GAWD! Why was I such a jerk in that above post? I did catch a nymph btw!
  5. I wrote a 64 Saying's booklet for my students a few years back. It was stuff I picked up from my master and things I collected from places like the Tai Chi Classics. This is #41 and it sums up the spirit of my Tai Chi practice pretty well. I was taught the 13 forms were made up of the 8 energies in the arms and the 5 elements in the legs. In the original true taijiquan there is not hard strikiing or kicking and no grinding chokes or holds. There is only calm center in the midst of chaotic activity and NO APPLICATIONS.... only the Tai Chi push, yielding, redirection, evasion, advancing, retreating..... Its hard martial artists that started the whole "applications" thing. They learned the form but never penetrated to the original 13 forms so they added what they knew from other martial arts and really diluted the Art. Anyway, thats what my master told me and here is the gist of what I practice. 41 In true Tai Chi there is no attack, only defense. Let attacks come as they will, and join your energy to theirs. Redirect but cause no harm. Know your opponent, but do not let them know you. When they rise you should appear taller. When they retreat, stick to them. By knowing ourselves we know others and this is the eternal Tai Chi truth. Edit: The complete booklet- http://www.thetaobums.com/My-Advanced-Clas...dout-t4267.html

The things were brought to India by Christian missionaries. I used to live at a yoga place and I love the things. I dont know about healing vibes though.
  7. As a human or as a cow? You know cows aren't smart like us, right? If you dont believe me ask one to tell you how he feels about it.

I experimented with this a bit and I seem to remember you can regulate you body temp by your breath. Inhale longer than exhale or exhale longer than inhale... one of them heats you up and the other cools you down. You might want to try them both and see?
  14. Lower Tan Tien breathing animation/s (?)

Great idea! I am downloading the program now, but I dont know anything about graphics stuff so dont hold your breath... unless your doing breathing exercises.

I think its obvious that everyones definition of a master is different especially if you ask someone trying to sell themselves as a master or the new seeker trying to find one. Both I think have a very skewed view of one. Finding a tai chi master should be easy... punch the guy. Easy test. All the energy masters stuff can be BS'ed. Too bad there isnt an agency like master plumbers and carpenters have. I've met 20 year olds who have tripped out on LSD and think they they are masters of Tao and fully enlightened.

I agree that non-attachment is the key but what exactly will the desire for power hold me back from? I want power and I see it as a natural desire like wanting a beautiful woman. Its a natural thing that can of course be abused. Lower three chakra stuff can be difficult. Money, sex and power trip a lot of people up. I am glad I held off on all three until after 40 years of age. I think that now I can seek all three without too much trouble. First Chakra: Stage 1 Money, Stage 2 providing security for yourself and for others Stage 3 Kundalini Awakening Second Chakra: Stage 1 Sex, Stage 2 loving yourself and others Stage 3 Union with Tao/God Third Chakra: Stage 1 Power, Stage 2 control over yourself and your environment, Stage 3 Ascension Just free thinking....
