  1. Kung Fu Panda

OK, dont laugh. I just watched Kung Fu Panda and it is actually a pretty good allegorical story of enlightenment in the Taoist tradition. It even has the old master ascending, a middle master training the new master. It's a three level allegorical story like The Lord of the Rings except being Taoist instead of Christian. I guess all truths are the same at the level of spiritual cultivation though. It also uses every cliche and it is rip roaring funny!
  2. The Tao, Enlightement & Martial Arts

Taijiquan moves qi through out the body much like accupuncture stimulates qi, but on a larger scale. Standing meditation builds/strengthens/gathers your qi and taijiquan teaches you how to move it. The more qi you have moving through your body the healthier you are and the easier enlighenment will come... and thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
  3. I probably don't belong here.........

This is my 100 days which is essentially kundalini rising. http://www.thetaobums.com/My-100-Days-SPOI...cret-t4225.html The process ended here- http://www.thetaobums.com/My-Nine-Years-Fa...Wall-t5913.html When it comes to kundalini I think it started in 1992 with a shaktipat during meditation where I felt something like a pillar of liquid lightening crash down on the top of my head and explode in my brain, then it descended into my chest and exploded there and finally it descended again to my lower belly and exploded there. After that it spread to my entire body. What funny is that exactly 7 years later TO THE DAY I had my final rising experience where at the end of the "soul tunnel" I say a flaming swastika in the center of my brain.

Tied in with the MCO is bone breathing. Ever heard of it? I have a small explanation of it here. http://www.thetaobums.com/Qi-Compression-B...Kung-t5314.html
  8. Taiji ~ Death Touch or Healing Hand?

I'm aware of the combat history of taijiquan, but I think most American taijiquan has been taken over by peace-seeking jedi wannabe's like me.

In my opinion kundalini and MCO are the same thing except MCO is the complete turning of the energy wheel and kundalini just goes up. It sounds like to me that what your doing, your doing right. When you start to meditate its not all peace and light, but usually pain and fright. Its like an experienced runner saying how good running feels, then you go out and run and it feels horrible. Obligatory Eastern Sounding Pithy Saying: You cant get though this energy block to relax, but you have to relax to get through the energy block.
  11. Taiji ~ Death Touch or Healing Hand?

Nice, thats what I teach my students. Treat your opponent like a two year old. If a two year old charges you, what you do is guide them gently in a spiral or yield/evade. You dont harm them.

I thought I would bump this since I am going to do a cleanse next week. Psyllium Husks and bentonite clay with epsom salt? Is that the ticket?
