Clothing? Well being a guy the first think I thought was "can I see you naked" she had a reply which was funny in itself so then I went opposite and typed in "clothing" and that was WAY funnier.

I went live foods for 6 months which was only fruits, live veggies, sprouts and I got really sick. It wasn't "detox sick" since I was already a vegetarian for seven years. I was just not getting good nutriton which was my fault. I never before or since felt such attunement with the universe though. There is protein in fruit but you really got to eat the nuts and work with someone certified and who knows what their doing. The thing I remember most about that period was how clearly I was thinking. Its definately healthy.

There is a relationship between matter and energy but to say they are the same thing makes no scientific sense. Energy is the capacity of a physical system to perform work.

Gross Sense Impressions of the Transformation Process
Taiji Bum replied to Taiji Bum's topic in General Discussion
Not really. What do you mean? -
No, lust is a vice created when our minds objectify the opposite sex. If we stopped doing that we would have much happier marraiges and families. Love should be the motivation behind children and procreation and not lust. As evolved humans, our base instinct for procreation is love.... not lust.

Gross Sense Impressions of the Transformation Process
Taiji Bum replied to Taiji Bum's topic in General Discussion
Yeah Cat, they're my own descriptions/formulations. The process is Taoist and from traditional souces but the sense impression are what I experienced. So take THAT for what its worth.... -
We have many different kinds of people here and if you dont like Christian scripture being quoted well.... do you feel the same about Buddhist scritpure? I know that this is a Taoist site but we accept all kinds here. Personally, I am a devout Catholic who practices Taoist alchemy. I loved reading that scripture so you just found your "single person"...... but probably just me loved it though to be honest.

Gross Sense Impressions of the Transformation Process
Taiji Bum replied to Taiji Bum's topic in General Discussion
With me it was more like I felt like my entire body was flying upwards but at the same time I felt the liquid lightening ripping up my spine. It was an odd dual perception thingy. -
Didn't Yang Chen Fu also have a reputation for hurting his students? I think Chen Man Ching used to talk about the beatings he used to get.

THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER- http://www.alchemylab.com/golden_flower.htm Aren't we pure energy to begin with? No. We're beings of matter. If you believe your pure energy try walking through a wall or flying. I've heard people argue that were already pure energy before and then wax vexy about quantum level stuff and that our bodies are primarily space as is everything else, but the "walking through the wall" experiment proves them to be just word games. We are physical state beings and not energy state beings. Doesn't it just depend on your perception at the gross level vs. the internal level? Maybe.... are you one of those people who like to say "were already one with the universe" if I were to say, "I want to be one with the universe"? In the ascended state you are one with the universe to the point that your aware of EVERYTHING going on here on earth. Such as you know what I am drinking and if I like it or not as I am in Michigan while your there in Mass. Its not a matter of perspective on internal and external in my opinion. What benefit does this have? Back to my original question: why? what is the goal of that? Immortality. You might say were already immortal but we are not. In the ascended state if you take a bullet to the head it means nothing since you are pure energy. If you do discorperate you can make yourself a new body at will. You can spend the morning on the surface of the sun, noon on the moon and evening eating dinner in Paris if you want or you can discorperate and be beyond time and space. Can you do any of that? You might say you dont want to but hey.... I do. Thats my goal in practicing Taoism. Can you dig it?

Yeah, thanks..... Edit done. Havent', haven't, haven't!

If all you have to do is drop the ego mind to merge with Tao then I think your only at the level of mind. Taoists traditionally try to transform body into one of pure energy by transforming the body and mind stage by stage. We say 100 days to build the foundation, 10 months to carry baby shen, 3 years to nurture and 9 years to train. At the end you emit light and move the earth and your physical body transforms into one of light over time. I follow THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER most closely and it doesn't say anything about dropping the ego mind. From what I can tell Taoist want the ego to survive. The thought that "were already there" is common but I dont subscribe to it. Many here do however so dont take what I say as normal for Tao Bums or Taoists in general. Heres two ideas of Ascension: Theosophical Ascension- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascended_master TV Show Stargate- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascension_(Stargate)

You've never heard of Ascension before?

No dangers. I haven't masturbated since 1993 and I am fine physically, mentally and I think my spiritual progress was enhanced by the choice to retain.

My ultimate goal is "Ascension".

Jewels in the ashes of masters, adepts, saints etc.

The Zohar talks about that somewhere. I cant really remember where but I think it has something to do with "Luz" whatever that is. Sorry I dont have a better memory but the Zohar definately talks about it so I bet other kabalistic texts do to. -
Communities Like The Tao Bums, That Focus Solely On Serious Qigong/Neigong Discussion?
Taiji Bum replied to mwight's topic in General Discussion
No qi gong forum has the traffic that the Tao Bums has nor is there another one with so many people who are actually practicing qi/nei gong on a regular basis. I've been on several and this is the best there is. I think the best stuff here is the journal sections. Thats where the serious work is being done without the socializing. -
The Masonic Lodge I am joining (hopefully) has a $200 fee to apply and then $70 a year dues. Thats pretty cheap in my book. I dont know what the Scottish Rite or York Rite charge for dues but thats where a lot of the esoteric stuff is I hear.

Is reserving jing even necessary? Yes, in my opinion.
