Taiji Bum

Do you "practice" taoism, and if so, how? I try to follow the Tao Teh Ching as closely as possible but my Taoism is more philosophical. I also practice Taijiquan and Taoist alchemy. I would consider myself a Taoist I guess. Welcome to da Bums.

OK.. all you married and ejaculation isnt an issue members.... what is your meditive attainment. Have you converted jing to chi, chi to shen, shen to void and void to Tao? What stage are you in? I have been in the celibacy camp all my life with my alchemy practice and now I am looking to get married and want to know what to expect in regards to regular or semi-regular ejaculation.

The internet forum call Bullshido really opened my eyes and its what really got me into Judo. If your into an internal martial art these guys are brutal to you. Fun!

Yeah... there's always a few ungrateful worms in every bushel of good apples. These are usually the same people who want to punish the productive in society with taxes and reward the lazy with welfare. Only a sick bird fouls its own nest.

Kinda. I had a couple transliterated copies with a Chinese dictionary for it plus many, many translations including the earliest found copy that was found in a tomb in the 1990's. So I cant read Chinese but I went through it with a Chinese dictionary. Not the ancient Chinese written ones but the modern Tao Teh Ching, mind you. I did the same thing with Hebrew and the Torah and Greek and the New Testament.

I never understood those that shy away from power and think its a bad thing. Sorta like the people why say money is a bad thing too. That always makes me wonder because they are usually poor and powerless. Do people say things like that to make themselves feel better? Whats wrong with power? The Tao Teh Ching is the ultimate book on how to become god-like in power.... so whats wrong with power?

I found this to one of the most fascinating Taobum reads yet. I love looking to animals to learn about humanity. The Pygmy Chimps have a lot to teach us appearently.

Did you have an unbalanced awakening? I seem to be getting more focused as my cultivation practice goes on and not less focused. I'd like to think I am working on the Ajna at the moment but nowhere near the crown chakra. Was there a sign or something when your crown opened or was it gradual?

You walk into a church and see superstition? I walk into a church and notice the principles of Sacred Geometry in its architecture and observing a ritual designed to raise the consciousness of the worshippers through a dramatic reinactment in symbolic form of a mans life and death that represents the Hero's Journey or the process of enlightenment and alchemy. The Catholic Liturgical year is a symbolic representation of the alchemical process as laid out in WESTERN and TAOIST ALCHEMY! Its not superstition but an intuitive tool used to lead a person with enough insight to enlightenment. Thats what the rituals are for. If all you see is superstition then study some kabbalah. Many religions are the same with their rites and buddhism has the same properties as does the old Jewish sacrificial rites. Too bad you see only superstition.....

You should know us Tao Bums just dont "cover" a topic and stop by now. We beat it to death. Then dance on its corpse. We then erect a memorial and organize a protest before the cement has hardened. Then a year later someone bumps it back up to the top and the process starts all over.

I think heaven has to do with the higher planes and those who dwell there such as ascended beings and whatever native things are from there. But, who are we to say there is no Jade Emperor ruling the Chinese heavens? Whats so bad about the idea of a heaven? Can fish understand a monkey? Can humans understand an angel? I've been OBE so many times I can see how a heavan can exist but to be honest, I have never seen it.

Religious Taoism has a heaven just like Christians do.

Thats a concern for you? I suddenly respect him a lot more if he was truly a Marine. I did the first Gulf War in the Army Special Forces attached to an intelligence unit most of the time. Do you seriously have a problem with those who served or did I misread your intention?
