of the time, the urge will happen just before bed, or right at bed time, and when you wake up in the morning, also in your dreams.. What I did was I scheduled my workouts for 8:00 at night, and went home, took a shower and passed out in my bed. Keeping myself busy on other things kept the idea of sex out of my head, or I was just too tired, and NEEDED the energy and didn't want to waste it. Good luck to you all! I freakin wish I had access to Kunlun when I was deployed, having a fiance will make this "100 day" task rather difficult. -

How about: http://www.findthedivine.com/retreatcenter/phoenix/home.html I thought the Rising Phoenix was a little ironic . Doesn't look like a bad place.. thoughts? Ben -
The vibe that I'm getting from Kunlun is that people are becoming so excited about it, that they are constantly posting and praising it. It isn't really because the "cultish" attitude, I'm not really getting that kind of feeling from it, its more like abunch of little kids talking about how ninja turtles is the shit. Sometimes excitement can be misinterpreted into ego, or bragging. I myself am guilty of this at times, I will become so excited about something, people around me will think of me as a bragger etc.. Anyways, I have yet to go to a seminar, and only have been practicing for a week, so this is just what I feel for now. I haven't ran into anything quite like Kunlun in my life, because it is actually working, and working fast. I will stick to my guns on this, and I honestly cannot wait to go to a seminar. Ben

Pros and Cons of sharing spiritual experiences
Ben Koontz replied to Yoda's topic in General Discussion
I usually eat about 3 or 4 hours before practice, so thats not a factor. I'm 6'0 150-160 it varies depending on if its winter or summer. 24 yrs old. I'm not a big dude, I stay in shape because i'm in the military, so I'm forced to keep a very high level of fitness, pushups, 2 mile run, situps.. My metabolism is SOO fast, I can't ever seem to get passed 160 lbs, even with 4-5 meals, so that may be a factor too. But the burning off the blockages may be what is going on, because her side of the bed is dry, and I wake up and mine is full of stinky sweat. It's not fun having to wash my sheets almost every day . I really can't wait to go to a seminar, I'm excited to get a more experienced opinion on how I'm doing the posture, and I'd love to learn about standing Kunlun and Red Phoenix. I do 1 hour a day of Kunlun Level One, and I feel like I want something to do during the day at work. While I'm working I try to work on my concentration and work on quieting the thoughts that go into my head that are ones that won't benefit cultivation one bit. I definitely would like a practice though, that I could do walking to work, or sitting down without anyone around being able to notice what I'm doing. I work as a network technician, so there are times when if nobody has a problem, i'm stuck surfing the web Take it easy, Ben -
Pros and Cons of sharing spiritual experiences

Anyone else sweating every night after doing Kunlun. I pretty much wake up soaked, and my clothes and bed are soaked, and if I sleep naked, I get the same results.. I wake up and move my hands around my fiance to see if she's soaked too, but nothing. It is like someone dumped a bucket of water on me, but missed her completely .
